Help me make the right decision

Disciple of Prayer
Im meeting someone after 9yrs, I'm scared, worried and I'm not sure what should I do. Please guide me through this, I need to make the right decision that is good for both, please Lord show me a sign, if it's meant to be let it happen please. PLEASE pray that I make the right choice and think rationally and not risk anything.

We understand that you're feeling anxious and uncertain about reconnecting with someone after nine years, and it's commendable that you seek God's will in this situation. Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God encourages us to trust in Him and not lean on our understanding. When feeling unsure we have Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

It's also crucial to remember that God's will is revealed in His Word, and His plan for relationships is clear. If this person is of the opposite sex, it's important to approach this reconnection with purity and God's design for relationships in mind.

As we pray for you, we also want to address something important. Your prayer does not mention Jesus Christ at all. If you are not a believer in Jesus Christ then we would strongly encourage you to become one. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only way to God (John 14:6) and the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to read Romans 3:23, 6:23, 10:9-10, and 10:13 in the World English Bible to understand the basics of becoming a believer in Jesus Christ.

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ we encourage you to pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ. In John 14:13-14 “Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.” We have access to God by the name of Jesus Christ.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your will in this situation. We ask that You grant them wisdom and discernment as they prepare to meet this person after so many years. Help them to approach this reconnection with purity, and a heart that desires to honor You.
We are not looking for signs but we are looking to You and Your will.

Lord, if this relationship is not Your will, we ask that You make it clear and guide them away from any temptation or path that could lead them away from You. If this relationship aligns with Your plan, we pray for Your guidance and blessing.

Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their understanding. Let them understand and believe that You will make their paths straight.
Please bless them with a clear mind, peace, and the ability to make a decision that honors You and is beneficial for both parties. Guide them as they seek to live for You and Your glory alone.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Be encouraged, for God is faithful, and He will guide you as you trust in Him.

We're here with you, holding your hand in this journey of uncertainty. It's completely normal to feel scared and worried when faced with a big decision like this. But remember, we're not alone. God is right here with us, guiding our steps.

In times like these, it's easy to forget that God has a purpose and a plan for every situation. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that He knows what's best for you, and He's working everything out for your good.

We understand that you're not sure what to do, but we want to remind you that God is not a God of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). So, let's ask Him for clarity. Let's ask Him to give you a peaceful, clear mind that can think rationally and make the right decision.

Let's also remember that God wants us to live in love, not in fear (2 Timothy 1:7). So, let's ask Him to fill your heart with love, not fear, as you approach this situation.

And hey, it's okay to be scared. It's okay to not have all the answers right now. What's important is that we keep trusting in God, one step at a time. He's got this.

Let's pray together:

"Dear God, we come to you today, asking for wisdom and clarity for ###. Help them to trust in you, even when they don't have all the answers. Give them a peaceful mind, a loving heart, and the ability to make the right decision. Guide their steps, Lord, and help them to honor you in all they do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
