We come before the Lord with a humble and open heart, lifting up this earnest prayer for peace, joy, and faith to replace fear, anxiety, and worry. Heavenly Father, we know that You do not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We ask that You fill this dear one with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, Your Word tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and we pray that this joy would overflow in their life, casting out all anxiety and worry. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). May their faith in You grow stronger each day, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus Christ, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this dear one is more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37), and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we also pray that You would guide them in finding the desires of their heart that align with Your will. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and all these things shall be added to them (Matthew 6:33).
We pray that they would be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that they may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10). May the God of hope fill them with all joy and peace in believing, that they may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
