Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already brought in your life, for it is He who gives victory and it is His mercy that has sustained you as you have prayed and cried out to Him. We thank God for hearing your cries and for beginning this good work in you, and we are confident of what is written in Philippians 1:6 that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.

We stand with you now to pray for lasting and true deliverance and for complete purity of heart for the glory of God, for we know that sexual sin is not a small matter before the Lord. The Scripture is clear and lovingly rebukes and warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18 to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Jesus Himself taught in Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Pornography, masturbation, and flirting with the opposite sex outside of godly courtship toward marriage all flow from lust and impurity, and they defile the heart and the body which is to be a temple of the Holy Spirit as taught in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. God calls us not to play with these things but to flee them, for this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. Flirting may seem harmless, but it stirs up desires that belong only within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman for life, and it can cause both yourself and others to stumble.

We encourage you to continue to walk in the light and to take decisive action to remove these sins forever, trusting not in your own strength but in the power of the Holy Spirit. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind in Romans 12:2, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ in 2 Corinthians 10:5. We encourage you to make a covenant with your eyes as in Job 31:1, to guard your heart with all diligence for out of it is the wellspring of life in Proverbs 4:23, to cut off every source of temptation, to fast and pray, to fill your mind daily with the Word of God, to walk by the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh in Galatians 5:16, and to seek godly accountability with mature believers who will help you walk in holiness. Remember the promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, and in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We lift you up together before the Father now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You for Your mercy and for the improvement You have already given to our brother. We praise You for hearing his prayers and his tears. Lord, we ask that You would help him and guide him to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life and heart. Renew his mind, Lord, create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him as in Psalm 51:10. Make him very wise, grant him wisdom liberally as You have promised in James 1:5, so that he may discern and hate evil and cling to what is good. Let these sins be forever far from him, let him flee from every appearance of evil and walk in purity and self-control by Your Spirit. Show him mercy, speak to him, give him understanding and complete deliverance, and let him not be conformed to his former lusts but be holy in all his conduct. Strengthen him when he is tempted, remind him that his body is Your temple, and help him to glorify You in his body and spirit which are Yours. Establish him in lasting and true holiness, that his life may bear fruit for Your glory alone. We pray that You would fill him with Your peace and assurance that he is forgiven and being made new day by day. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

Thank you for opening your heart with us. We hear how much you have prayed and wept over this, and we rejoice with you that you are seeing real improvement. That is the Lord's mercy at work, and we join you in giving Him thanks.

We also hear your longing for lasting freedom, for your mind and heart to be renewed so these temptations lose their hold. That desire itself is a good sign of God working in you. Lasting change often comes not in one sudden moment but step by step as we learn new patterns and lean on Him daily. When old thoughts or flirting temptations come, it does not mean you have failed, it is an invitation to turn quickly to Him again.

One thing that has helped many who walk this same road is not walking alone. We would encourage you to invite one trusted, mature believer or pastor to be a regular, honest check in for you, someone who can pray with you, ask how you are doing, and encourage you when it is hard. A small support group can offer that same steady help.

Father, in Jesus name we thank You for the progress You have already given our brother. We ask for Your mercy and renewing work in his mind and heart, for wisdom to make choices that honor You, and for strength to keep turning from what harms him. Fill him with Your peace and keep drawing him closer to You. Amen.

There is great cause to give all glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ with you for the improvement He has already wrought, and great cause to continue in prayer that the work may be lasting and true and for the glory of God alone.

Your cry has been heard, for you have cried much and prayed much, and the Lord does not shut His ear to such cries. When a child of God in deep distress believes in his Father and steadily looks to Him for deliverance, those eyes have mighty power with Him. He that has begun a good work will perfect it, but we must never forget that deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He must bring you forth, and He will make that deliverance effectual.

You rightly ask that these sins may be forever removed from your life and heart, and that your mind may be renewed and made wise. This is according to the mind of God, for He has given to His people a higher nature which was born in them by regeneration, whereby they are made partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. That corruption works in this way, that lust when it has conceived brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. Any sin, whatever it is, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death, rest assured of that. Therefore purity must be sought with all your heart, for charity and purity are the two great garments of Christianity, and charity without purity will be of no use. Without holiness no man shall see the Lord.

Take comfort also in this, that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification, for as we are justified through Jesus Christ, we must also expect to receive sanctification from a heavenly source. We must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for this. The prisoner is ready to be condemned, but there comes to him undeserved deliverance, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. God has invented the way and God has found a ransom, and He Himself proclaims, I have found a ransom. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it, and then is the deliverance certain, indeed it is already accomplished in Christ.

So let us pray together that the Lord will show you mercy, speak to you, give you understanding and full deliverance, and renew your mind day by day.

O Lord our God, we bless Thee for what Thou hast already done in this soul, for Thou hast restrained the fierce power of lust and given some victory. Complete what Thou hast begun. Work in this heart a deep abhorrence of all impurity, whether in thought or sight or deed or flirtation, and set a watch before the eyes and the heart. Wash the soul in the precious blood of Christ and by Thy Spirit make it pure. Renew the mind, make this Thy child very wise to flee from every occasion of sin and to walk in the way of holiness, remembering that Thou hast ordained that intimacy belongs only within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman in marriage. Grant wisdom to cut off provision for the flesh, to fill the mind with Thy Word, to seek fellowship and accountability, and to look steadily to Christ who is alive and is our familiar Friend. Let this deliverance be attended with enrichment, bringing forth silver and gold, even the graces of faith and love and joy. And grant that this tried one may live and declare the works of the Lord, that others in like trouble may be comforted. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour and Ransom, Amen.

Be of good courage. He that has brought you thus far will bring you forth with a mighty hand. Keep close to Christ, keep in the Word, keep in prayer, and He will keep you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We give thanks with you to the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement He has already granted, and we give Him all the glory for it. To see that those chains of pornography, masturbation, flirting and other sexual sins are being loosened is His mercy and His power, and we rejoice that you have cried out to Him with tears. God hears such prayer. He does not despise a broken and contrite heart that seeks Him in earnest.

You ask for lasting and true deliverance, for a renewed mind and for wisdom to keep these sins far from you forever, and we join our prayers to yours for this. As it is written, Seek and you shall find, but consider how gold is found, with much labor. So we are taught to seek the Lord with our hands by night before Him, as one who seeks what is lost, concentrating the mind, enquiring, persevering, not turning back. Your crying and praying is part of that seeking, and we pray that God will keep you in it until you find full deliverance.

Scripture teaches that renewal is not the making of a different person, but the renewing of the same person who has grown old in sin. You are to be renewed in the spirit of your mind. When the Spirit dwells in the mind, old deeds cannot remain, for the Spirit will not endure them. We pray that God will renew you in this way, that He will give you His Spirit to rule your thoughts, for when the mind becomes undistinguishing and loses the reins, all else is dragged out of course and overturned. But when the mind is held firm by the Spirit, the whole life is ordered.

For this reason flee youthful lusts. Not only the lust of fornication, but every inordinate desire that belongs to an unsettled heart is a youthful lust, and we must flee it, not stand and parley with it. God is Spirit, and He is served not by outward cleansing alone but by that which is incorporeal in us, the soul and purity of mind. True worship is in spirit and in truth. This means to offer yourself as a living sacrifice, to circumcise not the flesh but evil thoughts, to crucify and slay unreasonable desires. We pray that God will teach you to do this, to guard the eyes, to guard the thoughts, to keep yourself for that which is holy. Sex and the union of bodies belong within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and outside of it we are called to continence and purity for the glory of God.

Learn virtue step by step, as children learn letters. First learn not to swear or speak evil, then not to envy, not to lust, not to be gluttonous or slothful, and then to practice the things of the Spirit, continence, temperance, righteousness, gentleness and a contrite mind, joining one to another and writing them upon the soul. Do not be discouraged if the labor is great to change the deliberate will and to tear up error by the roots. God grants more than mere escape from temptation, He grants power to despise it and to stand above it.

So we pray for you now in the Name of Jesus Christ, that God will show you mercy, speak to you, give you understanding and deliverance, and work in you a lasting renewal. May He make you very wise, establish your heart, keep you from returning to what defiles, and lead you to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from your life and heart. May He fill you with His Spirit, make your mind pure and watchful, and keep you walking in truth and holiness, for His glory. We will continue to pray that He will complete the good work He has begun in you, and we urge you to keep seeking, keep fleeing, keep abiding in Christ, trusting not in your own strength but in His grace which is able to keep you.
