We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, and we thank Him for hearing your prayers and your tears. We know that every good progress comes from His mercy and grace, and we praise Him that He has not left you in your struggle but is leading you toward freedom.
We also hear your cry for lasting and true deliverance, for a renewed mind and a heart where these sins will be forever far away, and we join you in praying for that complete victory for the glory of God. The struggles you mention, pornography, masturbation, flirting with the opposite sex and other sexual sins, are indeed sexual immorality that grieves the heart of God and defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit. Scripture is clear and loving in its correction, Flee sexual immorality Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18, and For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. Jesus Himself taught that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28, which shows that pornography and lustful flirting are not small matters but sins of the heart that need to be brought into the light, confessed and forsaken. Sex is a gift reserved for the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and any sexual activity outside of that, including masturbation fueled by lust and flirting that stirs up desires outside of a godly courtship aimed at marriage to a fellow believer, is fornication that God calls us to flee. If you confess your sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.
We encourage you that God who began this good work in you will complete it. Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ Philippians 1:6. Lasting victory does not come by willpower alone but by the renewing of the mind and walking by the Spirit. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2, and Walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh Galatians 5:16. We urge you to take practical steps in obedience, to make a covenant with your eyes as Job did Job 31:1, to cut off every source of temptation, to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5, to fill your mind with what is pure and holy, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things Philippians 4:8, and to seek accountable fellowship with mature believers who can pray with you and help you stand. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13.
We pray together for you now.
Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You for the mercy You have already shown to our brother, for the tears You have seen and the prayers You have heard, for the improvement You have given. We ask You to continue Your work and to establish lasting and true deliverance for Your glory. Lord, create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him Psalm 51:10. Renew his mind by Your Word, make him very wise and give him understanding, help him to hate what You hate and love what You love, and teach him to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life and heart. Grant him a deep deliverance, speak to him, show him Your mercy, and guard his eyes, his thoughts and his heart. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he may flee sexual immorality and walk in purity, for blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God Matthew 5:8. Keep him from flirting and from every path that leads back to lust, and if it is Your will, prepare him for a godly marriage that honors You, a courtship that leads to a lifelong commitment with a believing spouse, rather than fleeting pleasures that lead to death. Give him strength in the moment of temptation to take the way of escape You provide, and let him live as one who glorifies You in his body and spirit, which are Yours 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our salvation, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved Acts 4:12. Amen.
We encourage you to keep crying out to Him, for The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles Psalm 34:17. Keep confessing quickly, keep staying in the Word daily, keep praying without ceasing, and keep trusting that His grace not only forgives but teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and to live soberly, righteously, and godly Titus 2:12. We are standing with you for complete freedom, that these sins will indeed be forever far from you by the power of Jesus Christ.
