We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, and we join you in crying out for lasting and true deliverance for the glory of God. Your tears and prayers have not been in vain, for the Lord hears the contrite heart and He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you, as it is written in Philippians 1:6, He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.
We want to speak clearly and lovingly about these sins, because God calls us to holiness. Pornography, masturbation, flirting with the opposite sex outside of godly courtship, and all sexual sin are not small struggles but are lust of the heart and flesh that defile us. Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. And we are commanded in 1 Corinthians 6:18 to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. These things grieve the Holy Spirit and keep us from the purity God desires, for this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. Flirting may seem harmless, but it often stirs up desires that belong only within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and it does not honor God or guard your heart or the heart of another.
Yet we praise God that you have turned from these things and that you desire to be set free forever, not just for a season. True freedom comes not by willpower alone but by walking by the Spirit and renewing the mind. Romans 12:2 says, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. And Galatians 5:16 says, Walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh.
We encourage you to do whatever it takes to remove these sins from your life, just as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:29-30 to cut off what causes us to stumble. For you this will mean guarding your eyes and heart diligently, for Proverbs 4:23 says, Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. Put away every source and access to pornography, install filters, bring your computer and phone into the light, invite a mature Christian brother to hold you accountable, flee from tempting situations and conversations, and fill your mind daily with Scripture. Memorize and meditate on the Word so that when temptation comes you can take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ as in 2 Corinthians 10:5. Pray without ceasing, fast when led, and stay in fellowship where you can confess and be strengthened, for 1 John 1:9 promises, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Father, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ, giving You all glory and thanks for the victory You have already given our brother and for hearing his cries. We ask for Your mercy and abundant grace to continue this work. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him as in Psalm 51:10. Renew his mind completely, wash him with Your Word, and make him very wise with the wisdom from above, that he may discern and hate every form of evil and cling to what is good. Teach him to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life and heart, to flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace. Grant him understanding when temptation whispers, show him the way of escape that You promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13, and give him strength to take it. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he walks not in the flesh but in purity and self-control, and let these sins be forever far from him. Speak to him, Lord, comfort him, assure him of Your forgiveness and Your power to keep him. We ask that You make him steadfast, holy, and joyful, living for Your glory alone until You return. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to give thanks daily for the progress and to trust not in your own strength but in Christ who strengthens you. If you fall, do not remain in shame, but quickly confess, repent, and return to the Lord, for His mercies are new every morning. Keep crying out, keep praying, keep seeking Him in the Word, and He will keep delivering you and making you wise and pure for His glory.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
