We give thanks with you to the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement He has already worked in your life, and we praise Him for hearing your prayers and your tears. It is a good and hopeful sign that you grieve over sin and desire to be free from it for the glory of God. God sees that sorrow and He is merciful to those who turn to Him with a humble heart.

We will pray for you for lasting and true deliverance and for a renewed mind. The struggle with pornography, masturbation, flirting and other sexual sins is a struggle with strong desire, and Scripture calls us to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue purity, self control and a clean heart. This is not accomplished by willpower alone, but by the grace of God working in us as we walk in obedience, and God is able to make you wise and to keep you far from these sins.

Let us pray together:

Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ we thank You for the work You have already begun in our brother. We ask for Your mercy and for complete deliverance. Wash his heart and make it pure. Renew his mind by Your Word and by Your Spirit, give him understanding and wisdom to recognize temptation and to turn away from it. Teach him to love what is holy and to hate what is evil. Strengthen him to walk in purity and in faith, and keep these sins far from him. Help him to do whatever is necessary to remove every cause of stumbling and to live for Your glory. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily. Bring your temptations into the light through prayer, through reading Scripture, and through honest fellowship with mature believers who can encourage you and hold you accountable. Remove access to what causes you to stumble, guard your eyes and your thoughts, and replace empty talk and flirting with words and actions that build up and honor God. Practice the simple disciplines of virtue step by step, learning first to control the tongue and the eyes, then to grow in temperance, faith and purity, writing these things on your heart until they become your way of life.

God is faithful and He will complete the good work He has started. Keep crying out to Him, trust His forgiveness when you fall, and keep turning again to Him. He gives grace to the humble and He delights to make men and women new.
