Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, for it is He who hears your prayers and your tears and who is faithful to deliver. We have heard your cry and we join our faith with yours for lasting and true victory, for complete freedom for the glory of God.

We know that these sins of pornography, masturbation, flirting and all sexual sin are not small before God, for they defile the heart and the body which is meant to be a temple of the Holy Spirit. The Word tells us to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18. Jesus Himself taught that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, Matthew 5:28. Flirting with the opposite sex outside of godly courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer often feeds that lust and opens the door to temptation, rather than honoring purity. We gently rebuke these patterns because God calls us to holiness, for this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. Yet we also praise God that you have turned from them and desire to be clean, and we know that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9.

Lasting deliverance does not come by willpower alone but by the renewing of the mind and walking by the Spirit. We are told do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, Romans 12:2, and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5. We encourage you to continue to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever, to flee as Joseph fled, 2 Timothy 2:22, to make no provision for the flesh, Romans 13:14, to guard your eyes and your heart, to set up practical boundaries with internet filters and accountability with a mature believing brother, to hide the Word in your heart that you might not sin against Him, Psalm 119:11, and to walk by the Spirit so you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, Galatians 5:16. God is faithful and He will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and we thank You for the work You have already begun in our dear brother, for You have heard his prayers and seen his tears and have brought great improvement. We ask You now to complete this good work for Your glory. Lord, have mercy on him, speak to him, give him understanding and true deliverance. Create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him, Psalm 51:10. Renew his mind daily by Your Word and by Your Holy Spirit, make him very wise and give him a hatred for sin and a deep love for holiness. Teach him to take every thought captive and to flee from every appearance of evil. Help him to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life and heart, to cut off every source of temptation and to walk in purity and self-control. Fill him with Your Spirit, with strength and with wisdom that comes from above, James 1:5, so that these sins will forever be far from him. Lead him, if it is Your will for him to marry, toward a godly marriage between a man and a woman that honors You, and until then keep him pure in courtship and in singleness. Let his life be a testimony of Your delivering power. We trust Your mercy and Your faithfulness to keep him. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to stay steadfast, brother, for God who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ, Philippians 1:6. Keep crying out to Him, keep abiding in His Word, keep walking in the light with other believers, and do not grow weary, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up. We are praying for your lasting freedom and for wisdom and joy in Christ.

Thank you for reaching out with such honesty. We hear how much you have prayed and wept over this, and we join you in thanking Jesus for the real improvement you have seen. That is His mercy at work and worth giving Him glory for.

We also hear your longing for lasting change, not just a temporary break, and for a renewed mind that stays far from these patterns. Wanting that so deeply is a good sign God is already working in your heart.

In our experience, lasting freedom grows not only through private prayer but through steady daily surrender and honest support from others. One practical step that helps many is inviting one mature, trustworthy believer into the struggle for regular accountability, someone you can be completely honest with week by week, or connecting with a small Christian support group where you can walk this out openly rather than alone. A pastor or Christian counselor can also help you sort through triggers and build healthier rhythms of thought and life.

We are standing with you in this and we will keep praying.

Father, thank You for the change You have already brought in our brother's life. Have mercy and continue Your good work in him. Renew his mind, give him wisdom and strength to turn from what harms him, and draw him closer to Yourself each day. Guard his heart and lead him in Your way. In Jesus' name, amen.

We rejoice with you to hear that the Lord has already wrought a great improvement in you and we give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ, for every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from the Father of Lights. That you have been kept from going further down toward the pit is of His free grace alone, and that you now hate the sin which once held you is an evidence that He has begun a work of deliverance in you.

You write plainly of pornography, masturbation, flirting and other sexual sins, and you desire that they may be removed forever from your life and heart. This is a right and holy desire, for the only hope we can have of eternal life is by being parted from sin, and we must fight against sin till it is utterly put away from us. The Christian is to keep himself unspotted from the world, and to cry to God to preserve him from evil. He never expects to get any good from the world or from the spots of the world, and when he finds company that is loose or fast he must get away from them.

Take comfort that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. No man would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it, but He is gracious and says, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. The prisoner ready to be executed receives undeserved deliverance because the Kings own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. God has not only invented the way, He has found the ransom, and it is a gift of Divine Love. He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and He must be looked to altogether and alone for that sanctification.

We also hear your weeping and your much prayer, and we would remind you that your afflictions and your chastenings bear the blessed aspect of a Fathers hand. The Lord Himself kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door, and that which comes from His rod is meant to make even the sharpest smart to be profitable. He keeps back the soul from the pit and the life from perishing, though He may chasten with pain for a season that you may be made to loathe sin and to love holiness.

Therefore we will pray with you as you have asked.

We pray that God will help you and guide you to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from your life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. We pray that He will work in you and renew your mind according to His Word, and make you very wise with that wisdom which comes from above, so that these sins will be far from you and your feet be kept from every path of impurity. We pray that He will show you mercy, speak to you, give you understanding and full deliverance, and keep you unspotted and pure before Him. We pray that the power of Christ may make you free indeed, for there is no true liberty but that of which Christ makes you free, and you must be born again from above if you are to live above.

Continue to look to Christ and to His ransom, continue to flee from every occasion and appearance of evil, to guard your eyes and your heart, to walk in the light and to seek the help of faithful company, and to declare the works of the Lord who has chastened you sorely but not given you over unto death. He who has begun to deliver you will keep you, for God has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins.

May the Lord hear your cry, may He perfect what He has begun, and may you live to declare His mighty deliverance, giving Him all the glory forever. Amen.
