I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...

We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life. We have heard your crying and your earnest prayers, and we join with you now to seek lasting and true deliverance for the glory of God. The Lord sees your tears and hears your cry, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.

We want to speak truthfully and lovingly about these sins, because God calls us to holiness. Pornography, masturbation, flirting that stirs lust, and all sexual sin outside of marriage are not small struggles, they are sexual immorality that God calls us to flee. As it is written, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Cor 6:18 and, everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matt 5:28 God designed sexual intimacy as a holy gift to be enjoyed only within the lifelong marriage covenant between one man and one woman, and any use of it outside of that is fornication which defiles the heart and the body which is meant to be a temple of the Holy Spirit. We rebuke these sins along with you because they wage war against your soul, but we also rejoice that you desire to be free and to have a clean heart before God.

We thank God that you are not conforming to this world any longer but desire to be transformed. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Rom 12:2 Lasting freedom will not come by willpower alone but by walking daily by the Holy Spirit, for it is written, But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Gal 5:16 This means making no provision for the flesh, fleeing youthful lusts and pursuing righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Tim 2:22 We encourage you to cut off every source of temptation without compromise, to guard your eyes and your heart, to bring your thoughts captive to Christ, to fill your mind daily with Scripture, and to walk in open accountability with mature believing brothers who will pray with you and check on you. When temptation comes, remember that each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin. The sin, when it is full grown, produces death. Jas 1:14-15 Therefore submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We also remind you of God's mercy and faithfulness when you confess and turn from sin. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 He delights to create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you. Ps 51:10

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our dear brother to You with thanksgiving for the victory You have already given over pornography, masturbation, flirting and sexual sin. We ask You to perfect that work and to grant lasting and true deliverance. Lord, renew his mind, make him very wise in Your Word, and show him whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life and heart. Speak to him, give him understanding, pour out Your mercy, and set him completely free. Create in him a clean heart, O God, renew a right spirit within him, and help him to walk by the Spirit so that he will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Teach him to flee every appearance of evil, to guard his eyes and thoughts, and to pursue holiness without which no one will see You. Fill him with Your strength when he is weak, comfort him when he has cried, and let him know that Your grace is sufficient and Your power is made perfect in weakness. We pray that You will guide him into a life of purity that honors marriage and glorifies You, and that You will keep these sins forever far from him. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We were moved by your honesty and by the way you have been seeking the Lord through tears and prayer. We join you in giving all the glory to Jesus for the improvement you have already seen, that is His mercy at work, and we thank Him with you. Wanting lasting freedom is understandable, and it can feel discouraging when progress feels fragile. What we have seen is that this kind of growth is less often a single moment and more a daily walk of surrender, and it becomes steadier when we do not walk alone. Isolation tends to make temptation stronger, while having another person to lift you up makes it easier to stay on the path you want.

One step that helps many is steady accountability, one trusted, mature believer of the same sex, a pastor, or a small Christian support group where you can be known honestly week by week. Not for shame, but for encouragement, prayer, and honest feedback as you learn to guard your thoughts and habits.

We are praying for you and we will keep praying.

Father, thank You for the work You have already begun and for hearing every prayer and tear. Have mercy and speak clearly, renew his mind and give him wisdom day by day. Lead him to the people and rhythms that will strengthen him, and keep him close to You as he seeks to live for Your glory. In Jesus' name, amen.

We give thanks with you unto the Lord Jesus Christ for the mercy already shown, and we have heard your tears and cries with much tenderness of heart. That you can speak of great improvement is itself a token of grace, for deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He must bring us forth, and when the Lamb was slain the way of deliverance was opened, for God has found a ransom and that ransom is His own Son who bore the penalty of our iniquities.

You do well to desire that these sins be removed forever from your life and heart, and to ask that your mind be renewed and made wise. Purity and charity are the two great garments of Christianity, and without holiness no man shall see the Lord. The Scripture warns us plainly that when lust has conceived it brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. Any sin whatever it is, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death. Rest assured of that. Therefore we must not make peace with that which God calls unclean, but flee it, as one flees poison.

Yet there is great hope for you, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification. By regeneration you become a partaker of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. This higher nature lifts you up into familiarity with God, and it is He who keeps you.

We will pray for you, and we entreat you to continue in prayer yourself, looking unto Jesus Christ for all things. He is not a distant figure who lived long ago and died, but He is alive and is our familiar Friend, and the eyes of a child of God in deep distress looking steadily to Him for deliverance have mighty power with Him. Cry to Him still, for He does whisper to the heart of His children in trial and assures them that they shall not be crushed. The clock of mercy strikes in Heaven the hour of deliverance according to His eternal purpose.

Let us pray together that the Lord will show you mercy, speak to you, give you understanding and full deliverance, that He will renew your mind day by day through His Word, make you very wise to discern and to turn from every occasion and appearance of evil, and keep you in purity of heart and life for His glory. May He teach your hands to war against temptation, your eyes to look away from vanity, and your feet to walk in the way of holiness. May He establish you so that these sins will be far from you, not by your own strength, but by His keeping power.

And when He has perfected this deliverance, you shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord. For we have been delivered from worse enemies than any earthly foe, and saved by a greater salvation, and our song should be the more jubilant. Give all glory to Him, and tell what He has done, that others in like trouble may take comfort.

We commend you to the Lord who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless. Abide in Christ, feed daily upon the Scriptures, walk in the light, seek the fellowship and counsel of godly brethren, and keep your heart with all diligence. The Lord who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
