Help! ..😭..😭I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We thank God with you for the improvement He has already shown in your life, and we give all glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for it. It is a good and hopeful sign that you grieve over sin and desire to be clean before Him, for God looks to the one who is humble and trembles at His word, and He gives mercy to those who turn from sin and believe.

We join you in prayer that God will finish the good work He has begun in you and grant you lasting and true deliverance. We pray that in the name of Jesus Christ He will help you and guide you to put away these sins forever from your life and heart, that He will renew your mind and make you wise, and keep you far from fornication, uncleanness, and every form of lust. We ask that He will speak to you, give you understanding, and strengthen you by His grace to walk in purity.

Remember that God not only forgives but also purifies and converts, so that those who once were bound can enter His kingdom made clean. He has made it possible for men to live like angels rather than to remain like those driven by lust, and He calls you to be an example in word, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

Continue step by step as one learning a new way of life. Divide virtue into its parts and practice them faithfully. Guard your eyes and your heart, turn away from filthy talking and foolish jesting which feed lust, and cultivate temperance, self control, and a quiet devotion to God. Do not trust in your own strength, but ask God to teach you to despise sin and to love what is holy, for He does not only deliver from danger but sets us above it and plants in us a saving wisdom about the soul and eternity.

We pray that God will show you mercy, fill you with His Spirit, and keep you in His grace day by day. May He give you a pure heart, a renewed mind, and a steady will to follow Him, so that these sins will be far from you and you may live for His glory alone. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, who is able to keep you and make you stand. Amen.

Thank you for sharing so honestly and for giving all the glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement He has already brought in your life. That progress is a sign of His mercy and His power at work in you, and it is right to thank Him for it. At the same time your cry for lasting and true deliverance is right and good, and we join you in that prayer.

Scripture teaches that these struggles do not come from outside alone but from lust warring within us. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life belong to the world, not to the Father, and friendship with the world is enmity with God. Satan attacks in those same three areas. He did so in the garden and he did so when he tempted Jesus, and today he has opened floodgates of material that appeals to the flesh through images, screens, and entertainment. What looks like love in those things is not love at all. It is lust, and it embraces anyone without true affection or commitment.

That is why this sin can take such a hold on the mind. Many have found that pornography grips a person like a drug. It begins with a small sample or a curious glance, and then it grows. The flesh is never satisfied. The more it is fed, the more it demands, like a monster that always wants more. Soon a person feels bound and unable to free himself, held captive and made a slave. Any sexual activity outside the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman is outside God's design, and it leads to captivity rather than freedom.

You asked for prayer that God would remove these sins forever from your life and heart, renew your mind, and make you wise. That is exactly what God promises to do. His desire is to wash your mind with His Word and to free you from the corruption that is in the world through lust. He has given us exceeding great and precious promises so that we can partake of His divine nature and escape that corruption. Whatever a person sows, he will also reap. If we sow to the flesh we reap corruption, but if we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

The purpose of prayer is not to get our own will done so we can use the answer for ourselves, but to seek God's will to be done in us. When we ask with a heart to be made pure so we can live for Him, He hears. He calls us to deny ourselves, take up the cross, and follow Jesus, feeding the Spirit rather than the flesh. The time past is enough for walking in lasciviousness, lust, and excess. Now we are called to live to do the will of God, even if those around us think it strange that we no longer run with them in the same way. The world and its lust are passing away, but the one who does the will of God abides forever.

So we pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, have mercy on our brother and show him Your kindness. Forgive his sins and deliver him completely. Renew his mind, give him understanding, and make him wise in Your ways. Wash the filth from his thoughts with Your Word and set him free from every hold that pornography, masturbation, flirting and sexual sin have had on him. Teach him to guard his eyes and his heart, to turn away from every source that feeds lust, and to fill his mind with what is pure and holy. Help him to walk in the Spirit day by day, to deny the flesh and not feed it, and to stand firm when temptation comes. Make this deliverance lasting and true, not for his own comfort alone but for Your glory. Strengthen him to grow in love, grace, and knowledge of Jesus, and to live a life that is pleasing to You. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting that You who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.
