Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the progress the Lord has already brought into your life, breaking the chains of pornography, masturbation, and sexual sin. Your heartfelt cries and prayers have not gone unheard, and we see the hand of God moving in your life as you seek His glory above all else. The fact that you are pursuing lasting change for His honor is evidence of His grace at work in you. Let us stand together in agreement, lifting you before the throne of grace, where mercy and help are always found.

The struggles you face are not unique, but they are serious, for they wage war against the soul and grieve the Holy Spirit. The Bible warns us clearly about sexual immorality: "Flee sexual immorality! ā€˜Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB). These sins do not just affect the body, they corrupt the heart, distort the mind, and separate us from the purity God calls us to. But praise God, there is deliverance in the name of Jesus Christ!

We must also address the flirting with the opposite sex outside of godly boundaries. While friendship and kindness are not sinful, flirting, especially when it stirs up lust or emotional intimacy outside of marriage, can become a stumbling block. Jesus said, "But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." (Matthew 5:28 WEB). This applies not only to physical actions but also to the intentions of the heart. We must guard our hearts diligently, for from them flow the springs of life (Proverbs 4:23).

You are right to seek lasting and true change, not just temporary improvement. This requires more than willpower; it requires a transformation of the heart and mind. The apostle Paul writes, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2 WEB). This renewal comes through the Word of God, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit. It is not enough to stop sinning; we must fill our hearts and minds with what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).

We also want to encourage you to seek accountability. The Bible tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." (James 5:16 WEB). Find a trusted, godly brother in Christ who can walk with you, pray with you, and hold you accountable. Isolation is one of the enemy’s greatest tools, but fellowship and transparency bring healing and strength.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Lord, we thank You for the work You have already done in this dear one’s life. You have heard their cries, and You have begun a good work in them. We ask now, Father, that You would complete it. Strengthen them where they are weak, and break every chain that still binds them. Lord, we ask for true and lasting deliverance, not just from the outward actions, but from the desires of the heart that lead to sin.

Father, renew their mind by Your Word. Let Your truth sink deep into their spirit, replacing lies with Your promises. Give them wisdom to recognize temptation before it takes root and the strength to flee from it. Surround them with godly influences and accountability, so they are not left to battle alone. Fill their heart with a passion for You, Lord, so that the things of this world grow strangely dim in the light of Your glory and grace.

We rebuke every spirit of lust, addiction, and deception in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that this one is not a slave to sin but a child of God, called to holiness and purity. Father, show them Your mercy and grace every day. Speak to them through Your Word, through prayer, and through the counsel of Your people. Let them hear Your voice clearly, guiding them into all truth.

Lord, we also pray for their future marriage, if it is Your will. Prepare them to be a godly spouse, pure in heart and mind, ready to honor You in their union. Guard their heart from emotional entanglements that do not align with Your design. Let them seek You first, trusting that You will provide all they need in Your perfect timing.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. We trust You to finish the work You have started. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Continue to press into the Lord, dear one. The battle is real, but the victory is already won through Christ. Do not grow weary in doing what is right, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Fill your mind with Scripture, your heart with worship, and your days with godly fellowship. The Lord is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. With every temptation, He will also provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Walk in that truth, and you will see the freedom Christ died to give you.

We were so encouraged to read your update. Thank you for sharing both the struggle and the progress. We join you in giving thanks to Jesus for the improvement you are seeing, and we hear how deeply you long for lasting freedom. The tears and prayers you describe matter to God.

One thing that has helped many who walk this road is not trying to walk it alone. Lasting change tends to come through steady process more than a single moment. Having consistent accountability helps, whether that is a trusted mature believer of the same sex you can check in with honestly each week, or a small Christian support group focused on purity. Bringing thoughts and triggers into the light with another person, and staying surrendered to Christ day by day, helps keep fantasy from taking root again.

We also want to affirm that wanting wisdom and a renewed mind is a good prayer. God is patient to keep shaping us as we keep turning to Him, even when growth feels slow or uneven.

Father, we thank You for the work You have already done in our friend's life. We ask for Your mercy, for clarity and strength for each day, for a renewed mind and a heart that loves what You love. Guard our friend, give wise companions and honest community, and draw them closer to Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We give thanks with you and for you, that the Lord Jesus Christ has wrought a great improvement in your soul, and to Him be all the glory. It is no small mercy to see the chain broken in part, and to feel the power of sin rebuked, for this is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. That you have prayed and cried much is itself a token of grace at work, for the heart that once loved its lust now loathes it and cries to be made free.

Yet you do well to ask for more, and for a lasting and true deliverance, for purity is one of the two great garments of Christianity and we are called to keep ourselves unspotted from the world. Take heed, for Scripture warns us that lust, when it has conceived, brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. Any sin, whatever it is, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death. Pornography and every secret indulgence and the flirting which kindles desire outside the covenant of marriage, these are not light things, but spots which defile the soul. Marriage is ordained of God as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and it is there alone that the Lord has placed the holy joy of the union of the sexes. Outside of it, we must flee fornication and keep the vessel in sanctification and honour.

Know this, that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification. It is of small use to write to man if the distress is spiritual, for only God can deliver. He must bring you forth, and you must willingly give your hearty assent to His salvation. You can do nothing of yourself, and you know it, and therefore it must be of Free Grace only. Be of good comfort, for God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom. The King's own Son has borne the penalty, and the old, old story of the Cross is the power that can lift the prisoner from the pit. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said, I have found a ransom.

And the renewal of your mind, for which you rightly pray, is a stern work. It is called in Scripture conversion, and the same power is required in the renewal of a soul as was put forth in raising Jesus Christ from the dead. Nothing that God has made is self existent, and therefore you need daily renewal if you would persevere. Pray then that the Lord would renew your consecration, that He would give you wisdom to see the snare and hate it, and grace to turn from every occasion and appearance of evil. Use your liberty with watchfulness, keep far from the place of temptation, let the eye be guarded and the heart be kept with all diligence, and seek your strength not in resolutions but in Christ Himself.

We will pray with you now, and we trust many will join us, that the Lord in mercy would speak to you and give you understanding and full deliverance. O Lord, look upon this soul that cries after purity and after Thee. Thou hast begun a good work, perfect it unto the day of Christ. Work in him to will and to do of Thy good pleasure, renew his mind according to Thy word, make him very wise to discern and to flee the tempter's wile, and keep him unspotted. Show him mercy, speak peace through the blood of the Lamb that was slain, and make his deliverance effectual. Bring him forth into liberty, that he may not die but live and declare the works of the Lord. We ask this not for any merit in us, but through the ransom Thou hast found, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
