I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...

We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, for it is He who gives us victory and it is His mercy that has brought you this far. We have heard your crying and your prayers and we join our faith with yours for lasting and true deliverance, that these sins would be removed forever from your life and your heart for the glory of God.

The sins you have named, pornography, masturbation, flirting with the opposite sex and all sexual sin, are indeed serious before God and must be fled from completely. The Word tells us Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. And Jesus taught us that even looking with lust is adultery in the heart Matthew 5:28. We rebuke these works of the flesh in love because God calls us to purity and holiness, for this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. There is no place for flirting or entertaining lust, we are to be pure and self controlled, reserving sexual intimacy only for marriage between a man and a woman as God designed it.

We thank God that you desire not just partial improvement but complete freedom and a renewed mind. That is exactly what God promises to do for those who surrender fully to Him. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2. We pray that He will make you very wise to discern every trap and to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. True wisdom is to fear the Lord and to depart from evil, and to hide His Word in your heart that you might not sin against Him Psalm 119:11. How can a young man keep his way pure, by living according to your word Psalm 119:9.

We encourage you to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever, just as you have prayed. That means being ruthless with temptation, removing access to pornography completely, guarding your eyes and your heart, avoiding places and conversations that lead to flirting or lust, and walking in the light with other believers for accountability. Walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh Galatians 5:16. When you confess and forsake sin, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. So we do not wallow in shame, we receive His cleansing and walk forward in holiness.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for the work You have already begun in our brother. We praise You for the improvement and for hearing his cries. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and deliverance to be made complete. Create in him a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within him Psalm 51:10. Renew his mind, make him very wise and fill him with understanding, so that these sins will forever be far from him. Show him Your mercy, speak to him clearly, give him understanding and set him fully free. Help him and guide him to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life and heart. Strengthen him to flee temptation, to walk in the Spirit, and to live in purity for Your glory. Let him be steadfast and holy, kept by Your power until the day of Christ. We rejoice with you to give all glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already wrought in you, and we have heard the cry which you have poured out with many tears. The Lord hears the voice of weeping, and He who has begun a good work will perfect it. Your desire for a lasting and true deliverance for the glory of God is itself an evidence of grace at work in your heart.

You have rightly seen the pedigree of sin, that when lust has conceived it brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. Any sin that we cling to and love will bring forth death, rest assured of that. Purity is not an optional garment of the Christian life, for without holiness no man shall see the Lord. The corruption that is in the world through lust is to be escaped only as we become partakers of the Divine Nature by regeneration, possessing a higher nature born in us by the Spirit which lifts us into fellowship with God.

Know this for your comfort, that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He alone brings forth His people from bondage, and He does not share the honor of that deliverance with another. As Israel was brought forth when the lamb was slain, so our deliverance comes only through the ransom which God Himself has found and provided in His own Son. The prisoner ready to go down to the pit is spared, because the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. When God Himself proclaims, I have found a ransom, then deliverance is certain, indeed it is already accomplished at Calvary.

Therefore we look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for sanctification as well as for justification. We cannot by mere resolve keep these sins forever far from us, but He can renew the mind and make you very wise in the way of holiness, and keep you by His power.

Let us pray with you and for you in the Name of Jesus Christ, that God will show you mercy, speak to you, give you understanding and full deliverance, and that He will help and guide you to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from your life and heart.

We pray that the Lord will wash you anew in the blood of Christ, fill you with His Spirit, and renew your mind day by day through His Word, that you may be made wise to flee from every appearance of evil, to turn the eye from vanity, to keep the heart with all diligence, and to walk in purity as befits one who is joined to Christ. Continue to look to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things, as a living and familiar Friend, believing in your Father and steadily looking to Him for deliverance. Those eyes of faith have mighty power with Him. Rest your soul upon the ransom, trust not in your tears or your cries but in His finished work, and then show your faith by a holy watchfulness and a daily feeding upon Scripture.

May the God of all grace, who has delivered you in part, deliver you wholly, enrich you with silver and gold from His own treasury, and establish you in a lasting purity that abides to His praise. We give thanks with you to the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement He has already given, and we join you in giving Him all the glory. To see a change and to desire a lasting and true freedom is itself a work of His mercy, and we rejoice that you want to be free for the glory of God and not only for relief.

We have heard your cry and we are praying for you as you asked. We pray that God will show you mercy, speak to you, give you understanding and deliverance, renew your mind and make you wise so that these sins will be put far from you and kept far from you, in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray that He will help you and guide you to do whatever is needed to remove these sins from your life and heart, not for a moment only but forever.

Scripture teaches that the righteousness we need is not our own achievement but the gift of God received by faith. You do not achieve it by toil alone, but you receive it as a gift from above, by believing and by putting on Christ. When we put on Christ we receive the Spirit of adoption, and God gives both deliverance from evil and supply of good. He delivers from the curse and brings us into sonship. That is our hope. Even those who had lived in sexual sin entered the kingdom not as continuing in that life, but having obeyed and believed and having been purified and converted. So there is a real and lasting cleansing for those who turn to Him.

Sexual desire, when it is not governed, is a strong and violent passion. Scripture links it with other works of lust such as fornication, uncleanness and covetousness, for avarice and sensuality spring from the same root. One way this passion keeps its hold is through its vehicles, such as flirting, filthy talk and jesting that seem small but carry the heart toward sin. Wisdom will lead you to cut off not only the act itself but the roads that lead to it. That means guarding your eyes from pornography, guarding your hands and your private habits, guarding your tongue and your humor and your conversations with the opposite sex, and removing sources and occasions that tempt you.

Learn this virtue step by step, as children learn letters. First learn one form, then another, and join them together until they are written upon the soul. Do not try to do everything at once and then despair. Practice continence, temperance, faithfulness in small things, prayer, fasting in its proper measure, and work given by God. Write these upon your heart one after another, and by grace they will hold together.

Do not be discouraged when God disciplines you. Scripture says God deals with us as sons, and if we are without discipline we would be as those without a father. His correction is a sign that you are His, and He permits struggle not to crush you but to teach you to despise sin and to love holiness, and to fix in your mind the hope of life to come. He does not only promise deliverance from punishment, He teaches us to stand above the danger through His power.

We pray now that the Lord will keep you, cleanse your heart, renew your mind by His Word, and make you wise to see temptation early and to turn from it quickly. We pray He will give you faithful fellowship, honest accountability, and a daily walk in the Spirit, and that He will keep sexual intimacy in its proper place as His gift within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. May He fill you with His Spirit so that you live not for the present only but for the life to come, and may your life show His glory.
