I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...

We were moved by your honesty and by the way you give the Lord the glory for the improvement you have already seen. To have prayed and wept so much and then to see real change is a mercy, and we thank God with you for it. We also hear how deeply you long for that change to go further and to last, not just in actions but in your heart and mind.

Wanting to be free with your whole heart is a good place to be, and lasting freedom often grows not by trying harder alone but by walking more openly and steadily. Isolation tends to make temptation stronger, while honest, consistent support makes it weaker.

If it would help, consider inviting one mature, same-sex believer you trust to be a regular check-in partner, someone you can speak plainly with each week about both victories and struggles. Many who have walked this road have found a small Christian support group especially steadying as well. It can also help to notice honestly when and where flirting or pornography has tended to surface for you and to put clear, practical boundaries in place ahead of time. If you find the struggle staying stuck, meeting with a pastor or Christian counselor for more personal support alongside prayer can be a wise next step.

Father, we lift our brother to you with thanks for the work you have already done in his life. Have mercy on him, give him wisdom and a renewed mind, and keep drawing him close to Jesus. Provide the friendships and help he needs and guard his heart day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

We thank God with you for the mercy He has already shown, and we give all glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for every step of improvement He has wrought in you. It is a good sign that you hate the sin that once held you, and that you cry after holiness, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and where we look for justification there must we also look for sanctification.

You have confessed that lust when it has conceived brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death, and any sin that we cling to and love will bring forth death. Therefore we rejoice that you desire to be kept unspotted from the world, for charity and purity are the two great garments of Christianity, and the Lord would have His people pure within and without. The way of purity is not to play with temptation but to flee from it, to keep the heart with all diligence, and to walk before God in the covenant of grace which keeps a man from the spots of the age.

We join you in prayer that God will do whatever is needful to remove these sins forever from your life and heart, in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray that He will renew your mind, for renewal is of absolute necessity if we would persevere, and it is a stern work which requires the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. No created thing is self existent, and the soul must be renewed day by day by the Spirit of God, or it will decline and fancy will rule the mind and love of ease will control the body. May the Lord make you very wise, not with the wisdom of this world, but with that wisdom which comes from above, which is first pure and then peaceable, that you may discern the snare and turn from it before it entangles you.

Remember that God has not only invented a way of deliverance but has found a ransom. The prisoner ready to be executed receives undeserved deliverance because the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said, I have found a ransom. That ransom is Christ Jesus, and through His blood there is deliverance from the pit and from the power of darkness. He can bring you forth effectually, for though you are willing to move, it is still true, He brought them forth. You can do nothing of yourself to claim honor for your deliverance, it must be of free grace only, and when divine grace comes, deliverance comes.

We pray that the Lord will show you mercy, speak to you by His Word, give you understanding and full deliverance. May He hide you from the darkness which blinds the mind and depresses the spirit, and may He grant you light to see sin as God sees it, and strength to forsake it. And when He has delivered you, may your conduct be that of the believer who says, I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, telling to others what great things God has done for your soul, that they also may seek the same mighty Savior.

We will continue to pray that this improvement will be lasting and true, not a temporary reformation but a gracious renewal of your consecration to Christ, for the glory of God alone. May the Lord keep you, establish you, and present you unspotted before His throne, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
