Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the progress the Lord has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and your acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as the source of all glory and mercy is a powerful testimony of His work in you. The battles you describe, pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual sin, are not unique, but they are deeply destructive, for they wage war against the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) and distort the sacred design of intimacy, which God ordained solely within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman.

The Scriptures are clear: "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). These sins are not merely personal struggles; they are offenses against God’s holiness and His plan for purity. Yet, we serve a God who is rich in mercy and mighty to save. Your desire for lasting change is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s conviction, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that He who began this good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

We must address the root of these sins, for they often stem from deeper issues, loneliness, idolatry of pleasure, or a misplaced search for fulfillment. Jesus warned, "The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness" (Matthew 6:22-23 WEB). What you allow your eyes to behold and your heart to dwell upon will shape your soul. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that whisper these sins are "harmless" or "unavoidable." They are neither. The Word declares, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).

You ask for God’s guidance to do "whatever it takes" to remove these sins forever. This is a bold and necessary prayer, but it must be coupled with action. True repentance is not merely sorrow over sin but a turning away from it. Here are steps the Lord may lead you to take:
1. Radical Accountability: Seek out a trusted, mature believer (preferably of the same gender) with whom you can confess your struggles and who will pray for you and hold you accountable. "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed" (James 5:16 WEB).
2. Guard Your Heart and Eyes: Install filters on your devices, avoid environments or media that tempt you, and fill your mind with Scripture. "I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you" (Psalm 119:11 WEB).
3. Starve the Flesh, Feed the Spirit: The apostle Paul wrote, "Walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh" (Galatians 5:16 WEB). Replace sinful habits with spiritual disciplines, prayer, fasting, worship, and service. The more you feast on God’s presence, the less you will crave sin.
4. Flee Temptation: Do not flirt with sin or entertain thoughts that lead to it. "Flee from sexual immorality!" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB) is a command, not a suggestion. If certain people or situations tempt you to sin, remove yourself from them.
5. Pursue God’s Design for Relationships: If you are not yet married, commit to courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer, conducted in purity and honor. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If you are married, let your spouse be your only source of intimacy, and cultivate a marriage that honors God.

We also encourage you to examine your heart for any idols. Often, sexual sin is a symptom of a deeper issue, perhaps a desire for control, comfort, or validation. Ask the Lord to reveal any areas where you have placed something or someone above Him. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it? I, Yahweh, search the mind. I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings" (Jeremiah 17:9-10 WEB). Surrender these idols to Christ and allow Him to fill the void they have left.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we can be saved and set free. We thank You for the work You have already done in [this brother/sister’s] life, for the tears shed in repentance, and for the hunger for holiness. Lord, we ask that You would complete the work You have begun. Break every chain of addiction, every stronghold of lust, and every lie of the enemy that says this sin is too powerful to overcome.

Father, we pray for a renewed mind, that [he/she] would be transformed by the renewing of [his/her] mind, so that [he/she] may prove what is Your good, acceptable, and perfect will (Romans 12:2). Fill [him/her] with Your Holy Spirit, that [he/she] may walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Give [him/her] wisdom to recognize temptation and the strength to flee from it. Surround [him/her] with godly accountability and fellowship, that [he/she] would not walk this path alone.

Lord, we ask for Your mercy and deliverance. Speak to [him/her] in the stillness of [his/her] heart, and let [him/her] hear Your voice clearly. Heal the wounds that may have led to these sins, and replace every lie with Your truth. Let [him/her] find [his/her] identity, worth, and fulfillment in You alone. We declare that no weapon formed against [him/her] will prosper, and every tongue that rises against [him/her] in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

We rebuke the spirit of lust and sexual immorality in the name of Jesus. We command every unclean thought, every addictive pattern, and every ungodly desire to leave [his/her] life now, never to return. We pray for a hedge of protection around [his/her] mind, heart, and eyes, that [he/she] would be kept from temptation and delivered from evil.

Father, we ask that You would prepare [him/her] for godly marriage, if that is Your will, or grant [him/her] contentment in singleness, that [he/she] may serve You without distraction. Let [his/her] relationships be pure, honorable, and pleasing to You. May [his/her] life bring glory to Your name and be a testimony of Your power to save.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen [him/her] daily, and let [him/her] run this race with endurance, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Continue to press into the Lord, dear one. The road to freedom is not always easy, but it is worth it. Every step you take in obedience is a step away from sin and toward the abundant life Christ died to give you. You are not defined by your past or your struggles; you are defined by the blood of Jesus and the righteousness He has given you. Stand firm in His grace, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep fighting the good fight of faith!

We were moved reading how much you have prayed and wept through this, and we thank God with you for the real improvement you are already seeing. That matters, and we give Him glory for it. At the same time we hear how deeply you long for lasting freedom, for a renewed mind and a heart kept far from these temptations.

One thing we have seen help many believers is not walking this alone. Isolation makes any struggle heavier, while having one or two trusted same-sex friends who know your story and can ask honest, caring questions each week can lift you when you stumble and help you stay steady. It also helps to do the hard work while you are strong, clearing away what pulls you back, whether that is certain images, apps, late night browsing, or conversations that drift toward flirting, and deciding ahead of time what you will do when temptation comes instead of deciding in the moment.

Change like this is often a slow walk more than a single moment, and God is patient as He forms new habits in you. If you can, a pastor or Christian counselor can walk with you for that longer road as well.

Father, we bring our brother before You, thanking You for the work You have already done. Have mercy, grant understanding and deliverance, and renew his mind day by day. Give him wisdom, faithful companions, and strength to turn quickly to You. Keep him close to Jesus and make his heart whole. In Jesus' name, amen.

We give thanks with you and rejoice to hear that the Lord Jesus Christ has already wrought a great improvement in your life. To Him be all the glory, for every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of Lights. That you have been kept from going further down, and have been shown mercy, is of His free grace alone, and we praise Him that He has kept back your soul from the Pit.

You ask for lasting and true deliverance, and for a renewed mind and wisdom to keep these sins far from you forever. This is a right and needful prayer, and we join our hearts with yours in it. Hear the gracious word of the Lord, Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom. Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it, but He has invented it and He has found the ransom in the precious blood of His own Son, who has borne the penalty of all our iniquities. God has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, for Christ has made this deliverance possible.

Remember also that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. When any man is saved from spiritual bondage, it is the Lord Jesus who loosens the captive, and unless a supernatural power is put forth, any form of deliverance is worth nothing. Therefore in order to your sanctification and your deliverance from the power of darkness, you must look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone. Cry to Him daily to preserve you from evil and to keep you unspotted from the world.

The Christian never expects to get any good from the world, but is to keep himself from the spots of the world. When you find that which would draw you toward uncleanness, whether it be images, or idle flirting, or evil company that is rather loose, leave it and get away from it. You do not need to be muddied. Flee those occasions of sin, and seek that purity which belongs to those who would walk with Christ. For the only hope we can have of eternal life is by being parted from sin, and we have from day to day to fight against it till it is utterly put away from us. The Lord Himself kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door, and what we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, to make us more holy and more like His Son.

We pray with you now that the Lord will be gracious unto you according to His promise. May He show you mercy, speak to your heart, give you understanding and full deliverance in the Name of Jesus Christ. May He work in you, renew your mind by His Spirit and by His Word, and make you very wise, so that you may hate sin and love holiness, and that these former sins will be forever far from you. May He teach you the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, so that you may say, He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and temptations shall tempt you in vain. May He keep you in that lifelong covenant of purity which He has ordained, where sex and love belong only within the marriage of one man and one woman, and may He give you strength to walk in that narrow way with a clean conscience.

Take courage. He who has begun a good work in you will perform it. He has delivered you in part, and He is able to deliver you wholly. Live to declare the works of the Lord, and give Him thanks that He has chastened you sorely but has not given you over unto death. Look to Christ, trust in His ransom, walk humbly and watchfully, and He will keep you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest tears and prayers before the Lord have not gone unheard, and we join you in giving all glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement He has already granted. To see progress after long struggle is itself a mercy from Him, and we praise Him with you for it.

Take courage from this, that the Lord receives those who turn to Him in truth. It was not as continuing in sin that harlots entered the kingdom, but having obeyed and believed and having been purified and converted, so they entered in. In the same way, every sin of lust, whether pornography, masturbation, fornication or uncleanness, can be washed away when we come to Christ with repentance and faith, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. He does not leave us as we were, but makes us new.

Yet as you have wisely asked, we need a lasting and true deliverance, not a passing relief. Purity is learned step by step, as a child learns letters. Divide virtue before you and practice it in order. Learn first to put away what feeds lust, then to cultivate what strengthens the soul. This means turning away from lust itself and from its vehicles, such as filthy talk and coarse jesting, which stir the passions, and also from gluttony, drunkenness, envy and sloth that make the soul soft and open to temptation. In their place, practice continence, temperance, righteousness, and a gentle and contrite mind, and write these upon your soul. Guard your eyes and your heart, remove whatever occasions draw you back, and be an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. God rests upon the one who is meek and quiet and trembles at His word, while pride makes the heart unclean before Him.

So we pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, that God will show you mercy, speak to you, and grant you full deliverance. We ask that He will renew your mind, make you very wise in His word, and guide you to do whatever it takes to put these sins forever far from your life and heart. May He establish you in holiness, keeping your body and spirit pure as befits those called to be temples of the Holy Spirit, and keep you walking in the way of purity that belongs to marriage, which is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, where alone sexual union has its God given place. May He keep you humble, watchful, and steadfast to the end, for His glory.

We will continue to pray with you. Keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in Scripture, flee from every appearance of evil, and trust not in your own strength but in the grace of Christ who is able to keep you from falling.

Your honesty and your tears before the Lord are precious to Him, and it is right to give all glory to Jesus Christ for the improvement you have already seen. He is the one who hears when you cry out, and He is the one who is able to bring lasting and true change for His glory.

What you are describing is a battle that Scripture speaks about very clearly. James tells us that conflicts and bondage come from lust warring within us, from wanting and seeking to satisfy our own desires. John tells us that all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not from the Father but from the world, and the world is passing away with its lusts. Friendship with that system is enmity with God. That is why this struggle feels so deep. It is not only a habit of behavior, it begins in the heart and in the mind.

Pornography and sexual fantasy work in that way. They are designed to inflame passion and they promise pleasure, but they actually enslave. Many have found it to be like a drug that takes hold of the mind and will not let go, and that pressure then pushes a person toward further sexual sin, toward flirting and impurity outside of God's design. What God designed for good and purity within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman becomes distorted into lust when it is taken outside of that covenant. Scripture says a man is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust and enticed, and lust when it is allowed to conceive brings forth sin.

You asked for prayer that God would help you do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever, to renew your mind and make you wise, to show you mercy and give you understanding and deliverance. That is exactly the right prayer, because the purpose of prayer is not to get God to fulfill our own desires so we can consume them on our lusts, but to seek His will and His deliverance. And He has given us exceeding great and precious promises in His Word so that by them we may partake of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust.

So let us pray together for that complete work. May the Lord wash your mind with His Word and renew it day by day, so that what you have sown into your mind in the past is replaced by what is pure and holy. Whatever a man sows that he will also reap, and as you now sow to the Spirit you will reap life and peace. May He give you wisdom to cut off every source and every access that feeds the lust of the eyes, to guard your heart and your eyes, and to flee temptation as Scripture commands. May He set you free from every fetter that has bound you, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed. May He make you pure even as Christ is pure, and keep you walking in holiness and righteousness.

Be encouraged that God who began this good work in you will be faithful to complete it as you continue to abide in Christ, to feed daily on Scripture, to bring your thoughts into obedience to Him, and to walk in honest fellowship with Him. He sees your crying and your praying, He is merciful, and He delights to give deliverance to those who seek Him with a whole heart. Continue to look to Jesus Christ alone for salvation and for strength, trusting not in your own resolve but in His power to keep you and to transform you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask for mercy and deliverance for this dear one. Renew the mind, grant wisdom and understanding, break every chain of pornography, masturbation, flirting and sexual sin, and keep this life far from those sins forever. Make the heart pure and steadfast, guard the eyes and the thoughts, and fill this life with Your love and Your Word, for Your glory. Amen.
