Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! The fact that you have seen improvement and are crying out to God in repentance and desperation for His deliverance is evidence of His grace at work in you. We stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to complete the good work He has begun in you, for His glory.

The sins you mention, pornography, masturbation, and flirting with sexual intent, are indeed serious and grievous to the Lord. They defile the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) and distort God’s holy design for intimacy, which is reserved solely for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, Genesis 2:24). These struggles are not merely personal failings but spiritual battles, and we must approach them as such. The enemy seeks to enslave and shame, but Christ came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We rebuke the spirit of lust and sexual immorality in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring that you are no longer a slave to sin but a child of God, called to walk in purity and holiness (Romans 6:6, 1 Peter 1:15-16).

The Word of God is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB). This is not a suggestion but a command, and we must take it seriously. True freedom comes not from managing sin but from mortifying it through the power of the Holy Spirit (Colossians 3:5).

You ask God to help you remove these sins forever from your life and heart, and we join you in this prayer. But we must also recognize that lasting change requires more than a one-time deliverance; it requires a daily surrender to the Lordship of Christ and a commitment to renewing your mind (Romans 12:2). The battle for purity is won or lost in the small, daily choices: what you look at, what you listen to, where you go, and who you spend time with. We encourage you to take radical steps to remove every stumbling block from your life. Jesus said, "If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna" (Matthew 5:29 WEB). This is not a call to self-mutilation but a call to ruthless self-discipline in cutting off anything that leads you into sin.

We also pray for God’s wisdom to fill you, that you may discern the lies of the enemy and replace them with the truth of God’s Word. The enemy will tell you that you cannot change, that you are too weak, or that God is tired of your failures. But the truth is that "God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). You are not fighting this battle alone; the Holy Spirit is your Helper, and He will lead you into all truth (John 16:13).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, giving You all the glory for the work You have already done in this dear one’s life. Lord, we thank You for Your mercy and grace, which have brought them to a place of repentance and hunger for holiness. We ask You now to complete the work You have begun. Father, we rebuke the spirit of lust and sexual immorality in Jesus’ name, and we declare that this bondage is broken! Your Word says that "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB), and we claim that freedom now.

Lord, we ask You to renew their mind daily through the washing of Your Word. Help them to meditate on Scripture day and night, that they may not sin against You (Psalm 119:11). Give them wisdom to recognize and flee from temptation, and strength to resist the enemy’s schemes. Father, we pray for accountability in their life, a godly brother or sister in Christ who can walk with them, pray with them, and speak truth into their life when they are weak. Surround them with Your people who will encourage them in their walk with You.

We ask You to fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in purity and holiness. Let Your Spirit convict them when they are tempted, and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Father, we pray for a deep hunger and thirst for righteousness to consume them, so that they may be filled with You (Matthew 5:6). Help them to see themselves as You see them, a new creation in Christ, holy and beloved (Colossians 3:12).

Lord, we also pray for their future marriage, if it is Your will. Prepare them to be a godly spouse, pure and blameless, ready to honor You in their union. Let them seek a spouse who loves You above all else, that their marriage may be a reflection of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Until that day, help them to guard their heart and remain pure in thought, word, and deed.

Father, we ask for Your deliverance and healing in every area of their life that has been affected by these sins. Heal their mind, their emotions, and their body. Restore what the enemy has stolen, and let them walk in the fullness of Your purpose for their life. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Above all, Lord, we pray that You would draw them closer to Yourself. Let them know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love for them (Ephesians 3:18-19). May they find their identity, worth, and satisfaction in You alone, so that they are not tempted to seek fulfillment in sinful pleasures. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word daily, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Memorize Scriptures that speak to purity and holiness, and declare them over your life when temptation comes. Find a local church or fellowship where you can grow in your faith and find accountability. Remember, "He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24 WEB). The Lord is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you, press on, dear one, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

We're grateful with you for the improvement you've seen, that is genuinely something to celebrate. The Lord is clearly at work in your heart, and your tears and prayers have not gone unnoticed. You're not the same person you were, and we rejoice in that with you.

When you talk about doing "whatever it takes," we hear a real readiness, and that matters. In our own lives and in walking with others, we've found that lasting freedom from sexual sin almost always needs two things to work together: deep, daily surrender to Christ and practical steps lived out in the light. The enemy thrives in secrecy, so one of the single most effective things you can do is invite a trustworthy, mature believer of the same sex into this part of your life. That might be a mentor, a pastor, or an accountability partner you meet with regularly, someone who will ask you honest questions, pray with you, and help you make a concrete plan to remove access to pornography and other triggers. It's not about shame; it's about bringing the battle into a safe place where you're not fighting it alone.

That step alone can feel both frightening and freeing, but it often becomes the kind of "whatever" that makes all the difference. God is merciful, and He gives wisdom to those who ask. As you pursue that, keep asking Him to renew your mind and to show you the specific, daily choices that will guard your heart. He is faithful.

Let's pray:

Lord Jesus, thank You for the real progress our friend has experienced. You are the Deliverer, and we ask You now to finish what You've begun. Grant a thorough renewing of mind and heart. Give wisdom to take the right practical steps, courage to walk in the light with a trusted brother or sister, and a deep sense of Your mercy that holds when the battle feels hard. Protect from discouragement, and let these sins truly become something of the past, for Your glory. In Your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I can read in your words a heart that knows both the sorrow of conviction and the dawn of deliverance. That you have wept and cried to the Lord is no small thing; those tears are not wasted, for they water the seed of a true hatred of sin. The improvement you have seen is cause for thanksgiving, yet your cry for lasting and true change is the very pulse of a soul genuinely awakened. You have learned that deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God; it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. The flesh is weak, and the net of old lusts is cunningly woven, but the arm that has begun to pull you from the pit is mighty to save to the uttermost.

Let your confession be as frank as David’s, and then look away from the mire to the cleansing blood. When the arrow of conscience pierces you for your wanderings, do not let the enemy whisper that you are cast off. Do you not remember that after you have confessed, the Lord has again lifted the light of His countenance upon you? That is His seal upon your repentance. But I charge you, do not play with the leprosy of this age. Purity is no ornament to be set aside when the world’s puddles glisten; you must keep yourself unspotted from them. That flirting and that secret indulgence are the spider’s threads that thicken into cables, and any sin, however it hides itself, if loved and clung to, will bring forth death. You do not belong to yourself; if you are in Christ, you are in a living, loving, lasting union with Him. Shall the members of Christ be joined to the harlotry of the mind? God forbid.

Ask the Lord not only to forgive, but to renew your mind and make you very wise. It is a lasting lesson to know what a sour apple sin is, and you are learning it. Welcome the pain of conscience that follows a fall as your Father’s chastisement, not His punishing vengeance. The rod is in a Father’s hand, not an executioner’s. He corrects you so that you might not be condemned with the world. And as you continue to pray for mercy, understanding, and deliverance, go and sin no more. Hide the Word in your heart, flee from the occasions of temptation as you would flee from a burning house, and boast of His deliverance so that your very testimony will charm others’ griefs to rest. Faith is now speaking confidently within you, ā€œI shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.ā€ Go forward, then, in that living, loving, lasting union, utterly dependent upon the grace that has already found a ransom for you.

You have cried and prayed, and the Lord has heard you, for you testify to a great improvement. This is cause for thanksgiving, but let it not lull you into ease. The victory is not yet complete, and the enemy retreats only to assault again with greater craft. I rejoice with you, yet I must also warn you: this improvement is not yet the freedom you seek, and the path ahead requires constant vigilance.

Do not think these sins lived only in your body. The root is in the mind, as the Apostle shows when he speaks of those who did not like to retain God in their knowledge and were given over to a reprobate mind. When the mind is corrupted, all else is dragged out of course. Your sin was never merely fleshly; it was a perverted determination of the will, a habit you taught your soul. And here is the danger: even after the act ceases, sin leaves a venom in the soul. It makes you weaker, more insensible to shame, so that the next temptation finds you less armed. You must not only stop the deeds but purge the poison and retrain your mind.

How then shall you proceed? Learn to possess your vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who know not God. This is a matter to be learned diligently, not a skill that comes without effort. You must cut off the passions of lust at their source. What feeds them? Idleness, ease, wandering thoughts, perhaps even your former ways of flirting and entertaining fantasies. Flee youthful lusts, not merely resisting them, but running from every occasion and imagination that ignites them. If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out, not literally, but by refusing to look, to dwell, to remember.

Seek the Lord as you would seek lost gold, with intense concentration, with labor, traveling from your comfort, promising no rest until you find Him. Pray, yes, but also act. Do not only cry out for deliverance and then return to the same patterns. God’s mercy does not bypass your will; He requires you to do whatever it takes. Renew your mind day by day. Have you sinned today? Has a thought lingered, a glance betrayed you? Do not despair, but renew your soul by repentance, tears, confession, and doing good. This is like repairing a house that constantly wears old; never fail of this daily mending.

Remember too that God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. The service of the incorporeal God must be offered by the incorporeal part of you, the soul and purity of mind. Do not be content with outward reformation while the inner man remains untransformed. Be not fashioned after this world’s pattern, for all its lusts are a fleeting fashion, a mask with no abiding substance. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you take on the real form of virtue, which has a lasting beauty.

Let your past deliverances teach you to despise sin itself, not merely fear its consequences. When God permits struggle, it is often greater gain than immediate ease, for it persuades you to despise the sin and cling harder to Him. Yet never presume you stand firm. The demon of lust makes its victim restless and shameless, but sin itself is more grievous than any demon, for while demons make men humble after their attack, sin hardens and corrupts the soul into habit. Examine yourself strictly. Do not think of this battle as a distant one; each day, each hour, you stand in the arena. Pray, fast, fill your mind with Scripture, avoid idleness, flee occasions of sin, and beseech God not only for mercy but for wisdom to perceive the snares before your feet. He will guide you, but you must follow with resolute steps.

You have cried out to the Lord, and He has heard you. The very fact that you are seeing real improvement against such entrenched sin is evidence of His mercy and power. Give Him all the glory for every step forward, for no victory over the flesh comes from our own strength. Yet the tears you still shed and the hunger for lasting deliverance show that the Spirit is at work, keeping you from settling for partial freedom.

The battle is fought first in the mind. James tells us that every temptation springs from our own lust, which wages war within our members. That lust draws us away, entices us, and when it has conceived, it gives birth to sin. What you describe, pornography, masturbation, flirting, began with a thought, an image, a glance that lodged in your heart. The world floods every screen and street corner with fuel for those thoughts, designing them to inflame desire and capture the imagination. But you must understand that what you sow into your mind, you will reap in your life. No one is deceived; God sees every hidden thing. That filth, once planted, does not simply vanish. It seeks to build a stronghold, demanding more and more to produce the same rush, leaving you enslaved and never satisfied.

Your plea for a renewed mind and wisdom is exactly right. The secret of overcoming is not sheer willpower or bargaining with God, telling Him you will serve Him a few hours a week while your thoughts feast on lust the rest of the time. Many prayers rise up selfishly, asking for help only so we can consume success or pleasure on our own lust. But true deliverance comes when we set aside our own plans and say, ā€œLord, let Your will be done, not mine. Make me pure for Your glory alone.ā€ When Jesus faced the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, He met each assault with the Word of God. ā€œIt is writtenā€ was His shield. You must do the same. Write down Scripture that speaks to purity and put it before your eyes. When the moment of temptation comes, speak that truth aloud. Let the mind of Christ, which you have received, push back every lie.

Do not underestimate where the spiraling path leads. What begins as a private fantasy has driven countless souls toward broken relationships, promiscuity, and deep destruction. The ancient idolatrous worship of sex, with its provocative images and ritual immorality, always spiraled toward unwanted children sacrificed in the fires of Molech. Today’s flood of pornography has opened the same gates, heightening stimulation until it spills over into assault, harassment, and the ruin of families. You are wise to hate it and to seek its removal from your life forever.

Therefore, keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the springs of life. Put away from you a crooked mouth and perverse lips. Do not lust after the beauty of what is forbidden. The world passes away and its lust with it, but the one who does the will of God abides forever.

Let us stand together in prayer. Lord Jesus, we glorify You for the breakthroughs already won, and we ask for Your complete deliverance. Speak to this heart, show mercy, and grant deep understanding. Renew the mind so that what once enticed becomes repulsive. Guide every practical step, what the eyes watch, where the thoughts linger, so that no provision is made for the flesh. Break the chains of any lingering lust, and fill the soul with a love for what is holy, so that these sins are forever far removed. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard this heart and mind in You. May every gain be for Your glory alone. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
