Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony of His grace at work within you. The battle against sexual sin, pornography, masturbation, and flirtation, is not easy, but we stand with you in faith, knowing that our God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

First, we must address the seriousness of these sins with biblical clarity. Sexual immorality, including lust, pornography, and inappropriate relationships, is a grievous offense against God because it defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Flirtation with the opposite sex outside the bounds of godly marriage can easily lead to temptation and sin, as Scripture warns: "But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28). Masturbation, while not explicitly named in Scripture, is often tied to lustful thoughts and self-gratification, which do not align with the self-control and purity God calls us to (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).

Yet, we serve a God of mercy and deliverance! Your cry for help has not gone unnoticed. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is able to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9) and renew your mind so that you no longer conform to the patterns of this world (Romans 12:2). The blood of Jesus Christ has already paid the price for your sins, past, present, and future, and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We must also emphasize the importance of accountability and practical steps in this battle. Flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) by removing stumbling blocks from your life, whether it be ungodly media, unhealthy relationships, or unchecked solitude. Seek out godly brothers or sisters in Christ who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. "Two are better than one... for if they fall, one will lift up his fellow" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). Consider installing filters or accountability software on your devices, and fill your mind with Scripture and godly content instead of the empty distractions of this world.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, giving You all the glory for the work You have already done in this beloved brother’s life. Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the hunger in his heart to walk in purity and holiness. We ask that You would complete the work You have begun in him. Father, we rebuke every spirit of lust, addiction, and temptation in the name of Jesus. We declare that these sins no longer have dominion over him, for he is not under law but under grace (Romans 6:14).

Lord, renew his mind daily with Your Word. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he may walk in self-control, wisdom, and discernment. Give him the strength to flee from temptation and the courage to seek accountability and support from godly believers. Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds or emptiness in his heart that the enemy has tried to exploit. Replace every lie with Your truth, every craving with Your peace, and every moment of weakness with Your strength.

We pray for lasting deliverance, Lord. Break every chain of bondage and set him free to walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for him (Galatians 5:1). Surround him with Your angels and fill his heart with Your presence so that he may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Father, we also ask that You would prepare him for godly marriage if that is Your will for his life. Let him be a man after Your own heart, blameless in Your sight, and a testimony of Your transforming power.

We thank You, Lord, for Your mercy and grace. We trust in Your promise that "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6). May this brother grow in holiness, intimacy with You, and joy in Your presence. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Continue to press into the Lord, dear brother. The road to lasting victory is not always easy, but it is worth it. Every time you choose righteousness over sin, you are strengthening your spiritual muscles and drawing closer to the heart of God. Remember, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). You are not alone in this battle, God is with you, and so are we. Keep fighting the good fight of faith!

We rejoice with you at the genuine improvement you’ve seen, it’s something to thank God for, and we do. Your tears and prayers tell us how deeply you want to honour Him, and that hunger itself is a gift. We understand the ache of longing for change that goes all the way to the root, not just managing surface behaviour.

The shift from ā€œI cried outā€ to ā€œhelp me do whatever it takesā€ is a wise one. Often, God answers that prayer by giving us not only renewed mind and inner deliverance but also something very earthy: other people. Right after the most honest cry of your heart, consider one concrete step, finding a trustworthy, same‑sex brother or sister in Christ who can walk this road with you in regular, face‑to‑face accountability. Secrecy thrives alone; healing tends to grow best when another person knows the battle and offers no judgment, only steady, prayer‑backed support.

This isn’t to suggest the battle is simply about willpower. God does work to renew your mind and put these sins far from you. But His work often includes our willingness to stop hiding, to admit where we’re still vulnerable, and to let someone safe speak into our blind spots. If that feels too hard right now, even a small step like joining a recovery‑oriented group at your church or a Christian 12‑step fellowship could keep momentum going.

We thank you, Father, for the victory already won in this brother’s life. Thank you for a heart that longs to be clean for your glory. Strengthen him now; let your mercy hold him when the pull returns. Give him wisdom to recognise triggers early, courage to enlist a trusted friend, and a genuine surrender that outlasts every temptation. Let your peace guard his mind, and let hope replace shame. We trust you to finish what you’ve started, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

The sense of improvement for which you give God the glory is cause for true gratitude, yet the cry for lasting deliverance reveals the Spirit’s work within you. Whatever your strength may be, if it is your own, it will one day fail you. The sin that dwells in us drags us down, and however high we have ascended for a season, we still need that the blood of Christ should cleanse us from all sin. Your tears and prayers are not wasted; they are the groans of a soul that has begun to hate what God hates.

When lust has conceived, it brings forth sin, and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death. That is the pedigree of sin, it is born of lust, and it brings forth dust. Any sin, whatever it is, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death, rest assured of that. Your fleeing from it, therefore, is the path of life. But do not imagine that the victory lies in your own resolve alone. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where you look for justification, there must you also look for sanctification.

You have wept and cried to the Lord. Is His ear shut? Has He forgotten to be gracious? There may come times when the adversary whispers that God will never move His arm to work deliverance for you. That arrow is very often shot. But remember the experience of those who cried out and found Him faithful. You are brought to the brook of your own weakness, full of fear and trembling, that you might learn this: He feels that if he ever rises from his despondency, he can never dare to take an atom of the honor of deliverance to himself, it must be of Free Grace only. He can do nothing and he knows it.

Ask the Lord, therefore, that you may undertake this fresh battle with more expectancy, more confidence, more faith, more God-reliance. In renewing your strength, pray that this work may be done to a nobler tune. It is not for you to choose the manner of your deliverance, nor to dictate how quickly the remnants of these sins shall be put far from you. If your burden does not fit your shoulder, bear it till it does. Time will reconcile you to the yoke if Grace abides with you. The chastening is sore, but it is the Lord who chastens.

And what is the design of this prolonged conflict? That you might live and declare the works of the Lord. If you had no troubles, you would have less to declare. The deliverance you seek, when fully given, will be as noteworthy as that of the prisoner who receives undeserved deliverance from all punishment, for the King’s own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. You shall not die, but live, and the memory of this deliverance shall not be forgotten. Go forward, then, looking to Him who alone can make your deliverance effectual and in every deed bring you forth, for He has said it: ā€œI have found a ransom.ā€

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Rejoice with trembling, for you have seen the Lord stretch forth His hand to pull you from the mire. Give thanks indeed, but do not imagine the battle is over because the foe retreats for a moment. The sin that once held you captive does not easily relinquish its prey; it lurks, ready to spring again if the mind relaxes its guard. I have seen many who, after a season of weeping and amendment, grew careless and were dragged back into deeper defilement. Therefore, watch and pray without ceasing.

Consider what the Apostle says about the old man and the new. The old man is corrupted by deceitful lusts, but you are called to be renewed in the spirit of your mind. That renewal is not a single washing but a daily transformation, as the mind is cleansed by the Word of God and fortified by the Spirit. When the unclean thoughts assail, do not entertain them even for a moment. Pluck out the eye of curiosity, cut off the hand of idle custom. Flee from the glance that kindles desire, from the company that fans the flame. You have tasted the bitterness of slavery; now press on toward the freedom wherewith Christ makes free indeed.

Yet do not imagine that the flesh itself is the root of evil. The body is God’s creation; the disease is sin, a tyrant that usurps the members and wages war against the law of the mind. That is why you feel such conflict, as if two men dwell within you, one consenting to the law of God, the other dragged toward the law of sin. But take courage: the very pain of this struggle shows that the Spirit has not abandoned you. The dead feel no strife. It is the living soul that groans for deliverance, and that groaning is a prayer that reaches to heaven.

Seek the Lord as one seeks hidden treasure. Do not be content with a few tears and a passing relief. Rise in the night, stretch out your hands, cry from the depths, and do not let Him go until He bless you with a clean heart and a steadfast spirit. Then, when the temptation returns, as it surely will, meet it not with your own strength but with the name of Jesus Christ, which scatters the powers of darkness. Speak it aloud, sign your mind with the cross, remember that you are a temple of the Holy Spirit, purchased at a price no less than the blood of God.

Remain also within the shelter of the Church, partaking often of the holy mysteries with a conscience purified by confession. Let no secret sin fester; lay it open before God and those appointed to watch for your soul. The enemy thrives in darkness; drag him into the light, and he flees. Then you will learn what it is to be a true eunuch for the kingdom of heaven’s sake, not in body, but in the pure, wakeful, fearless mind that keeps itself only for the Bridegroom.

I will join my prayers to yours, that the God of love and peace will perfect what He has begun in you, that He will show you the path of lasting freedom and give you wisdom to avoid every occasion of falling. But you must also do whatever it takes, as you have vowed. Tear out the root, not just the leaves. If your eye causes you to stumble, be ruthless with it. Better to enter eternal life maimed in earthly comforts than to be cast whole into the fire. The Kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. So press on, looking not backward at the city of destruction, but forward to the prize of the upward call, until you can say with the Apostle: I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.

Your tears and prayers have not gone unnoticed. There is real cause for thanksgiving when the grip of these sins loosens, and it is right to give glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for every step of freedom you have tasted. But you know there is still a struggle, and that struggle flows straight from the war described in Scripture: the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. The mind is the battlefield, and the enemy works hard to captivate it, just think how aggressively pornography and lust are pushed into every corner of life today. Yet you also have the mind of Christ, given to you by the Spirit, and that is the power by which the fight is won.

Do not be surprised that the old desires still tug. Paul cried out, ā€œO wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?ā€ He knew the torment of a will that wants to obey but a flesh that wars against the law of his mind. The answer is not trying harder in your own strength, but yielding to the One who has already broken the chains. When you count yourself dead to sin through Christ, truly dead, you are freed. A dead man cannot be tempted by the images around him. That is not a formula; it is a reality the Spirit makes true in you as you set your heart on the things above and stop feeding the mind of the flesh.

The nature of pornography is a creeping, progressive trap. It promises satisfaction but demands more and more, pulling a person deeper into captivity. That is why you must guard your heart with all diligence. Whatever you allow into your mind stays there, so fill it instead with the Word of God, with prayer, with what is pure. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard against him. That standard is the finished work of Jesus Christ, who redeems and delivers all who turn from transgression.

I join you in prayer now. Lord, You see the cry of this one who wants lasting freedom. In the name of Jesus Christ, renew their mind. Wash away the filth with Your Word and break the power of every remembered image and desire. Grant them wisdom to flee temptation and to do whatever it takes to remove these sins. Show mercy, speak deep into their spirit, and give them understanding that they are forever united to Christ in His death and resurrection. May the mind of the Spirit rule them, so that sin becomes foreign and righteousness feels like home. You are the Redeemer who comes to those who turn from evil. Come, Lord Jesus, and let deliverance flow. Amen.
