Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We rejoice with you in the progress the Lord has already brought into your life, breaking the chains of pornography, masturbation, and sexual sin. Your heartfelt cries and prayers have not gone unnoticed, and we stand with you in giving all glory to Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to deliver and transform. The battle you describe is real, and the enemy would love nothing more than to keep you bound in shame and secrecy, but we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

The sins you mention, pornography, masturbation, and flirting outside the bounds of godly marriage, are not merely personal struggles but offenses against God’s holy design for sexuality. The Bible is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). These words are not meant to condemn but to call you higher, to remind you that your body and desires belong to the Lord, who redeemed you at great cost.

We must also address the flirting you mentioned, as it can often be a gateway to deeper temptation. Proverbs 4:23 warns, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." Flirting, even if it seems harmless, can stir up desires that lead to sin. If you are not married, we encourage you to pursue relationships with the opposite sex in a way that honors God, with purity, intentionality, and the goal of marriage to a fellow believer. "But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity... because these are improper for God’s holy people" (Ephesians 5:3). Let your interactions be marked by holiness, not by the fleeting thrill of attention.

Your desire for lasting change is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s work in you. We pray that God will continue to renew your mind, as Romans 12:2 commands: "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." This transformation is not a one-time event but a daily surrender to the Lord. Flee from temptation the moment it arises, as Joseph did when Potiphar’s wife sought to entice him (Genesis 39:12). Fill your mind with Scripture, meditate on God’s Word, and replace ungodly thoughts with truth. Psalm 119:9-11 says, "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; don’t let me stray from your commandments. I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."

We also encourage you to seek accountability. Proverbs 27:17 tells us, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance." Find a trusted, mature believer, someone of the same sex, with whom you can be honest about your struggles. Confess your sins to one another, pray for one another, and bear each other’s burdens (James 5:16). The enemy thrives in darkness, but light exposes and dismantles his schemes. Do not isolate yourself; walk in the freedom that comes from transparency and community.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who broke the power of sin and death. We thank You for the work You have already done in this dear one’s life, and we ask that You would complete it. Lord, we pray for lasting deliverance from the sins of pornography, masturbation, and any form of sexual immorality. Cleanse their heart, mind, and body by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Renew their thoughts, Lord, and align them with Your truth. Give them wisdom to recognize temptation and the strength to flee from it. Surround them with godly accountability and fill their life with Your presence, so that they are not left vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks.

Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds or lies that have contributed to these struggles. Replace shame with Your love, guilt with Your grace, and bondage with Your freedom. Speak to them, Lord, in the stillness of their heart, and let them hear Your voice clearly. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a passion for prayer. May they find their satisfaction in You alone, for You are the only One who can truly fulfill the deepest longings of their heart.

We also pray for their future marriage, Lord. If it is Your will for them to be married, prepare them now to be a godly spouse. Teach them to love and honor their future husband or wife with purity and devotion, reflecting the love Christ has for His church. Guard their heart from any relationships that do not align with Your design, and lead them to a spouse who shares their faith and commitment to You.

Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s lies in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against this one will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every chain of addiction, shame, and sin, and we proclaim freedom in the name of Jesus. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, so that they may walk in victory every day. May their life bring glory to You alone, and may others see Your transforming power at work in them.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer. Amen.

Continue to press into the Lord, dear one. The road to freedom is not always easy, but it is worth it. Every time you choose righteousness over sin, you are building a legacy of holiness that honors God and strengthens your spirit. You are not defined by your past struggles but by the One who has set you free. "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). Walk in that freedom today, and never look back.

We rejoice with you in the improvement you’ve seen, truly, every step toward freedom is a gift from the Lord Jesus, and we give Him thanks with you. We also hear the deep longing behind your words: you’ve wept, you’ve prayed, and you hunger for lasting purity not just for yourself but for God’s glory. That desire itself is evidence of His work in you.

When a struggle has held us for a long time, we sometimes expect deliverance to come in one sweeping moment. Often, though, freedom arrives as a steady walk of small, daily choices, rewiring our habits, turning from temptation moment by moment, and learning to run to Jesus instead of to fantasy or flirtation. None of that means you lack faith; it means you’re fighting a real battle in a body and mind that need constant grace.

So alongside your prayers, we encourage you to let God use practical helps. You asked Him for wisdom to do ā€œwhatever it takes.ā€ That might mean finding a mature, same-gender brother in Christ you can call when temptation presses in, someone who won’t shame you but will pray and remind you of the truth. It might mean installing filtering software on your devices, avoiding certain places or situations, or even seeking a Christian counselor who understands sexual struggles and can help you address deeper emotional roots. Concrete steps like these are not a lack of trust; they’re part of putting your whole life under Christ’s lordship.

Be gentle with yourself in the process. Jesus does not turn away those who cry out to Him; He sees your tears and is patient with your progress. Keep bringing your heart honestly before Him, and when you stumble, let conviction draw you to His mercy, not into hiding.

Let’s pray:

Lord Jesus, thank You for the victory already won in this brother’s life. Strengthen him now for the next part of the journey. Renew his mind deeply, so that lust no longer holds him. Give him wise, practical strategies and faithful companions for the road. Guard his eyes, his thoughts, and his heart. Let purity take root so firmly that he walks in lasting freedom, for Your glory. In Your mighty name, Amen.

The tears you have shed are not unknown to Him who gave His Son as a ransom. That great improvement of which you speak bears the mark of divine grace, for deliverance from the pit is always undeserved. Yet you long for more, and rightly so, for the power of darkness is not broken by half measures. Deliverance from the guilt of sin is as much God's work as deliverance from its grip, and you must look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone for this lasting victory. Cry to Him still, for He has said, "Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom." That same voice which spares you from hell will surely speak peace to your turbulent heart and give you strength to overcome the enticements that remain.

But mind this: holiness is never mere propriety. It is not enough to keep away from the open act if the heart secretly savors the sin. If the eye is turned from the outward temptation while the imagination feeds on its sweetness, the soul is still spotted by the world. The Lord chastened you sorely that you might learn to hate the sin itself, not merely to fear its consequences. Every sharp smart comes from a Father’s hand, and it is a profitable school to teach you that without holiness, practical, personal, vital, no one shall see the Lord. You must follow after it relentlessly, crying to God to preserve you from the infection that spreads so easily through your members.

Rest in this: He who has begun to renew your mind will not stop halfway. The fear He plants within the heart is a covenant promise that ā€œthey shall not depart from me.ā€ True grace works a lasting change. Your present struggle is not a sign that you are cast off, but that the Spirit is purging the disease. The battle against indwelling sin will not end until you are taken home, but your cries have been heard. The mercy you seek is already yours in Christ, and His wisdom will guide you step by step. Keep from the company and the glances that inflame lust; but above all, keep close to the Redeemer, for He is your hiding place, and He will compass you about with songs of deliverance.

Therefore, be not cast down by the remaining conflict. The same God who delivered you from the archers of former doubt will shield you from the poisoned arrows of despair. When Satan suggests a back door of escape through some compromise, remember that the Lord has not called you to uncleanness but to holiness. That improvement you have seen is a pledge of full victory. So rise from your weeping and go forth, not to die, but to live and declare the works of the Lord. Let your prayer be bold: ā€œLord, do whatever is necessary to sever me forever from these sins, for You have found a ransom, and I shall not die but live, and proclaim Your delivering power.ā€

Your tears have not fallen unheard, and the improvement you see is indeed from the Lord Jesus Christ, to whom you rightly give glory. But let us not grow slack, for the enemy does not sleep. You have tasted of the heavenly gift and been made a partaker of the Holy Spirit; therefore this relapse, this clinging to the old filth, is not a light matter. You ask that God remove these sins forever from your heart. Yet God will not do this without your own striving. The grace of renewal is given, but you must also take up arms. How can a man be freed from the tyranny of lust? Not by weeping alone, but by a total war against its occasions. Pluck out the eye that offends, cut off the glances, the idle talk, the solitary moments that kindle the flame. Fill your mind with the remembrance of hell and the kingdom of heaven. When the thought assails you, say to yourself: ā€œShall I, who have been washed and fed with the Body of the Lord, defile this temple for a fleeting pleasure?ā€ The righteous Joseph feared to offend God, even when no human eye saw him; such fear is a blessed chain.

You ask for a renewal of mind. That renewal is the work of the Spirit, but it requires on your part a relentless discipline. Become a king over your unruly thoughts. Those thoughts are sharper than any spear; yet if you rule them, you wear a diadem more glorious than any earthly monarch. When the temptation comes, do not parley with it, but strike it down at once with prayer. Cry out, ā€œLord, help me!ā€ even as you have cried with tears. But also add fasting and almsgiving to your prayer. Alms quench the fire of sin, and fasting weakens the body’s rebellion. A contrite heart God will not despise. And do not trust in your own strength because you have seen a little progress; pride goes before a fall. Walk in humility, and be of the same mind with those who live in peace, for strife and self-will often open the door to these secret sins.

Above all, do not imagine that a single prayer or a season of weeping is sufficient. God has given us medicines of repentance: compunction, confession, the memory of death, contempt of worldly delights. Use them daily. You have been granted a taste of deliverance; do not through negligence crucify the Son of God afresh. It is impossible to renew again unto repentance those who have once been enlightened and then fall away, not because repentance is denied, but because the laver of regeneration cannot be repeated. Yet for those who struggle and fall and rise again, there is mercy, but only through a lifelong, painful warfare. Let your tears water the seed of amendment, and do whatever it takes, yes, even if it means severing a right hand, to enter the kingdom. The time is now, while the mind is sound and the day of grace is here. Do not put it off. Rise up, wash, and be cleansed; and then watch every step, lest defilement return. The Lord is ready to help those who fight, not those who merely sigh and sleep.

Your tears have not fallen unseen, and the ground you have gained is real. Rejoicing in Christ for that is exactly right, every step away from darkness is a gift from Him. The grief you feel over the remaining struggle actually shows a heart that genuinely wants to please God, and that desire itself is evidence of His Spirit at work within you.

The battle you describe is not primarily about behavior. It starts much deeper, in the mind and the heart. Lust does not leap from nowhere; it is drawn out by thoughts that are allowed to linger. James tells us that each person is tempted when they are lured and enticed by their own desire, and when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin. This is why simply trying harder in the flesh leads to exhaustion. You end up doing the very things you hate, and that cycle can make you feel trapped. But the good news is that there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. With your mind you can serve the law of God, even while your flesh still puts up a fight. God sees that sincere inward commitment.

Lasting victory comes not from gritting your teeth, but from learning to walk in the Spirit so that you do not fulfill the lust of the flesh. The Spirit renews your mind, teaching you to cut off temptation at the first movement. When a thought or image presents itself, that is the moment to refuse it, not negotiate with it. Pornography and flirting often start as seemingly small cracks in the door: a glance, a memory, a feeling of boredom or loneliness. Be ruthless in closing those cracks. Ask God for the wisdom to recognize them early and the will to turn away immediately. As you do, you are not just avoiding sin; you are actively turning toward Christ and finding your satisfaction in Him.

It may help to remember that the enemy wants to blind you through unbridled lust, making you forget the realities of God. You have probably felt that blindness at times, the haze that settles over your mind after giving in. But Jesus made an open display of victory over every dark power at the cross. Your part is to stay in that position in Christ, rejoicing in His triumph even when you feel weak. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world. When depression or accusation comes, you can lift your voice in praise anyway, trusting that the victory is already yours in Him. Joy in the Lord is your strength.

I am joining you in prayer for mercy, understanding, and full deliverance. But let that deliverance be defined by God, not by a life free of all temptation. The victory in Scripture is often not that the beast was destroyed by the saints, but that the saints were not destroyed by the beast. They overcame by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. So will you. Do not be surprised if God allows you to feel your own utter helplessness at times, He does that so that when freedom comes, you will give the glory entirely to Him. Your tears and desperate prayers are not a sign of failure; they are the doorway through which His power enters.

Be honest about any hidden motives that can sneak into even your spiritual disciplines. Sometimes we imagine that if we pray long enough or cry hard enough, we can earn deliverance. But God’s grace cannot be earned. He blesses you because He loves you, and He wants you to trust Him, not your own effort. So come freely, without pretense. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who humbled Himself completely. He will finish the work He has begun in you, and you will say from your heart, ā€œTo God be the glory for the things He has done.ā€

We are so encouraged to hear of the great improvement the Lord has already brought into your life—what a powerful testimony of His grace and mercy! Thank you for sharing your heart with us and allowing us to stand with you in prayer as you seek lasting victory over these struggles. We have continued to lift you before the throne of God, asking Him to complete the work He has begun in you.

We rejoice in the progress you’ve seen, but we also understand the battle for purity and holiness is ongoing. We will keep praying that God’s will be done in your life, that He would guide you with His wisdom, renew your mind, and fortify your heart against temptation. May He grant you deep understanding, unwavering strength, and full deliverance from every chain that seeks to entangle you. We ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with His power, that you may walk in true freedom and bring glory to God in every area of your life.

If you’ve seen further breakthroughs since your post, we would love to hear how God is moving—your praise report could be an encouragement to others walking a similar path. If the battle still feels heavy, we invite you to share again so we can continue interceding on your behalf. Either way, we stand with you, trusting that the Lord is faithful to answer the cries of His children.

May you feel His presence surrounding you, His peace guarding your heart, and His strength upholding you each day. Keep pressing into Him, for He is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.
