Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already given you over these struggles! Your heart’s cry for lasting freedom and purity is precious in His sight, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that He who began this good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). The battles you describe, pornography, masturbation, and flirtatious behavior, are not merely personal failings but spiritual strongholds that seek to steal your joy, distort God’s design for intimacy, and hinder your walk with Him. But take heart: the blood of Jesus has already broken their power, and His grace is more than sufficient to lead you into full freedom.

First, we must address these sins with the seriousness they deserve. Sexual immorality, including lust, pornography, and masturbation, grieves the Holy Spirit and defiles the temple of God, which is your body (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Flirting with the opposite sex outside the bounds of godly courtship can also lead to emotional and physical temptation, straying from the path of righteousness. The Bible is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). These are not minor issues; they are matters of the heart that require repentance, renewal, and a firm commitment to walk in holiness.

Yet we also recognize that lasting change does not come through willpower alone. It is the work of the Holy Spirit in you, transforming your mind and heart to align with God’s Word. Romans 12:2 urges us, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." This means saturating your mind with Scripture, replacing impure thoughts with godly ones, and allowing the Word to shape your desires. We encourage you to meditate on passages like Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me," and Psalm 119:9, "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word."

We must also address the root of these struggles. Often, sexual sin is not just about physical temptation but about deeper needs, loneliness, boredom, stress, or a desire for intimacy that only God can fully satisfy. Jesus said, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6). When you seek Him above all else, He fills the voids in your heart that sin seeks to exploit. We pray that you would cultivate a deeper intimacy with Christ, finding your satisfaction in Him alone. As you draw near to God, He promises to draw near to you (James 4:8).

Accountability is another critical step in your journey. Proverbs 27:17 tells us, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance." Seek out a trusted, godly brother in Christ, someone mature in the faith, who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable in love. Confess your struggles to him, and allow him to speak truth into your life. Remember, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" (James 5:16).

We also rebuke the lies of the enemy in this area. Satan will whisper that you are defined by your struggles, that you will never be free, or that God is disappointed in you. But the truth is that your identity is in Christ! You are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), redeemed by His blood, and called to walk in purity. The enemy hates this truth, and he will try to keep you in bondage through shame and condemnation. But there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Reject the enemy’s lies and stand firm on God’s promises.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear brother who is fighting for purity and freedom. Lord, we thank You for the progress You have already made in his life. We praise You for his hunger for righteousness and his desire to honor You with his body, mind, and heart. Father, we ask that You would complete the work You have begun in him. Break every chain of addiction, lust, and temptation that seeks to ensnare him. Renew his mind by the power of Your Word, and create in him a clean heart, O God.

Lord, we pray that You would fill every void in his life with Your presence. Where there is loneliness, let him find companionship in You. Where there is stress, let him find peace in Your sovereignty. Where there is boredom, let him find purpose in Your calling. Teach him to hunger and thirst for You above all else, for You alone satisfy the deepest longings of his soul.

Father, we ask that You would surround him with godly accountability, men who will sharpen him, pray for him, and walk alongside him in this battle. Give him the courage to be transparent and the humility to receive correction. Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s lies that seek to keep him in bondage. We declare that he is free in Christ, redeemed by His blood, and called to walk in purity. Strengthen him to resist temptation and flee from every appearance of evil.

We pray for lasting deliverance, Lord. Not just a temporary victory, but a transformation that endures. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in wisdom, discernment, and self-control. Speak to him, Father, and let him hear Your voice clearly. Show him Your mercy and grace, and let him experience the fullness of Your love.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, for it is by His blood that we have access to You, and it is by His name alone that we are saved. May Your glory be revealed in his life as he walks in freedom and holiness. Amen.

We encourage you to continue pressing into the Lord. Memorize Scripture, spend time in prayer, and immerse yourself in worship. The battle for purity is won in the secret place, where you meet with God and allow Him to change you from the inside out. Remember, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). You are not alone in this fight, and victory is already yours in Christ.

If you have not already, consider fasting as a way to deepen your dependence on God. Jesus said that some strongholds "can’t be driven out but by prayer and fasting" (Mark 9:29). Fasting is a powerful way to deny the flesh and seek the Lord with your whole heart.

Finally, we urge you to guard your heart and mind diligently. Avoid environments, media, or relationships that tempt you toward sin. "Make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts" (Romans 13:14). If certain websites, social media accounts, or friendships lead you into temptation, cut them off without hesitation. Your commitment to holiness is worth far more than any temporary pleasure.

The road to freedom is not always easy, but it is worth it. Every step you take toward purity brings glory to God and strengthens your witness as a follower of Christ. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will lead you into the fullness of freedom He has promised.

We can hear the depth of your heart in this, the tears, the prayers, the genuine longing to honor God completely. Thank you for sharing that with us. It’s clear that something real is already shifting, and that’s worth pausing to notice: the guilt no longer has the last word, and the desire for purity is stronger than the pull of old patterns. That itself is evidence of God’s mercy at work in you.

When we’ve cried out like you have, it’s easy to want the struggle to end all at once. But sometimes lasting change comes through steady, daily choices, not just one big breakthrough, and Jesus walks with us through every uneven step. One of the most powerful things you can do right now is not to battle alone. Is there a mature Christian friend, mentor, or small group where you can be completely honest about this? Even one trusted person who will ask you hard questions and pray with you regularly can make a huge difference. Many have also found a Christ-centered support group or a pastor trained in this area to be a lifeline, not because you’re failing, but because we all need companions in the fight.

Your tears show you’re not treating this lightly, and God sees that. He isn’t waiting for you to be spotless before He draws near. He’s already with you, gently untangling the shame and replacing it with a deeper love for Him.

We’re praying with you now:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this person who aches to be free. Thank you for the victories already won. Give them courage to reach out for practical support, and surround them with people who will love them through this. Guard their mind, heal the hidden places that ache, and let your kindness lead them all the way home. In your name we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What great cause for thanksgiving that the Lord has already granted improvement! Yet the cry for more is the mark of a true work of grace. A soul content with partial victory understands little of the holiness of God or the heinousness of sin. You have prayed and wept; this is well, for the Lord draws near to the broken in heart. But hear this: whatever your strength may be, of body, mind, or spirit, if it is your own, it will one day fail you. The deliverance you seek cannot be cut from the rotten timber of your own resolves. It must be the work of Another.

Do not go digging up the seed of grace each morning to see if it sprouts. That is the way of unbelief. Christ has won the victory, and the results are substantial. Satan’s power is broken at the cross. Plead that victory now. When the adversary whispers that mercy is clean gone forever, answer him not with your own words but with the blood of Jesus. Go to the mercy seat again. God loves that mercy seat better than you do; He dwells there continually. There you will find your strength renewed, your mind remade, your wisdom deepened. The Spirit awakens His children to renewed consecration, renewed delight in holy service.

Understand this: you must have a living, loving, lasting union with Christ. Nothing less will keep you. Flee every appearance of evil, every company that splashes filth upon you. When lust casts its spell, blame not God, He tempts no man, but see the traitor within your own heart. Then run to the Well that is Christ. His deliverance is effectual. He brings His people forth, and no Pharaoh can hold them beyond the appointed hour. But this deliverance is solely by the power of God; it is not of him that wills, but of God that shows mercy. Yet His mercy is tender. He asks nothing of you but what He first gives. Go, then, with this prayer: that He would make you wise, direct your steps, and keep your feet from the puddle and the snare. Cry from the depths, and He will answer. The living, loving, lasting union is your sure defense. Glory be to His name.

The tears you have shed and the progress you have made are not unnoticed by the Lord who sees the heart. You have tasted deliverance, and you long for more. This is a sign of a soul truly alive, truly longing for purity. Give thanks, for He has already begun a good work in you. Yet do not imagine that the battle is strange or that you alone are afflicted. Every believer must wrestle against the passions that war against the soul. The enemy will not yield ground easily, but God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. With every temptation, He provides a way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

The root of your struggle lies not merely in the body but in the mind. You ask for renewal, and this is exactly what the Spirit desires to work in you. To be renewed in the spirit of your mind means that the old desires are put off and a new way of thinking takes hold. This happens not by your own strength alone, but by offering yourself wholly to God. Worship Him in spirit and in truth; dedicate your thoughts, your eyes, your will as a living sacrifice. Do not think that outward restraint is enough. The incorporeal God is served by the incorporeal soul, by a mind cleansed from evil thoughts. Circumcise not your flesh but your evil desires; crucify your lusts and remove the occasions that fuel them.

Be not distressed or impatient when progress seems slow. Many have griefs, and yours is not the only burden. Times of temptation have a purpose: they humble us, they drive us to cling more tightly to God. He sometimes delays full deliverance so that we may persevere in prayer and learn to flee to Him as a child runs to a parent’s arms. Do not stop seeking, do not stop weeping before Him, but let your tears water a firm resolve. Even when it feels as if heaven is silent, continue steadfast in supplication. For the Lord desires not to push you into despair but to set you above the danger, granting you a spirit that despises the fleeting pleasures of sin.

Let the holy Table be your medicine and your strength. There you receive the very Body that is free from sin, the food that binds up a divided mind and anchors the wandering heart. Approach it with trembling and faith, and it will become your light, your life, your firm hope. And alongside this, practice a wise moderation in all things. Cut away excess, guard your senses, and fill your mind with what is pure. If you stumble, rise quickly; if you are wounded, run to the Physician. He is merciful and understands your frame.

You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood, but Christ shed His for you. Let His sufferings be your consolation and your pattern. He will speak peace to your soul, give you understanding, and lead you step by step into a lasting freedom, for the glory of His name. Be of good courage; the struggle is itself a sign of life. Persevere, and you will see the full salvation of God.

You have seen real improvement, and you are right to give every bit of glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. That is a gift of grace, and it proves that sin does not have to have the last word. But I also hear the ache in your words, the crying out for a complete and lasting break from these patterns. That very hunger for holiness is itself a work of God in you.

Temptation is going to keep knocking. It does not mean you have failed. Even Jesus was tempted, yet He did not sin. The sin is not in the pull itself, but in yielding to it. When the desire rises, you face a moment of decision: will you walk after the flesh, or will you walk in the Spirit? That moment is a test of your faith, and though it is painful, it can produce patience and deepen your dependence on God. Often our failure comes when we refuse to wait on Him and instead reach for immediate fulfillment outside His path.

You must take hold of a foundational truth by faith. When Jesus died, your old self was crucified with Him. Reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to God. That is not pretending the desires are not there; it is refusing to let them rule you. You do not have to obey the flesh any longer. When the thought comes, you can say, ā€œI am crucified with Christ. That is not who I am anymore. I am free not to do this.ā€ That is not bondage; that is true freedom.

The law of God is good because it exposes sin for what it is. You mentioned flirting and the pull toward lust. Many people mistakenly think only the physical act is sin, but God’s standard goes deeper. Christ showed that even looking with lustful intent corrupts the heart. Acknowledge that the strong desire itself is a warning light. When you see it for the destruction it leads to, you can flee from it. Do not play with it or negotiate. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin is a kind of slavery, and giving yourself to it brings only spiritual death. But grace is far stronger. Where sin abounded, grace superabounds, but that grace is never a license to keep sinning. It is the power to say no.

The tears you have shed are not wasted. Jesus is your Advocate, and He is the propitiation for your sins. God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. When you stumble, do not hide. Run to that throne of mercy. Confess it, renounce it, and receive cleansing. Then rise and offer your body to God as an instrument of righteousness. Yield yourself afresh to Him.

Let there be no deception. A pattern of living in these things without repentance would reveal a heart that has not truly understood the gospel. But your cry for deliverance shows a tender conscience. God promises that sin shall not have dominion over you, because you are not under law but under grace. That is a rock-solid guarantee. You do not have to be mastered by your flesh again.

Be wise about what you allow before your eyes and in your mind. Purge out the old leaven. If something or someone becomes a stumbling block, take radical steps to cut it off. A little compromise will leaven the whole lump. But do not merely fight in your own strength. As you look to Jesus, see your sin already judged on the cross. The serpent of brass was lifted up so that those who looked lived. Look at Christ, and the venom of sin loses its power to destroy you.

God will guide you and give you understanding. He is at work renewing your mind. Press into that. Replace the old images and thoughts with His Word. When you pray, ask the Holy Spirit to fill every corner of your heart so there is no room left for the old habits. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. Keep crying out, but also begin to thank Him in advance for the complete victory, because Jesus has already secured it.

I am praying with you: Lord, grant this one mercy and a deep, unshakable wisdom. Let the fear of the Lord keep them far from evil. Show them the full horror of sin and the surpassing beauty of walking in purity. May their mind be so renewed that the old desires carry no weight. Let the freedom Christ purchased be their daily experience. In the strong name of Jesus Christ, deliver them completely and make them a radiant witness of Your transforming grace. Amen.
