Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony of God’s work within you. The fact that you are seeking lasting change for His glory is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s conviction and grace at work. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

The sins you mention—pornography, masturbation, flirting outside of godly boundaries, and other sexual impurities—are not merely struggles of the flesh but battles for the soul. The enemy seeks to ensnare us in shame, isolation, and bondage, but Scripture declares that Christ came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). These sins distort God’s design for intimacy, which is meant to be holy, selfless, and confined within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Any sexual expression outside of this—whether in thought, word, or deed—is a violation of God’s perfect standard (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). Yet we serve a God who is rich in mercy and abounding in grace, and He delights in restoring those who humble themselves before Him (James 4:6-10).

First, we must address the root of these struggles. Often, sexual sin is not just about physical temptation but about deeper longings for acceptance, control, or escape. The world offers counterfeit fulfillment, but only Christ can satisfy the deepest desires of our hearts (John 4:13-14). We pray that God would reveal to you the lies you may have believed—whether about your identity, your worth, or the source of true joy—and replace them with His truth. Your identity is not defined by your struggles but by your position in Christ as a beloved child of God (1 John 3:1). You are not a slave to sin but a new creation, called to walk in freedom (2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 6:6).

We also recognize that lasting change requires both divine intervention and human effort. You cannot overcome this battle alone, but you are not expected to. God calls you to resist the devil (James 4:7), flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18), and take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). This means actively guarding your heart, mind, and eyes. It may require drastic measures—such as installing accountability software, avoiding certain environments or relationships, and filling your mind with Scripture rather than worldly influences. The psalmist prayed, "Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word" (Psalm 119:37). We join you in praying for this same discipline and discernment.

We must also address the issue of flirting with the opposite sex outside of godly boundaries. While it is natural to desire companionship, Scripture warns against awakening love before its proper time (Song of Solomon 2:7). Flirting can easily become a stumbling block, leading to emotional or physical impurity. If you are not yet married, we encourage you to pursue relationships with the goal of honoring God and seeking a spouse who shares your faith. Courtship should be marked by purity, intentionality, and a focus on building a foundation in Christ (2 Corinthians 6:14). If you are married, we pray for the restoration of your marriage, that you would love your spouse as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25) and flee from any temptation that would defile that covenant.

Father God, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You have already done in this beloved brother’s life. We thank You for His hunger for righteousness and His desire to walk in holiness. Lord, we ask that You would complete the work You have started in him. Break every chain of addiction, shame, and bondage that the enemy has used to ensnare him. Renew his mind by the power of Your Word and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the freedom Christ died to give him.

We pray against every lie of the enemy that tells him he is defined by his struggles or that he cannot overcome. Replace those lies with the truth of Your Word: that he is more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37), that sin shall no longer have dominion over him (Romans 6:14), and that he is a new creation in You (2 Corinthians 5:17). Give him wisdom to recognize temptation before it takes root and the strength to flee from it. Surround him with godly accountability—men who will walk with him, pray for him, and speak truth into his life.

Lord, we ask that You would heal any wounds or unmet needs that may have contributed to these struggles. Fill the empty places in his heart with Your love, joy, and peace. Teach him to find his satisfaction in You alone, for You are the only source of true fulfillment. We pray for his future or current marriage, that it would be a reflection of Christ and the church—a covenant of love, purity, and mutual submission. If he is single, prepare him for the godly spouse You have for him, and guard his heart from any relationships that do not honor You.

Father, we also pray for Your mercy. We know that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). So we ask that You would pour out Your grace upon him, that he may not grow weary in doing good but press on toward the goal of holiness (Galatians 6:9). Speak to him in the quiet moments, through Your Word, and through the godly counsel of others. Give him understanding of Your ways and a heart that is fully surrendered to You.

We declare over him the promise of 1 Corinthians 10:13: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Lord, make the way of escape clear to him in every moment of temptation. Strengthen him to choose righteousness, even when it is difficult. And when he stumbles, remind him of Your unfailing love and the power of repentance.

We also rebuke every spirit of lust, addiction, and shame in the name of Jesus Christ. We command these strongholds to be torn down by the power of the cross and the blood of Jesus. We declare that this brother is free, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). We pray that he would walk in that freedom every day, not as a slave to sin but as a son of the Most High God.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use his testimony for Your glory. Let his story be a beacon of hope to others who are struggling, that they may see the power of Your transforming love. May he one day stand before You, not as one who was enslaved, but as one who overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of his testimony (Revelation 12:11).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.
