Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory the Lord Jesus Christ has already begun in your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony of His work within you. The fact that you are seeing improvement and giving all glory to Him is evidence of His faithfulness, and we stand with you in prayer and encouragement as you press forward toward complete freedom.

The sins you mentioned—pornography, masturbation, flirting outside of godly boundaries, and other sexual immorality—are not merely struggles but strongholds that the enemy uses to steal, kill, and destroy the abundant life Christ offers (John 10:10). These sins distort God’s design for intimacy, which is meant to be holy, pure, and reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We must address them with both truth and grace, for Scripture is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB).

Your desire for lasting and true improvement is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s conviction in your life. We must not grow weary in this battle, for the enemy will seek to lure you back into bondage. But take heart—greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The Lord is your strength, and He will complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the One who has conquered sin and death. We thank You for the work You have already done in this dear brother’s life, for the brokenness, the tears, and the cries that have drawn him closer to You. Lord, we ask that You would complete the good work You have started. Father, we pray for lasting deliverance from the sins of pornography, masturbation, and all forms of sexual immorality. Break every chain, tear down every stronghold, and renew his mind by the power of Your Word and Your Spirit.

Lord, we ask that You would fill him with Your wisdom, that he may discern the schemes of the enemy and stand firm in Your truth. Give him a hatred for sin and a deep love for righteousness. Father, we pray that You would speak to his heart, that he would hear Your voice clearly and follow Your leading. Surround him with godly accountability, with brothers and sisters in Christ who will walk alongside him, pray for him, and encourage him in his journey.

We rebuke every spirit of lust, perversion, and addiction in the name of Jesus. We declare that this brother is not defined by his past or his struggles, but by the blood of Jesus Christ, which has set him free. We pray that You would restore to him the joy of Your salvation and uphold him with Your generous Spirit (Psalm 51:12). Lord, let him walk in the freedom that Christ died to give him, and let his life be a testimony of Your power and grace.

Father, we also pray for Your mercy and understanding. Show him the root of these struggles—whether it be loneliness, idleness, unmet emotional needs, or past wounds—and heal him completely. Let him find his identity, worth, and satisfaction in You alone. May he seek You first in all things, and may his heart be fully surrendered to Your will.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You will answer this prayer according to Your perfect will and timing. Strengthen this brother to resist temptation, to flee from sin, and to run toward You with all his heart. May he grow in holiness, in love, and in obedience to Your Word. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Now, dear brother, we want to encourage you with some practical steps and biblical truths to help you walk in the freedom Christ has won for you:

1. **Flee Temptation**: Scripture commands us to flee sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). This means removing yourself physically, emotionally, and spiritually from anything that tempts you. Delete inappropriate content, avoid places or people that lead you into sin, and set up boundaries to protect your heart and mind. "Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41 WEB).

2. **Renew Your Mind**: The battle for purity is often won or lost in the mind. Fill your mind with God’s Word, meditate on it day and night, and let it transform your thinking (Romans 12:2). Memorize verses that speak to your struggle, such as Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me," or 2 Timothy 2:22, "Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart."

3. **Seek Accountability**: You cannot fight this battle alone. Find a trusted, godly brother in Christ—someone mature in their faith—who can hold you accountable, pray with you, and encourage you. Confess your struggles to one another, as Scripture says, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" (James 5:16 WEB).

4. **Guard Your Heart**: Be mindful of what you allow into your heart through your eyes and ears. Job said, "I made a covenant with my eyes, how then should I look lustfully at a young woman?" (Job 31:1 WEB). Be intentional about what you watch, listen to, and engage with. Replace worldly influences with godly ones—listen to worship music, read edifying books, and spend time in prayer and fellowship with other believers.

5. **Pursue Holiness**: God has called you to be holy, for He is holy (1 Peter 1:16). Holiness is not just about avoiding sin; it is about pursuing God with all your heart. Spend time in His presence, worship Him, and let His love fill you. As you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Remember, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6 WEB).

6. **Replace Sin with Godly Pursuits**: Often, sin takes root when we are idle or seeking to fill a void. Replace the time you once spent in sin with activities that honor God—serve in your church, study the Bible, pray, exercise, or engage in hobbies that build you up. The apostle Paul wrote, "Whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8 WEB).

7. **Remember Your Identity in Christ**: You are not defined by your struggles or your past. In Christ, you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). You are forgiven, redeemed, and set apart for God’s purposes. When the enemy whispers lies to you, combat them with the truth of God’s Word. Speak Scripture over your life and declare your identity in Christ.

8. **Walk in the Spirit**: Galatians 5:16 tells us, "Walk in the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh." The Holy Spirit is your helper, your guide, and your source of power. Yield to Him daily, and let Him lead you into all truth. As you do, the desires of the flesh will lose their grip on you.

9. **Forgive Yourself**: It is easy to fall into the trap of self-condemnation, but remember that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). God’s grace is greater than your sin. Receive His forgiveness, and extend that same grace to yourself. Learn from your mistakes, but do not let them define you.

10. **Set Your Eyes on Eternity**: Keep an eternal perspective. The pleasures of sin are temporary, but the rewards of righteousness are eternal. "For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory" (2 Corinthians 4:17 WEB). Let this truth motivate you to press on, even when the battle is fierce.

Finally, dear brother, we want to remind you that your victory is not dependent on your strength but on the power of the Holy Spirit working within you. You are not fighting for victory; you are fighting from victory. Jesus has already won the battle on the cross, and He has given you the authority to overcome in His name. Stand firm in that truth, and do not grow weary. The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3).

We will continue to pray for you, that the Lord would deepen your relationship with Him, that He would fill you with His peace, and that He would lead you into the fullness of freedom He has promised. May you experience the joy of walking in holiness, and may your life bring glory and honor to the One who has called you out of darkness and into His marvelous light. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear friend, we're right there with you, cheering you on in your journey to freedom. We're so glad to hear about the progress you've made, and we want to remind you that every step forward is a victory worth celebrating. The Lord is faithful, and He's not done with you yet!

We want to encourage you with a verse that's been a great source of strength for us: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39). No matter what you're facing, no matter what temptations come your way, remember that you are loved, you are cherished, and you are never alone.

We're going to keep praying for you, that you would continue to grow in wisdom and understanding, that you would find your strength in the Lord, and that you would walk in the fullness of the freedom that Jesus died to give you. We're believing for a breakthrough in your life, and we can't wait to see the incredible things God is going to do in and through you.

Keep fighting the good fight, dear friend. You're not alone, and you're never forgotten. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
