Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony of His grace at work within you. The fact that you are seeking lasting change for God’s glory is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s conviction and leading. Let us stand together in prayer and agreement, lifting you up before the throne of grace, where mercy and help are found.

First, we must address the root of these struggles with the truth of Scripture. Sexual sin—whether pornography, masturbation, or inappropriate flirting—is not merely a bad habit but a distortion of God’s holy design for intimacy. The Bible warns us clearly: *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). These sins grieve the Holy Spirit and defile the temple of God, which is your body. But praise be to God, who offers forgiveness, cleansing, and power to overcome through the blood of Jesus Christ!

Your desire for lasting change is a work of God, and we believe He will complete it. The apostle Paul writes, *"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6). The Lord does not leave His work unfinished. However, we must also recognize that true transformation requires active participation on our part. We must *"put to death... whatever belongs to [our] earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry"* (Colossians 3:5). This is not a one-time decision but a daily, moment-by-moment surrender to the Lordship of Christ.

Let us also address the importance of renewing your mind. The patterns of sin you have struggled with have likely shaped your thoughts, desires, and even your perception of yourself. But Scripture tells us, *"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2). This renewal comes through immersing yourself in God’s Word, prayer, and fellowship with believers who can encourage and hold you accountable. You must fill your mind with what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8), replacing the lies of the enemy with the truth of God’s Word.

We must also rebuke the enemy’s attempts to shame or discourage you. The devil would love for you to believe that you are defined by your past sins or that you are incapable of change. But the Bible declares, *"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"* (Romans 8:1). You are not your sin; you are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). The enemy may whisper accusations, but we stand on the truth that *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Reject every lie that tells you that you are beyond God’s grace or that your struggle is too great for Him.

Let us also address the issue of flirting with the opposite sex. While it may seem harmless, it can easily lead to temptation and emotional or physical unfaithfulness. The Bible instructs us to *"flee from youthful lusts"* (2 Timothy 2:22) and to *"make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts"* (Romans 13:14). This means avoiding situations, conversations, or behaviors that could lead you into sin. If you are not married, your focus should be on pursuing godly relationships with the intent of honoring God and seeking a spouse who shares your faith. If you are married, your devotion must be solely to your spouse, as Scripture commands: *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4).

Now, let us pray together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You have already done in this dear brother’s life. We thank You for the progress he has made and for his sincere desire to walk in holiness and purity. Lord, we ask that You would complete the work You have begun in him. Strengthen him with Your power so that he may stand firm against temptation and flee from every form of sexual immorality.

Father, we pray that You would renew his mind daily through Your Word. Help him to meditate on Scripture, to hide Your truth in his heart, and to replace every impure thought with what is pure, lovely, and honorable. Lord, give him wisdom to recognize the enemy’s schemes and the courage to resist them. We rebuke every spirit of lust, addiction, and shame that has sought to ensnare him, and we declare that he is free in Christ Jesus!

We ask that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, empowering him to walk in self-control and holiness. Surround him with godly accountability—men who will pray for him, encourage him, and challenge him to walk in integrity. Lord, if he is single, prepare him for a godly marriage, and if he is married, restore and strengthen his relationship with his spouse. Help him to honor You in every area of his life, including his thoughts, words, and actions.

Father, we also pray for Your mercy and grace to cover him. Where he has stumbled, lift him up. Where he has felt weak, strengthen him. Where he has felt alone, remind him that You are always with him. Speak to his heart, Lord, and give him a deep understanding of Your love and Your will for his life. We declare that no temptation is too great for You, and that You will always provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13).

We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust You to bring lasting transformation and victory in this brother’s life, for Your glory and honor. Amen.

Brother, we want to encourage you with these final words: you are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and He has already won the victory through the cross. Keep pressing into Him, keep seeking His face, and keep surrendering every area of your life to His lordship. The road to holiness is not always easy, but it is always worth it. As you continue to walk in obedience, you will experience the freedom, joy, and peace that come from living a life that honors God.

Remember the words of Jesus: *"If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free"* (John 8:31-32). Stay rooted in His Word, stay connected to His body (the church), and stay committed to His purposes. The Lord is faithful, and He will do it!

Dear brother, we're standing with you in this journey, and we're here to remind you that God is faithful. Let's keep pressing in together, shall we?

We've seen the progress you've made, and we're so grateful for your heartfelt desire to walk in holiness. Let's keep that fire burning, yeah? Let's pray for God to continue His good work in you, to renew your mind daily, and to fill you with His Holy Spirit.

Let's also ask for wisdom, courage, and discernment. We know the enemy tries to trip us up, but we're not defined by our past or present struggles. We're defined by Jesus, and He's already won the victory!

So, let's keep our eyes fixed on Him, brother. Let's keep seeking His face, surrendering our lives to Him, and walking in obedience. It's not always easy, but it's always worth it.

Remember, as Jesus said, "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." (John 15:7) So, let's keep abiding in Him, and let's keep asking, believing, and trusting.

We're in this together, and we believe in you. Keep fighting the good fight, brother. You've got this, in Jesus' name!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
