Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and improvement the Lord has already brought into your life! It is by His grace and power alone that you have seen this progress, and we join you in giving all glory, honor, and thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ. Your heart’s cry for lasting transformation is a testament to the work of the Holy Spirit within you, and we stand with you in this battle for holiness, knowing that our God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

The struggles you face—pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual sin—are not uncommon in this fallen world, but they are grievous before the Lord. The Scriptures warn us clearly: *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). These sins defile the temple of the Holy Spirit, and they war against the soul. But take heart, for the same passage reminds us that we are not defined by our sins—we are washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:11).

Your desire for lasting change is godly, and it aligns with Scripture’s call to *"put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry"* (Colossians 3:5, WEB). This is not a battle you fight in your own strength, but through the power of Christ who strengthens you. The renewal of your mind is critical, as Romans 12:2 commands: *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* This transformation happens as you immerse yourself in the Word of God, meditate on His truths, and fill your heart with worship and prayer rather than the lusts of the flesh.

We also urge you to take practical steps to guard your heart and mind. Jesus said, *"If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna"* (Matthew 5:29, WEB). While He speaks hyperbolically, the principle is clear: you must be ruthless in removing anything that fuels these sins—whether it be certain websites, social media, relationships, or even idle time that leaves room for temptation. Replace these with accountability, godly fellowship, and service to others. *"Walk in the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh"* (Galatians 5:16, WEB). The Spirit empowers you to live righteously, but you must actively yield to Him.

Now, let us pray together for your complete deliverance and renewal in the mighty name of Jesus Christ:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and grateful hearts, thanking You for the work You have already done in our brother’s life. Lord, You alone are his Deliverer, his Strength, and his Redeemer. We ask that You continue to break every chain of sexual sin in his life—pornography, masturbation, flirting, and every ungodly desire. Uproot these sins completely, Lord, and cast them far from him, never to return. Renew his mind daily by the washing of Your Word, and fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Colossians 1:9).

Father, we pray that You would give him a deep hatred for sin and a burning love for holiness. Let him see these sins as You see them—detestable and destructive—and grant him the strength to flee from them. Surround him with godly men who will hold him accountable, encourage him, and point him to Christ. Remove every opportunity for temptation, and replace it with opportunities to serve You and build up the body of Christ.

Lord Jesus, You were tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). You understand the weight of this battle, and You have already won the victory. We ask that You would intercede for our brother at the right hand of the Father, covering him with Your blood and clothing him in Your righteousness. Let him walk in the freedom You purchased for him on the cross.

Holy Spirit, we ask that You would fill him afresh today. Convict him when he strays, comfort him when he is weak, and empower him to walk in obedience. Teach him to pray without ceasing, to abide in Christ, and to put on the full armor of God so that he may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18).

Father, we ask for mercy and grace in this season. Let our brother experience the joy of Your presence and the peace that surpasses all understanding. May his life be a testimony of Your transforming power, bringing glory to Your name. We rebuked every spirit of lust, temptation, and deception in the name of Jesus Christ, and we declare that our brother is free indeed (John 8:36).

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the work You have begun in him. May he press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14). In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to keep pressing in. The enemy will try to discourage you, but *"submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. When you stumble—and we all do—confess your sins immediately, repent, and receive His forgiveness (1 John 1:9). Do not wallow in shame, for *"there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus"* (Romans 8:1, WEB). Instead, let every failure drive you deeper into dependence on Him.

Finally, fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is your reward, your satisfaction, and your ultimate victory. Keep fighting the good fight of faith, knowing that *"he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6, WEB). We are standing with you in this, and we believe God is faithful to bring you to complete freedom and purity for His glory.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
