We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The pain you’re feeling is real, and the weight of it is heavy, but the Lord sees you, hears you, and holds you even in this moment. You are precious to Him, and your life has purpose, even when it feels unbearable.

First, we must address the despair in your words. The enemy wants you to believe that you are worthless, that the world would be better without you, but that is a lie straight from the pit of hell. Scripture tells us, "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB). Jesus did not come so that you would suffer in silence, He came to give you life, hope, and freedom. When you say you want to die, we must rebuke that spirit of death in the name of Jesus. You are not your own; you were bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). Your life belongs to God, and He is not finished with you yet.

We also need to speak truth about the ways you’re trying to cope. Turning to wine for comfort may numb the pain temporarily, but it will not heal your heart. In fact, it can make the darkness feel even heavier. Proverbs 20:1 (WEB) warns, "Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise." The Lord offers true comfort, not in a bottle, but in His presence. And while medication can be a tool for managing anxiety, it is not the ultimate answer. Only Jesus can bring lasting peace to your soul. We encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted believer who can walk with you through this valley.

Your self-hatred is another lie that must be torn down. The Bible says, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1 WEB). If you have put your faith in Jesus, you are forgiven, redeemed, and deeply loved, not because of what you do, but because of what He has done for you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB), and God has a plan for your life, even when you can’t see it. The enemy wants you to focus on your failures, but God sees your potential. He calls you His child (1 John 3:1 WEB), and nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39 WEB).

We also want to gently address the absence of Jesus’ name in your cry for help. There is power in the name of Jesus, He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6 WEB), and it is through Him alone that we find salvation, healing, and hope. If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. The Bible says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB). Salvation is not about being perfect; it’s about recognizing your need for a Savior and trusting in Him. If you have already given your life to Christ, then we encourage you to cling to Him now more than ever. He is your refuge, your strength, and your very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is in such deep pain. Lord, You see the tears they’ve cried, the battles they’ve fought, and the lies they’ve believed. We rebuke the spirit of despair, self-hatred, and death in the name of Jesus. We declare that You are the God who heals, the God who restores, and the God who brings hope to the hopeless. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of anxiety, depression, and addiction in their life. Replace their sorrow with Your joy, their fear with Your peace, and their shame with Your love.

Father, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them feel Your presence like never before. Remind them that they are not a mistake, not a burden, but a beloved child of the Most High God. Help them to see themselves through Your eyes, redeemed, cherished, and full of purpose. Lord, we ask that You would guide them to the right help, whether it’s godly counsel, a supportive community, or a doctor who can assist with their physical needs. Give them the strength to lay down the things that are harming them and to reach out for the help they need.

We also pray for salvation, if they have not yet given their life to You. Draw them close, Lord, and let them experience the love of Christ in a way that transforms their heart. If they already know You, reignite their passion for You. Help them to remember that You are their hope, their healer, and their deliverer.

We thank You, Father, that You are faithful, even when we are not. We trust that You will meet them in this dark place and lead them into the light. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Please know that you are not alone in this fight. The Lord is with you, and so are we. We encourage you to reach out to someone you trust, a pastor, a friend, a family member, and let them walk with you. You were not meant to carry this burden by yourself. The Bible says, "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Give your pain to Jesus. Let Him carry it for you.

And if you’re struggling with thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please call a helpline or go to the nearest emergency room. Your life matters, and there are people who want to help you through this. You are not a burden, you are a child of God, and He has a future for you. Hold on. Keep fighting. The Lord is fighting for you, even when you can’t see it.

We hear how much pain you're in, and we're so sorry you're feeling this way. You've told us you're struggling and even having thoughts of wanting to die, so before anything else, we need to say this plainly: if you're in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can also find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone, and there are trained people ready to help right now.

We're glad you reached out and were honest about the awful heaviness you're carrying. The feelings of worthlessness and self-hatred you've described can be overwhelming, and we don't want you to face them by yourself. We also noticed you mentioned new ### and that you're drinking wine to feel better. That combination can be dangerous, it might make your emotions feel even more chaotic or intensify the side effects. Please reach out to the doctor who prescribed the ### and let them know what's happening. They need to know how you're feeling, and they can help you safely adjust your treatment.

What you're experiencing does not mean you're without value or that others would be better off without you. That thought is a lying echo of the pain, not the truth. When you feel like you can't take another minute, we hope you'll take the small but courageous step of calling a helpline, contacting your doctor, or just telling one trusted person honestly where you are right now.

Father, we lift up this person who is crying out to You from such a dark place. In their exhaustion and despair, meet them with Your steady comfort. Surround them with the right help, from medical professionals, from a listening friend, from a support community. Still the inner storm, and give them a small sense of Your nearness today. In Jesus' name, amen.

You are not forgotten of heaven, though your own heart condemns you in the bitterest hour. The pain you have poured out tells of a soul that longs for life, though it is crushed; and that longing itself is a token that God has not left you to perish. But learn, I pray you, to distinguish between the hatred of evil and the hatred of yourself. It is written, "Ye that love the Lord, hate evil"; but nowhere are you bidden to hate your own being, which is made in the image of God. Your sins and your miseries you may well loathe, yet hating yourself is a device of the adversary to drive you from the cross, not to it. All the venom you feel against your own soul should be turned against the sin that has wounded you, and not against the hand that trembles to be healed.

You say, "What good am I? Everybody would be fine without me." That is the breath of the pit. The Lord thinks thoughts of you that are not your thoughts, for His words are, "I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." His thoughts are precious, countless as the sand, and they are fixed upon you in this dark moment no less than if you stood in the full blaze of noonday faith. You measure your worth by your feelings and your failings; God measures it by the blood of His dear Son. The wine you drink to ease the agony will prove a deceiver; it cannot reach the deep wound, nor quiet the conscience, nor lift the burden. Christ alone is the true vine, and the cup of His covenant is the only draught that bringeth lasting peace.

The very leaves of the tree of life are for healing. Even the least glance at a crucified Savior has power to begin the cure. When the Lord Jesus saw the man sick of the palsy, He did not first address the body; He saw the deeper need, and said, "Man, thy sins are forgiven thee." Forgiveness and healing are twin gifts from one hand. You cry, "I hate myself," but cast but one look at Calvary, and you will hate the sin indeed, but you will love the Sin-bearer with a broken, grateful heart. Your feelings are like a storm-tossed sea, but the Master of the deep walketh upon the waters still and speaketh peace when it pleases Him. Cease striving, cease self-examining in your own strength, and cry rather, "Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

Bring your breaking heart and your distracted mind to the great Physician, whose specialty is the healing of the broken in heart and the binding up of their wounds. Think it not a little thing that you are still crying unto the Lord; the groan that has no words may be the truest prayer. It is not the strength of your faith, but the object of it, that saves. Lay hold of the hem of His garment even with a trembling hand, and you shall find peace. He has said, "Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out," and He cannot change. Drink no more from the broken cistern, but come to the fountain. The Savior has perceived your thoughts afar off; He knows the sin, the shame, the despair. And yet He draws near to whisper, "Thy sins are forgiven thee; rise up and walk." May that voice be the dawn of your waking, and when you awake, you shall find yourself still with Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
