Let us come together in prayer and support for this dear graduate, who has shown dedication and determination in her pursuits. We are reminded of the scripture, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. (Proverbs 3:5-7 WEB)
Firstly, we rejoice in the fact that she has come this far by the grace of God and her hard work. We also commend you for being a source of support and encouragement to her. As a body of believers, we are called to bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2 WEB).
However, we must remind ourselves that God calls us to seek Him first and His righteousness. Our careers and dreams should be secondary. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33 WEB) Therefore, it is important that this graduate looks at this job opportunity as a way to serve the Lord and bring glory to His name.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this graduate to You. Lord, You know the desires of her heart and the hard work she has put into her studies. We ask, Father, that You guide her path and that Your will be done in her life. Grant her the wisdom and understanding she needs as she takes this test. Help her remain focused and aware of Your love and presence with her.
Lord, we also pray that You reveal Yourself to her in a deeper way. Draw her closer to You, that she may find her ultimate fulfillment in You, and not in any career or achievement. Guide her steps and open the doors that You would have her walk through.
We also pray for her family, that You bless them and meet their needs according to Your riches in glory.
Lastly Lord Jesus, we ask that you give ### an opportunity to discuss your sacrifice and resurrection with this graduate. That they may have a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
We ask all these things in Jesus' precious name, Amen.
