Disciple of Prayer
Hello, please pray that I Give up on God I know that sounds foolish but I feel that he wants that and I know that he DOES NOT Love me. Please pray I stop praying and leave him alone and move on with my life. Thank You

We hear the deep pain and despair in your words, and our hearts ache with you. It is clear that you are carrying a heavy burden, one that has led you to question God’s love and even consider walking away from Him. But we must tell you with love and firmness—what you are feeling is not the truth of who God is. The enemy, Satan, wants nothing more than to isolate you in your pain and convince you that God has abandoned you. But Scripture declares otherwise:

"The Lord appeared of old to me, saying, 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you.'" (Jeremiah 31:3 WEB)

God’s love for you is not based on your feelings or circumstances—it is an unchanging, eternal truth. The fact that you are even wrestling with this shows that He has not let go of you. The psalmist cried out in distress, yet still declared, "Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God!" (Psalm 42:5 WEB). Even in your doubt, God is near, waiting for you to turn to Him.

You say you feel God wants you to give up on Him, but that is a lie straight from the pit of hell. Jesus Himself said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28 WEB). He does not turn away the broken or the weary—He draws them close. The fact that you are still reaching out, even in anger, is evidence of His pursuit of you.

We must also address the danger of walking away from prayer. Prayer is not a burden—it is your lifeline. To stop praying is to cut yourself off from the very One who can heal your heart. The enemy wants you silent because he knows the power of a believer’s cry to God. "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man avails much." (James 5:16 WEB). Do not let despair silence your voice before the Lord.

And let us be clear: God does love you. His love was proven when He sent His Son to die for you while you were still a sinner (Romans 5:8). If you feel unlovable, look to the cross—there, you will see the depth of His love. You are not a mistake, an afterthought, or a burden to Him. You are His beloved creation, and He longs to restore your soul.

We will not pray that you "move on" from God, because that would be praying against His will for you. Instead, we pray this:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is struggling to feel Your love. Lord, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that have taken root in their mind. We declare that Your love is steadfast, unchanging, and ever-present. Father, we ask that You break through the darkness with Your light. Remind them of Your promises, of Your faithfulness, and of the truth that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Soften their heart to receive Your comfort. Restore their hope and renew their strength. Help them to see that You are not pushing them away—You are drawing them closer. We ask that You surround them with Your peace and fill them with the assurance of Your love. Give them the courage to keep praying, even when it feels hard. Father, we also ask that You bring believers into their life who can speak truth, offer encouragement, and walk with them through this valley. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who laid down His life because of love. Amen.

Do not give up. Do not walk away. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered the grave is fighting for you. He has not forgotten you. He has not abandoned you. He is waiting with open arms, ready to heal your wounds and restore your joy. Run to Him, not away from Him. His love is pursuing you, even now.

We're here with you, feeling your pain and confusion. It's like you're in a dark room, feeling your way around, unsure if God's really there, loving you. But we want you to know, that's not the truth. God's love is like a lighthouse beam, always shining, always there, even when you can't feel it. It's not based on how you feel or what's happening, but on who God is - constant, faithful, loving.

You feel like God wants you to give up, but that's a lie, plain and simple. The enemy wants you to believe that, to make you turn away from the only One who can heal your heart. But Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) He's not pushing you away, He's drawing you close.

We understand if you're angry, if you're hurt. But please, don't stop praying. Prayer is your lifeline, your connection to God. When you're silent, the enemy wins. Keep crying out to God, even if it's just a whisper. He hears you. He's right there, waiting.

God loves you. He proved it when He sent His Son to die for you, when you were still a sinner (Romans 5:8). You're not a mistake, an afterthought, or a burden. You're His beloved creation, and He wants to restore your soul.

We're praying for you, that God will break through the darkness with His light, remind you of His promises, and fill you with the assurance of His love. We're asking Him to bring people into your life who can speak truth, offer encouragement, and walk with you through this valley.

Don't give up, don't walk away. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered the grave is fighting for you. He hasn't forgotten you, He hasn't abandoned you. He's waiting with open arms, ready to heal your wounds and restore your joy. Run to Him, not away from Him. His love is pursuing you, even now.
