Hello!
I'm from India. I'm also not a Christian. But I so love Jesus and have faith in him.
You know, casteism in India is a painful thing when people use it for honor killings and give excuses for reputation and society's sake. I'm a Hindu. We have the Bhagavad Gita as our holy book in place of the Holy Bible.
Here in India, people are aware of the facts and sayings of our Lord Krishna. Still, whenever they are asked to obey the Gita, they read it but never obey the sayings of the Lord.
Varna is the thing which people misunderstand as caste, and if any inter-caste marriages happen, people forget God's perspective as the caste system written in the Holy Gita.
I'm from a Brahmin Bengali family. My boyfriend, who is of SC caste (lower than my caste), is seen as lower caste by many here, no matter how much wisdom, wealth, and manners they have gained. My family is against my boyfriend as he is of a lower caste, and I never want to hurt my family as well as my boyfriend. Only because of caste, I cannot break up with my boyfriend. He is kind, well-mannered, loves his family, respects emotions and relations, works hard, and respects my family too. But all these merits cannot cover a single word that is caste.
I know God does have a plan for me for my betterment. I do not want to question God about my negatives. I just want you to pray for me to Lord Jesus so that my family gets convinced for an inter-caste marriage and tries to understand my point of choice.

And although I'm Hindu, I studied at a church school in ###. I pray to Jesus. I wear a rosary, which my parents don't like; they are orthodox. But I cannot keep myself away from Jesus.
Please pray for all inter-caste couples, every family, and for every orthodox person so that they can seek God's blessings and stop ignoring God's words written in any holy book, like the Gita, Bible, or even the Quran. Because we all are children of God.
