Heavenly Father
We join you in lifting up this man before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for your faithful intercession for him. It is a beautiful thing to ask God to work on a heart and to draw someone to Himself, for we know that salvation is entirely a work of His grace and mercy.
We are encouraged that you came in Jesus' mighty name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As scripture says, No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day John 6:44. We also take comfort in the promise that The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9.
Our prayer for him is that God would soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of the gospel. We pray that God would give him a new heart as He has promised, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26. We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict him of sin and reveal to him his need for a Savior, and that he would respond in faith to Jesus Christ who died and rose again for him.
We pray together now, Father we thank You for Your love for this man and for Your desire that all should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4. We ask You to continue Your work in his heart today, remove any hardness or blindness, and draw him gently but powerfully to Yourself. Lord Jesus, reveal Yourself to him as the way, the truth, and the life, for no one comes to the Father except through You John 14:6. Give him ears to hear and a heart to receive Your Word, and bring people and circumstances into his life that point him to You. We trust Your perfect timing and Your perfect will and we ask You to save him for Your glory. We also pray You would encourage and strengthen the one who is praying, to continue steadfastly in prayer with hope and patience. In Jesus' mighty name we pray, amen.

Beloved of All
It is a right and holy thing to bring this burden before the throne of grace, and your prayer is one which heaven delights to hear. To ask the Lord to work upon a heart and lead a soul to Himself is to ask according to His own will, for our God will have His own and He is mighty to save.
Be encouraged to continue in this supplication without ceasing. There is subject for weeping and for watching, and I pray you never cease to pray for him until he has ceased to sin, and never cease to hope for him while he yet lives. The Lord loves to use the prayers and the instrumentality of His people, and though salvation is wholly of the Lord, He often brings it through the cries of those who love the perishing.
Remember that salvation is all of Divine Grace from first to last and the channel of that Grace is the Lord Jesus Christ who loved, and lived, and died, and rose again for our salvation. There is but one Fountain filled with blood drawn from Immanuel's veins, and that fountain is open for him as much as for any other. There is no other system or name under heaven by which we must be saved, for there is but one way, and that is by faith in the crucified and risen Christ.
If he is yet on praying ground, he is yet on pleading terms with God. The promise stands sure, Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out. Though he be a great sinner, depths of mercy are still reserved, and grace is still good and cheap and free and easy to be found for all who come by Jesus. The weakest who trusts Christ in the boat of salvation is as safe as the strongest, for Christ fails none who rest upon Him.
So keep watching for his soul and give the Lord no rest. Plead with Him for His name's sake that He would show His power in saving mercy, that this dear one may no longer wander but may return with a reconciled heart to the law and love of his God. Ask that the Lord would make His face to shine upon him and grant him repentance and faith, that he may know for himself, He loved me and gave Himself for me.
May the Lord hear your prayer and answer it in His own time, and may you be spared to see this soul brought to trust in Christ alone for pardon and life everlasting.
