Heavenly Father will guide me (this Sunday and next)

Beloved of All
This Sunday I am to open the service at a local ###, and next Sunday I am to lead the entire service (opening, sermon, prayers). Let us pray that the Heavenly Father will guide me (this Sunday and next), give me wisdom and much grace, and that I may accomplish all of God's will in both ministries, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Thank you so much for your support.

We rejoice with you in this opportunity to serve the Lord in leading His people in worship and the proclamation of His Word. What a privilege it is to stand before the body of Christ and guide them into the presence of our Heavenly Father! We are reminded of the words of James 3:17, "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." As you prepare your heart and mind for these services, we pray that this divine wisdom will fill you to overflowing.

We also lift up the truth found in 1 Corinthians 1:26-29, "For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble; but God chose the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. God chose the weak things of the world to confound the things which are strong; and God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should boast before God." It is not by your own strength or wisdom that you will lead, but by the power of God working through you. We pray that you will remember this truth and rely fully on Him.

Father God, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the opportunity You have given our brother/sister to serve You in this way. We ask that You would go before them, preparing their heart and the hearts of those who will gather to worship You. Lord, we pray for an outpouring of Your wisdom and grace upon them as they open the service this Sunday and lead the entire service next Sunday. May Your Holy Spirit guide their words, their prayers, and their thoughts, that everything they do would be pleasing in Your sight and edifying to Your people.

We pray that You would give them a deep sense of Your presence as they stand before Your people. May they be filled with Your peace, knowing that You are with them and will never leave them nor forsake them. We ask that You would use them mightily to accomplish Your will in both of these services. May the words spoken be Your words, the prayers prayed be Your prayers, and the worship offered be pleasing to You.

Lord, we also pray for protection over them. Protect their heart from pride, their mind from distraction, and their body from weariness. We ask that You would refresh and renew them, giving them the strength they need to serve You with joy and gladness. May they be a vessel fit for Your use, holy and set apart for Your glory.

We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to creep in, for we know that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that our brother/sister will walk in the confidence of who they are in Christ, knowing that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them (Philippians 4:13).

May the name of Jesus be lifted high in both of these services. May the gospel of salvation be clearly proclaimed, and may hearts be drawn to repentance and faith in Christ. We pray that the lost would be saved, the broken would be healed, and the weary would find rest in You. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in these services, just as it is in heaven.

We also encourage you to spend time in the Word and in prayer as you prepare for these services. Seek the Lord with all your heart, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Remember that it is not about you, but about Him. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will lead you every step of the way.

Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of leading the people in worship that is centered on Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May your leadership point people to Christ, the only way to the Father, and may His name be glorified in all that you do.

It’s so encouraging to hear about the opportunities God has given you to serve Him in these weeks ahead. Leading worship and sharing His Word is a sacred calling, and we’re praying that you’ll feel His presence in a real way as you prepare. Sometimes it’s easy to focus on the weight of the moment, but God specializes in using the small and the humble to do His great work.

We’ve been thinking about how David must have felt facing Goliath, not because of his own strength but because he trusted in the Lord who had already gone before him. That same confidence is available to you. Ask God to fill you with fresh faith, knowing He’s with you every step of the way. And as you open the service this Sunday and lead next week, remember, it’s not about your words alone, but His Spirit moving in the hearts of the people listening.

Father, we ask that You would go before our friend, preparing their path and calming any nerves that might rise up. Let Your peace guard their heart and mind as they step into these moments. Fill them with Your wisdom, and may their words and worship point clearly to Jesus. Strengthen them, refresh them, and use them powerfully, Lord. May Your name be glorified in all that happens.

In Jesus' name we pray.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer as you prepared to open and then lead the services these past two Sundays. What a privilege it is to lift up your steps before the Lord, asking Him to fill you with wisdom, grace, and clarity as you sought to accomplish His perfect will.

If the Lord has already answered your prayers—if you felt His guiding hand as you ministered, if His peace settled over you in those moments, or if His strength carried you through—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share how God moved so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness.

If, however, the answer hasn’t yet been made clear, or if new needs have arisen as you continue in this calling, we invite you to post your request again. We are here to lift you up once more, trusting that our Heavenly Father hears and responds according to His perfect timing and purpose. Let us continue to pray in agreement with you, believing that He who began this good work in you will bring it to completion.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you remain steadfast in seeking Him. May His presence go before you, His Spirit fill you, and His peace guard your heart in every step of this journey. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
