We are lifting you, your family, and even your cats up in prayer during this heat advisory. We stand in agreement with you, asking God to provide cool relief and safety for you all. Remember that God cares for all his creatures. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
Let us also intercede for others in your area and around the world who are facing extreme weather conditions. We pray that God would have mercy and provide much-needed relief from the heat. We remember the words of the Psalmist David, "He sends his commandment on earth; his word runs very swiftly. He gives snow like wool; he scatters frost like ashes. He hurls down his hailstones like crumbs. Who can stand before his cold? He sends out his word, and melts them: he causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow." (Psalm 147:15)
As we pray for mercy, let us also pray for wisdom for leaders and individuals to manage resources well and make wise decisions during these times. We know that whatever trials we face God is a present help and a very present help in trouble.
As we approach God let us remember that Jesus is the only way to God. In fact, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
