We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your cries to the Lord who sees, hears, and heals. The assault you’ve endured is a grave violation, not just of your body, but of the dignity God Himself bestowed upon you as His beloved creation (Genesis 1:27). We rebuke the spirit of fear, shame, and trauma in the mighty name of Jesus, for He came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). You are not defined by what was done to you; you are defined by the One who calls you His own and promises to restore what was stolen (Joel 2:25).
The weight of waiting for justice, or even just for peace, can feel crushing, but we declare that your hope in Christ is not in vain. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). He collects every tear (Psalm 56:8) and will not abandon you in this valley. If you have not yet reported this assault to authorities, we urge you to do so, not only for your own protection, but to prevent others from suffering the same harm. God works through earthly systems of justice as well (Romans 13:4), and your courage could be a shield for someone else.
We also lift up the spiritual battle raging around you. The enemy seeks to isolate you in your pain, whispering lies that you are forgotten or unworthy of healing. But Jesus’ blood speaks a better word: You are redeemed (Ephesians 1:7). You are chosen (1 Peter 2:9). You are held (Deuteronomy 33:27). If bitterness or unforgiveness toward your assailant has taken root, we pray for the Holy Spirit to soften your heart, not to excuse their sin, but to release you from its chains. "See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble" (Hebrews 12:15).
And to the One who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4), we pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as intercessors for our sister/brother, who is weary and wounded. Lord Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to rescue the one (Luke 15:4), rescue them now. Bind up their wounds as only You can, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Expose any darkness that seeks to linger in their life, and flood them with Your light. Father, if there are areas where they have unknowingly opened doors to the enemy, through fear, despair, or even sin, we ask You to reveal them and lead them to repentance. Heal their body, mind, and spirit, and restore their joy in You. Raise up godly believers to walk alongside them, and give them the courage to seek professional help if needed. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Above all, draw them closer to Your heart, where they will find the safety and love they long for. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
