Heart broken, worried, assulted,

We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your cries to the Lord who sees, hears, and heals. The assault you’ve endured is a grave violation, not just of your body, but of the dignity God Himself bestowed upon you as His beloved creation (Genesis 1:27). We rebuke the spirit of fear, shame, and trauma in the mighty name of Jesus, for He came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). You are not defined by what was done to you; you are defined by the One who calls you His own and promises to restore what was stolen (Joel 2:25).

The weight of waiting for justice, or even just for peace, can feel crushing, but we declare that your hope in Christ is not in vain. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). He collects every tear (Psalm 56:8) and will not abandon you in this valley. If you have not yet reported this assault to authorities, we urge you to do so, not only for your own protection, but to prevent others from suffering the same harm. God works through earthly systems of justice as well (Romans 13:4), and your courage could be a shield for someone else.

We also lift up the spiritual battle raging around you. The enemy seeks to isolate you in your pain, whispering lies that you are forgotten or unworthy of healing. But Jesus’ blood speaks a better word: You are redeemed (Ephesians 1:7). You are chosen (1 Peter 2:9). You are held (Deuteronomy 33:27). If bitterness or unforgiveness toward your assailant has taken root, we pray for the Holy Spirit to soften your heart, not to excuse their sin, but to release you from its chains. "See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble" (Hebrews 12:15).

And to the One who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4), we pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You as intercessors for our sister/brother, who is weary and wounded. Lord Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to rescue the one (Luke 15:4), rescue them now. Bind up their wounds as only You can, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Expose any darkness that seeks to linger in their life, and flood them with Your light. Father, if there are areas where they have unknowingly opened doors to the enemy, through fear, despair, or even sin, we ask You to reveal them and lead them to repentance. Heal their body, mind, and spirit, and restore their joy in You. Raise up godly believers to walk alongside them, and give them the courage to seek professional help if needed. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Above all, draw them closer to Your heart, where they will find the safety and love they long for. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or despair, please reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or helpline immediately. You are not alone, and your life is precious to God. The same Jesus who calmed the storm (Mark 4:39) can calm the storm within you. Keep crying out to Him, He is intervening, even now.

We hear the weight in those few words, heartbreak, worry, and the deep wound of being assaulted. You’ve carried so much, and yet here you are, reaching toward Jesus and waiting for Him. That takes real courage.

There’s something in the story of Elijah that we think might meet you where you are right now. After a terrifying threat, he fled into the wilderness, utterly depleted, he sat under a bush and asked God to take his life. What he wanted most in that moment was for it all to just end. God didn’t scold him or demand he snap out of it. Instead, God let him sleep, sent an angel to give him food and water, and then let him rest again. He tended to Elijah’s body and safety before addressing anything else. The spiritual battle Elijah faced required basic, gentle care first. We believe the same is true for you.

Right now, your most urgent need might be safety and stability. Please consider reaching out to someone you trust in person, a pastor, a counselor, or a local support organization. You don’t have to navigate the aftermath of assault alone, and having someone steady walk alongside you can make the waiting more bearable. If you don’t have anyone in mind right now, you can simply reply here and we’ll help you think through the next step.

We are praying with you tonight, not because we have easy answers, but because Jesus is near to the brokenhearted, and He does not despise your waiting or your tears.

Jesus, hold this dear one close. Wrap them in safety, give their body and heart rest, and send someone wise and kind to walk this road beside them. Cut through the isolation and the fear. You see everything that happened, and You do not turn away. Bring justice, healing, and, in time, a steady, quiet hope. Amen.

Upon a bruised reed He will not tread, nor quench the smoking flax. That same Jesus who looked with anger upon hard hearts is grieved when sorrow crushes you low. You speak of a broken heart, and I tell you, the very cure for it lies in the heart that was pierced for you. His grief was substitutionary, all the wrath your sin deserved was spent upon Him. Bring your poor shattered heart to the open side of Christ and find it bound up by His love.

You wait, but what are you waiting for? Feeling? A sign? Despair whispers that you must linger by the pool till the waters stir, but the Master is already here. He does not ask you to feel your way into peace; He bids you hear joy and gladness, that the bones He has broken may rejoice. Faith does not tarry for emotions; it takes hold of the naked promise. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, even you, assaulted and undone as you are.

The adversity that now weighs on you may be the very hammer shattering your self-reliance, that a new heart of flesh may be written upon by the finger of God. Do not despise the breaking, but come now, and upon His own terms. Renounce every lingering hope in yourself; confess your sins are laid on Jesus, the great transaction done. Then rest, long-divided heart, on that blissful center.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your heart is broken, and the enemy has assaulted you fiercely. But remember: the devil makes his attacks constant and cunning, besieging our salvation on every side. If he gains even the smallest foothold, he widens it and brings in all his forces. Therefore be sober and watchful; do not yield an inch.

Yet take courage. After the Lord Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, angels came and ministered to Him. He permitted the assault, but when He had overcome, heaven’s comfort appeared. In the very same way, if you endure this trial as His servant, angels will receive you after the victory, applauding and guarding you in all things. Your waiting is not unseen.

Do not say, “Why does He delay?” The disciples themselves were exceeding sorry when He told them of His coming Passion, though He also promised He would rise the third day. They could not yet see the glory hidden in the sorrow. The Lord can intervene with sudden power: think of Paul, once a raging persecutor, converted in an instant by divine revelation. What human reasoning could not do, the Lord did in a single moment.

So bring your broken matter and cast it at His feet, like those who were lame. They climbed the mountain, though they could not walk, and wanted nothing except to be thrown before Jesus. That is the faith that lays hold of Him. Do not cling to your own understanding or demand a sign. Be genuinely His servant, as Paul was, and you are the freest of all: a servant of Christ is a slave to no sin, no fear, no earthly power. Say with the Apostle, “If the Lord will give me bread to eat and clothing to wear,” and let that be enough. Lay everything else at His feet, and He will lift you up in His time.

Your heart is heavy right now, and the waiting feels unbearable. You are not wrong to cry out for Jesus to intervene. He hears the brokenness, the worry, and the sting of assault. When everything in you wants relief now, waiting on the Lord can seem like the hardest calling. Yet Scripture keeps pointing us there, not to frustrate us, but to teach us dependence.

Waiting is not emptiness. It’s a season of trusting God’s timing rather than our own. James compares it to a farmer watching the ground, knowing the full harvest comes in its appointed moment. You can be confident that God is at work, even when the days feel silent. The temptation is to rush ahead and try to fix things ourselves, like Abraham and Sarah’s desperate plan with Hagar, which brought years of grief. Resisting that urge spares you from a wilderness of your own making. Let the Lord direct your heart into His love and into patient endurance.

That love is not angry or distant. God’s heart breaks over your pain, longing to restore you. He will not crush you under judgment; instead, He draws near with compassion. Remember, Jesus has already justified you. Every sin, every failing, has been pushed off the scale, and in its place you stand clothed in His righteousness. No accusation from the enemy or from your own memories can undo that.

Yes, we groan under the weight of a broken world. We wait for the day when these aching bodies and wounded hearts are redeemed forever. But until then, we are held by hope, real, living hope that does not shame us, because God’s promises never fail. See yourself like the man at the pool of Bethesda, lying there year after year, waiting for a sign. Jesus did not simply stir the waters; He came directly to that man. He sees where you lie, and He will not overlook you. He will confirm you and keep you firm until the very day He returns.

So while you wait, lift your eyes to the risen Lord. He is the one who delivers from wrath, fills you with His Spirit, and will complete what He started. Cast your heartbreak on Him. He intervenes in His perfect way and time. I am praying for you now, that Jesus would move in your situation, guard your heart with His peace, and strengthen you to wait upon Him.
