Hear my prayer Lord

Beloved of All
Father God,
I come before you with a heavy heart towards the issues that remain between my daughter and ###. I know it is my fault for allowing and not correcting the way my daughter treated him when she was younger. It has become a bigger issue and coming between ### and myself. I thought all was forgiven but Ive noticed that there is still hurt that lingers within them. I pray that you will enter their hearts and intervene in the situation. Give them the strength to forgive and rebuild a better step daughter/step father relationship. This is what I really want. This hurts me deeply. In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ let my prayer be adjusted according to the will of God. Lord, I need you, i thank you, i trust you, i love you. In Jesus Christ Name I pray Amen

We join you in bringing this heavy burden before our Father, and we thank you for your honesty and humility in acknowledging your part in what happened when your daughter was younger. It takes courage to confess this, and God honors a contrite heart. We hear your deep desire for healing between your daughter and her stepfather and for peace to be restored in your home and in your marriage, and we stand with you in prayer for this reconciliation.

The Lord calls us to forgiveness and to restoration where there has been hurt. As it is written, bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do in Colossians 3:13, and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you in Ephesians 4:32. Lingering hurt that was thought to be forgiven often shows that healing is still needed, and only God can fully heal the heart, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. We also remember the call for children to honor their parents, that you may live long in the land in Exodus 20:12, and for fathers and mothers not to provoke their children, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord in Ephesians 6:4. This stepfather and stepdaughter relationship is precious to God, and He desires unity in the family He has joined together through your marriage.

We encourage you to continue to walk in humility, to gently and lovingly guide your daughter toward taking responsibility for her part with respect and honor, and to encourage her stepfather to extend grace as Christ has extended grace to us. True reconciliation requires both truth and love, and it cannot be forced, but it can be nurtured through patient conversation, prayer together when possible, and a willingness to listen. Continue to cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you in 1 Peter 5:7, and trust that as you seek Him, He will work in their hearts in His timing.

We pray together now.

Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and lift up this mother, her daughter, and her husband to You. Lord, You see the hurt that still lingers between this stepfather and stepdaughter, and the pain it brings to this wife and mother. We ask You to enter their hearts and intervene with Your healing power. Soften any hardness, remove any bitterness, and give them both the strength to forgive fully as You have forgiven us. Help this mother to continue to speak truth in love and to model repentance and grace in her home. Help this daughter to grow in honor and respect, and help this stepfather to show the love and patience that reflects Your heart as a father. Restore, Lord, what has been broken and rebuild this relationship on a foundation of Your love, that this family may dwell together in unity and peace. Guard this marriage and let no division remain. We thank You that You hear us, we trust You to work according to Your perfect will, and we love You. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, Amen.

Be encouraged, for we know that in all things God works for good for those who love Him in Romans 8:28. Keep praying without ceasing, keep entrusting them to the Lord, and keep being a peacemaker in your home, for blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God in Matthew 5:9. We are trusting with you for God to bring healing and a stronger, more loving relationship between your daughter and her stepfather.

We can hear how much you love both your daughter and your husband, and how painful it is to see hurt still sitting between them. Carrying the sense that you should have stepped in differently years ago makes that weight even heavier, and we want you to know God sees both your love for them and your honest regret.

In blended families old patterns and hurts can linger longer than anyone expects. Even when everyone wants to forgive, the feelings underneath often take more time to catch up with the decision to move forward. It does not mean forgiveness failed, just that rebuilding trust and new ways of relating is a slower process that needs patience, clear boundaries and a willingness from each person to own their part. It is not yours alone to fix.

One gentle next step that often helps is to talk with each of them separately first, simply to listen without trying to solve everything at once. Ask what still feels tender for them and what a healthier stepfather stepdaughter connection might look like to them now. If they are willing, a pastor or trusted Christian counselor who understands blended families can help you all create that new shared space together.

Father we lift this mother, her daughter and her husband to You. Soften what is still sore, give each of them humility and courage to speak honestly and to forgive as You lead, and give this mother peace as she trusts You with what she cannot mend on her own. Guide them toward a steadier, kinder way of being family together. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your honest confession and heavy heart have been laid before the Lord, and He hears the cry of a penitent soul that desires forgiveness and peace in the household.

There is forgiveness with God, and it is a divine forgiveness. As it is written, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. When you tremble for fear and with a penitent heart desire forgiveness, remember that it is God Himself who forgives, and His forgiveness is surprising and complete. However sinful the past may have been, and whatever fault you bear for allowing what should have been corrected, there is forgiveness for you through Jesus Christ His Son, who died the Just for the unjust that He might bring us to God. This forgiveness is not only for the first moment of faith, but it is a continuous and eternal forgiveness, full and absolute, the record of debt nailed to the Cross.

And because we have so freely received such great forgiveness for great sin, we are called to copy the pattern set before us, even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. This is the joint work of mutual forgiveness which belongs to the household of faith. It is not a paltry thing to forgive, it is great minded and ennobling, and it reflects the love of Christ who forgave us lovingly and completely and does not afterwards accuse.

I pray that the Lord will enter the hearts of your daughter and her step father and work that healing which only He can give. Where hurt still lingers, may He soften what is hard, and give strength to forgive and to be forgiven. Pray that each one may first seek and know the forgiveness of God in Christ for themselves, for when the heart has received the mercy of God it becomes able to open its hands to forgive another. Do not demand that the rebuilding be swift, but commit it to the Lord with humility, patience, and gentle truth, asking Him to restore what has been wounded and to make the relationship what it ought to be in Him.

May the Lord grant you grace to confess freely where you have failed, to seek their forgiveness as well as His, and to trust His wise and good will to do what is best. He brings down the heart with labor that He may lift it up with mercy, and He will not withhold good from those who walk uprightly before Him.

We join you in prayer that according to His will He would grant repentance where needed, bestow forgiveness freely, and rebuild in love and honor that step father and step daughter bond for His glory. There is forgiveness now, at this moment, for all who turn to Christ in faith, and where God draws no limit, let us draw none in extending it to one another.
