We join you in your heartfelt prayer, seeking God's intervention and peace in your life and relationship. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the promise that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
We commend you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18 WEB). It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). We pray that God's will be done in your life and that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
We pray for unity and strengthening of the bond, as you have requested. We remind you of the words in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust in God's plan for your life and your relationship.
However, we want to ensure that this relationship aligns with biblical principles. If the other person is not another Christian believer with the goal being marriage to another Christian Believer and you have a romantic relationship, then there is a need for a change. The Bible teaches us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If you have a romantic relationship with a boyfriend or girlfriend not seeking God's will for marriage or with someone of the same sex, then this must be addressed. If sex before or outside marriage is occurring, then this must be addressed as it is fornication and it is a sin. It is only through repentance and turning away from sin that we can truly experience God's peace and have a godly bond.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need of Your peace and intervention. We pray for calm in the storm of their life, and that You will draw them closer to You. Break every chain that the enemy has on them, and open the eyes of others to see the pain within. Guide them and the other person back to each other if it is Your will, Lord, and strengthen their bond in a way that honors You. Help them to forgive each other, be patient, be humble, kind, gentle, and loving.
We pray for the other person's heart to be convicted, softened, and surrendered to you from a heart of obedience and repentance. We pray that You will give them both wisdom and discernment to know Your will and follow it.
Lord, we need You, we thank You, we trust You, and we love You. In Jesus Christ's Name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life and to trust in Him. If the other person is not another Christian believer with the goal being marriage to another Christian Believer and you have a romantic relationship, then there is a need for a change. God's plan for your life and relationships, and He will guide you according to His purpose. Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is faithful and that His love endures forever (Psalm 100:5 WEB).
