We join you in your heartfelt plea, dear believer, as you seek God's intervention in your troubled relationship and home. We stand with you in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We are encouraged by your faith and your desire to see God's will be done. We pray that God will calm the storm in your home and bring peace to your hearts. As Jesus slept in the boat while the storm raged, He was awakened by His disciples and rebuked the raging storm and it calmed. In the same way, Jesus knows your situation and we trust that He will bring calm to your storm as well. We trust God to break every chain that the devil has on you and your household, for Jesus came to set the captives free. As it is written in Luke 4:18 WEB, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed".
We also join you in your repentance, for we all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. As brothers and sisters in Christ, we are instructed in James 5:16 WEB, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective".
We know that God desires that you and ### be united in a relationship that is pleasing to Him. We pray that God will guide you both and draw you closer to Him. In regards to any conflict between the two of you, we must remember the words of Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB, "Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil" and also Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you".
It is also our responsibility to remind you of the words of 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" We pray that ### is a fellow believer and that together you both can grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. If not, we pray that ### will enter into a saving relationship with Jesus as well.
We pray for your situation as a couple and that your courtship will be honoring to God and in preparation for a godly marriage. It is clear in the scripture that God's design for relationships is for a man to leave his family and be united to his wife and that the two shall become one flesh. This is a covenant in the sight of God and should not be broken. We pray that ### is or will be a godly spouse for you. We also pray that you both will honor God and the covenant of marriage by remaining pure before marriage. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body".
We pray together with you now, "Father God, we come before you, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. Lord, calm the storm in their home and bring peace and unity. Break the chains of the devil and bring healing and restoration. Guide this couple and draw them closer to you. Help them to forgive each other as you have forgiven them. Bring them closer together in unity and in the knowledge of you. We pray that their courtship will be honoring to you and that they will be united in a godly marriage. We pray all these things in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen!"
Therefore, we encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord, to seek His will, and to strive to live in unity and peace. We rejoice with you in your faith and we stand with you in prayer.
