James

Humble Servant of All
1. for my mother, she is diabetic and having fungal infection in the lungs.
2. for my father's eyesight to improve, headache, urinary tract problems, feet swelling, blood pressure problems to go away and for good health.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents in prayer, trusting in His healing power and mercy. The Bible reminds us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise as we intercede for your mother and father.

Father God, we ask for Your divine healing touch upon this mother who is battling ### and a ### in her ###. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We pray that You would strengthen her body, regulate her ### levels, and completely eradicate this ### from her ###. Give her the energy and vitality she needs to carry out her daily tasks, and surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5).

For this father, Lord, we ask for Your restorative power to be at work in his body. We pray for his ### to improve, that You would touch his ### and restore clarity and strength to his ###. Ease the ### that plague him, Lord, and bring relief to his ###. We ask that You would reduce the ### in his ### and regulate his ###. Father, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and so we ask for complete healing in every area of his health.

We also recognize, Lord, that our physical health is often connected to our spiritual well-being. We pray that both of these parents would draw near to You, seeking Your face and Your will for their lives. If there are areas where they need to make changes in their lifestyle, diet, or habits to honor You with their bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), we ask that You would reveal those to them and give them the strength to obey.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that has taken hold in their bodies. We command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, "But if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you" (Romans 8:11). We declare life and health over their bodies, trusting in Your power to restore and renew.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord on behalf of your parents, bringing their needs before Him in faith. Remember the words of Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." God is faithful, and His promises are true. Keep trusting in Him, even when the circumstances seem difficult.

Heavenly Father, we also want to take a moment to acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We come to You in the name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer, believing that You hear our prayers and will answer according to Your perfect will.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for trusting us to pray with you about your parents. It’s a lot to carry when both mom and dad are struggling at once, and we want you to know you’re not alone in this. We’re lifting them before the Lord today, your mother’s diabetes and the infection in her lungs, and your father’s eyesight, headaches, urinary tract trouble, swollen feet, blood pressure, and overall health.

Because several of your father’s symptoms could benefit from a doctor’s attention, especially the swelling and blood pressure, we hope he’s already been seen, and if anything changes or worsens, please don’t delay a follow-up. In the meantime, we pray with expectancy.

Lord Jesus, we bring this mother before You. Quiet her body, clear her lungs, and give her doctors sharp wisdom to manage her diabetes well. For this father, we ask for better vision, relief from headaches, healing in his urinary system, and that the swelling in his feet subsides. Stabilize his blood pressure and restore his health day by day. Surround this whole family with Your peace, especially the one writing us, and sustain their courage while they watch and wait. We entrust these dear parents to Your care, believing that You know every detail. In Your name, Amen.

The ailments you describe are many, and it is right to bring them before the Throne of Grace. Yet while we plead for the temporary relief of these dear bodies, we must never lose sight of the one Great Physician and the healing that is in Him alone. There grows no healing herb but the one plant of renown; there is one sacred Fountain opened on Calvary, and one hand that, touching, restores. For your mother and father, the first and greatest need is that the Sun of Righteousness should rise upon them with healing in His wings, even the pardon that brings peace to the soul. Oftentimes the curing of the body is much helped by the healing of the spirit. When Jesus dealt with the palsied man, He linked the teaching with the healing, and spoke forgiveness before He gave strength. Seek that first.

Consider that disease, in the economy of grace, is meant to make us whole by driving us to the Physician. Those who deem themselves whole will not have Christ. It is a broken heart that He binds up, and the multiplied cares where disappointment has crushed the spirits are the very cases He attends to. Do not let your parents merely groan under these bodily pains while remaining strangers to the feeling of their deeper soul-sickness. The great ill is not the fungus, the swelling, or the failing sight, but a heart that has not yet been made anew by Divine Grace. If they, and you on their behalf, will seek the leaves of that tree which are for the healing of the nations, there is an abundance of healing power. Jesus is the Tree of Life, and even the little things about Him, the leaves as it were, are full of virtue.

Therefore, plead the promise that He binds up the broken in heart. Lay hold of Christ by faith for their bodies, for He Himself bore our sicknesses. Yet do not make the mistake of seeking health before service, or of seeking it without Himself. He must begin with them before they can truly minister or even enjoy restored health for His glory. That cool hand of the Incarnate God, laid upon the fevered flesh, brings a health that flows from His own life. If they can be quite sure that in Christ they have eternal health and a resurrection to perfect wholeness, the sickness of an hour loses its terror. We are on our way to that land where the inhabitant shall no more say, "I am sick." Pray earnestly, then, but let this be the chief petition: that they would take the hearing of the gospel with heed, so that this trial might lead to the healing of their souls, and then to such a measure of bodily restoration as seems good to Him whose healing virtue never abates.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Honor your father and your mother, as God commanded, for this holds the promise of long life upon the earth. Your care for their health is nothing less than obedience to that holy commandment, and by bringing them before the Lord in prayer you do not make void the word of God but fulfill it.

Let your prayers be steady, with one accord, as the disciples were when they gathered in the upper room and continued in prayer, watchful and of one soul. I myself am full of affection for you in this trial, like a father who cannot cease from weeping. I burn with grief for your parents’ pains as Paul travailed for his children until Christ be formed in them. When the body weakens and sickness takes hold, the cry of the heart is as sharp as a woman in childbirth, but do not lose faith.

Remember that affliction comes not by chance or human sin alone, but by the wise dispensation of God, who works all things for good. Our Lord Himself, before His hour had fully come, honored His mother and went with her to Capernaum, not refusing her request even when He said, “Woman, what have I to do with thee?” How much more, then, will He incline His ear to your supplications for the mother who bore you and the father whose body is distressed?

Pray for healing, for relief from the fungal infection, for sight restored, for head and urinary tract, for the swelling in the feet and the unruly blood pressure. Yet hold all things with a trust that, for those who love God, to depart and be with Christ is far better. Still, while they remain in this life, entreat the Lord who worked miracles that they may be restored, so that the meek, even in this earth of trial, may taste the promised inheritance of health and peace. Let your filial love be not in word only but in fervent, persevering prayer, and may the God of all comfort be their physician.

I am lifting your mother and father before the Lord with you. It is heavy to see those we love suffer under so many health struggles. Yet we come with confidence, not by anything we have done, but through the blood of Jesus Christ. His blood alone makes atonement and carries the power to cleanse and restore. Just as the consecrating blood was once placed on the ear, the thumb, and the foot, we can present your parents’ bodies to God in the same spirit. Ask Him to touch every ailing part with His life-giving power: your mother’s lungs and her blood sugar levels, your father’s eyesight, the headaches, the urinary tract, those swollen feet, and the blood pressure that won’t stay steady. Nothing is beyond the reach of the blood that purchased eternal redemption for us.

Think of the servant heart of our Lord on the night He washed the disciples’ feet. No part of the body is beneath His tender care, not feet that swell and ache, not eyes that dim, not a system that struggles. He knew our frame and showed us to take the lowest place, serving and bearing one another’s burdens. So bring these ailments to Him again and again, not as a pressured duty but as a child would run to a loving father. Cast every care about their health onto Him, because He cares for you and for them.

God’s Word also reveals His concern for our physical well-being, often giving instruction that protects against disease. While we pray for supernatural healing, we can also trust that walking in wisdom and honoring the way He made our bodies can work together for their good. I join you in asking for a complete turn, that the fungal infection clears, the diabetes is managed, your father’s eyes brighten, the headaches lift, the urinary problems resolve, the feet stop swelling, and his blood pressure stabilizes. Consecrate each symptom to the Lord and let the peace of Christ, sealed by His own blood, guard your heart as you entrust them both to Him.
