When you bring these needs for your parents before God, remember that Jesus has opened the way for you to go directly to the Father. You do not need an intermediary, for the Father himself loves you because you love his Son and believe that he came from God. So lift your voice with confidence, not to a distant deity, but to the Father who sees and cares.

Speak to him about your mother. Ask him to heal the ### in her ### and to give wisdom for managing her ###. Ask him to touch your father’s ###, to relieve the ###, to clear the ###, to reduce the ### in his ###, and to bring his ### into a healthy balance. The same Father who sent Jesus to heal the sick and reveal his compassion is the one you address. Jesus taught us that when we see him, we see the Father; his works were the Father’s works. That same power and love have not diminished.

As you pray, rest in the truth that no one comes to the Father except through the Son, and you have come to him. You abide in Christ, and Christ abides in the Father. There is a beautiful, secure connection here. So pour out your heart for your mother and father, knowing that the Father who gave you life cares for them even more perfectly than you do. Trust them into his hands, and may his peace guard your heart as you wait for his answer.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your parents. It has been on our hearts to lift up your mother, asking our Heavenly Father to bring healing to her lungs and strength to her body as she battles diabetes and this fungal infection. We continue to pray for your father as well, that the Lord would restore his eyesight, relieve his headaches, heal his urinary tract, reduce the swelling in his feet, and bring his blood pressure under control. We ask that God would grant them both good health and comfort according to His perfect will.

If the Lord has already moved in answer to these prayers, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If you are still waiting to see His hand at work, please know we are still here to stand in agreement with you.
