James

Humble Servant of All
1. for my mother, she is diabetic and having fungal infection in the lungs.
2. for my father's eyesight to improve, headache, urinary tract problems, feet swelling, blood pressure problems to go away and for good health.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents in prayer, asking for His healing touch and divine intervention. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand in faith, believing that God hears our prayers and is able to restore health and strength.

Father God, we lift up this mother who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would bring healing to her body. We pray that You would regulate her blood sugar levels and strengthen her immune system to fight off this infection. We declare Your promise in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We trust in Your healing power, Lord, and ask that You would restore her to full health.

We also bring before You this father who is struggling with his eyesight, headaches, urinary tract problems, feet swelling, and blood pressure issues. Lord, we ask that You would touch his eyes and restore his sight. We pray that the headaches would cease and that his urinary tract would be healed. We ask that the swelling in his feet would go down and that his blood pressure would stabilize. We declare Your word in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We trust in Your promise of healing and restoration, Lord.

We must also address the importance of seeking medical attention and following the advice of healthcare professionals. While we pray for divine healing, we also recognize that God works through doctors and medicine. We encourage this family to continue seeking medical care and to trust in God’s provision through these means.

Additionally, we want to gently remind this family of the importance of placing their trust in Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life. John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If they have not already, we encourage them to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for He alone can provide true healing and salvation.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for this family as they navigate these health challenges. We ask that You would provide them with peace and comfort, knowing that You are in control. We pray that they would draw closer to You through this trial and that their faith would be strengthened. We declare Your word in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

We stand in faith, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. We trust in Your timing and Your perfect will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We hear the deep concern in your words as you carry these heavy health needs for both your mother and father. Watching the people who raised you struggle with one thing after another is draining in a way words often can’t capture, and we’re grateful you reached out to share this weight.

When multiple symptoms pile up, your dad’s eyesight, headaches, urinary troubles, swelling, and blood pressure all at once, and your mother faces a serious lung infection on top of her diabetes, it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. Chronic illness has a way of touching the whole family, not just the person in the hospital bed. Be gentle with yourself as you walk alongside them; your steadiness matters, but you don’t have to be strong every minute.

Please make sure both of them are seen by doctors they trust. A fungal lung infection in someone with diabetes needs careful medical attention, and your father’s swelling and pressure issues shouldn’t wait either. Good medicine and prayer walk hand in hand, and neither replaces the other.

We also want you to know you’re not carrying this alone. The same church body that prays with you on this site can be a tangible help, sometimes a meal, a ride to an appointment, or just a friend sitting in the waiting room loosens the grip of anxiety. Let people in where you can.

We’re praying now:

Lord Jesus, we lift this family to you. Bring healing to this mother’s lungs, stability to her diabetes, and wisdom to her doctors. Touch this father’s body, calm his blood pressure, ease his headaches, restore his eyesight, and relieve the swelling and urinary troubles. Give both parents tangible signs of your care. And hold this son or daughter close: grant them clearheadedness for decisions, deep peace in the waiting, and a sense of your nearness even on hard days. We trust you with the outcome, and we ask all of this in your name, Jesus. Amen.

The great ill you describe in your father’s body and your mother’s lungs is a testimony to the brokenness that sin has wrought upon all flesh. Yet it is precisely for such wounds that the Great Physician has come, for Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet and the knife. The work of Jesus is not so much to point out disease as to indicate and to apply the remedy. He is able to heal, and there are times when the power to save is more than usually manifest, acceptable days, days of salvation.

Observe that the least thing about Christ is healing. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, not only the fruit, but the leaves, the little things, the hem of His garment, the whisper of His name. Every promise is a leaf; every drop of His blood is a leaf; every word of His intercession is a leaf. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits, and make the nature other than it was before. For your father’s swelling feet and troubled sight, for your mother’s labored breath and raging infection, there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Let them but touch Him by faith, and virtue will flow out.

Remember, however, that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. The inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He first declared, Son, be of good cheer; thy sins are forgiven thee. Pardon and healing were one! Pray earnestly, therefore, not only for the removal of these bodily pains, but that the Sun of Righteousness would arise upon them with healing in His wings, driving out every shadow of sin and fear. How shall they reckon themselves beloved children if the Father is still held before them only as Judge? It is the Spirit of adoption that teaches us to cry, Abba, Father, and this cry is better music than cherubim or seraphim can reach.

Let your parents look to the Father as He is viewed aright: the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the object of our gratitude, not of our dread. Jesus has said, He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father, and the Father Himself loveth you. He is the orphan’s Father, the helper of the helpless. Does your mother feel the suffocating weight of her illness? Is your father bowed down by his manifold infirmities? Let them cast themselves upon Him, for in Him the fatherless findeth mercy. I will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. He will prove a better Father than the best of earthly fathers could ever be. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Thy sight.

Healing must come before serving, and it comes when the Lord takes the sufferer by the hand and lifts her up. That contact is everything. Oh, the glorious doctrine of the Incarnation! There is healing in it. A broken heart for sin, a real saving work of God upon the soul, this is the great need. In vain your presumption if you fancy yourselves safe without a real healing from His hand. Yonder in Heaven, those faces which look so bright and comely, fresher than new born babes, owe their freshness to these healing leaves! God grant that your dear father and mother, and you also, may know this pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus, for “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”
