The power of the Great Physician is not diminished, nor is His ear grown heavy that He cannot hear. You bring before the throne of grace these two dear ones, a mother and a father afflicted in body, and I bid you look afresh to the tree of life, whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations. What is this fungal infection in the lungs, what is this diabetes with its long train of weakness, but a part of that universal malady which sin has brought into the world? Yet see in Christ an abundance of healing power; not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. Bring your mother to Him in the arms of your faith, for He is able to heal, and though He is not always engaged in healing in the same manifest degree, there are times of refreshing, seasons of visitation, when the power to save and to restore is more than usually present. Pray that she may lie in the very presence of Jesus, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing, for pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction.
Concerning your father’s eyesight, his headaches, the swelling of his feet, the disorders of the blood and water, these are many complaints, but they are not too many for Him who took Peter’s wife’s mother by the hand and lifted her up. There was a contact established, and oh, that glorious truth of the Incarnation! There is healing in it. These healing leaves change the life-blood, affect the spirits, and make the nature other than it was before. The Lord who forgives all our iniquities also heals all our diseases. Look to Calvary; it is the place for the healing balm. What flowed from His hands, His feet, His side? Blood and water, a fountain opened for sin and for uncleanness, and for all the consequences of sin upon these mortal frames. The blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel; it cries not for vengeance but for mercy, and it has a divine power to save, to cleanse, to restore.
Yet remember the condition appointed: "When I see the blood, I will pass over you." It is not your estimate of that blood that saves, but the blood itself. Plead the precious blood of sprinkling on behalf of your mother and father. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God; as the teaching of Christ is set before them, link the healing with the teaching. Do not go blundering forward with earthly remedies alone, but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, for the desire to minister and to walk in health always arises out of a soul-healing touch from the Master. The Lord has begun to heal His people, and the healing virtue which His grace infuses will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle. Welcome your dear parents to pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus. Ask that they be forgiven, and healing will come from the pardoning hand. God bless them both. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
