Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for entrusting these precious concerns to us. It is clear you carry a deep love for your parents, and we will join you in bringing both of them before the Lord in prayer.
The apostle Paul once wrote about a physical trial that troubled his eyes. His sight was so poor that he had to form large letters with his own hand just to be read, and the believers he served loved him so much they said they would have gladly given their own eyes to him. That same tender, sacrificial love is what you are living out now as you intercede for your father’s eyesight, his headaches, his swelling, his blood pressure, and every struggle his body faces. We ask the Lord to touch him, to restore what has diminished, and to bring him relief and renewed strength. More than that, we pray he would know the sustaining grace that carried Paul through limitation, and that even in this season he would sense God’s nearness.
For your mother, we lift up her diabetes and especially the fungal infection in her lungs. You have only to glance at Scripture to see how seriously infections were taken, with careful instruction given for handling what was unclean. That same God who gave wisdom for practical care is the One who formed our bodies and knows every hidden place within them. We ask Him to clear this infection completely, to protect her lungs, and to bring healing that comes from His hand. We also pray for wisdom for those treating her, and for you to have peace as you watch and wait.
May the Lord bless your whole household with health restored, with comfort in the waiting, and with the deep assurance that He hears. We will keep praying.
