James

Humble Servant of All
1. for my mother, she is diabetic and having fungal infection in the lungs.
2. for my father's eyesight to improve, headache, urinary tract problems, feet swelling, blood pressure problems to go away and for good health.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents in prayer, asking for His healing touch and divine intervention. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise, believing that God hears our prayers and is able to restore health and strength.

Father in Heaven, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this mother who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We pray that You would cleanse her lungs, eradicate the infection, and regulate her blood sugar levels. Give her the strength and endurance to fight this battle, and grant wisdom to her doctors as they treat her. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5).

For this father, we pray for Your restoration and healing. Lord, we ask that You would improve his eyesight, relieve his headaches, and heal his urinary tract. We pray that the swelling in his feet would subside and that his blood pressure would stabilize. Father, we know that You are a God who sees and cares for every detail of our lives. We trust in Your promise from Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord." We declare that You are restoring his health even now.

We also want to gently remind you that our ultimate healing comes through Jesus Christ, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17). It is in His name that we have access to the Father, and it is through faith in Him that we receive salvation and healing. If you or your parents have not yet placed your trust in Jesus, we encourage you to do so. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, and it is the first step toward true wholeness.

Lord, we also pray for peace and comfort for this family as they navigate these health challenges. May they feel Your presence surrounding them, giving them hope and strength. We ask that You would provide them with the resources they need, whether it be financial provision, emotional support, or wisdom for medical decisions. We trust in Your provision, knowing that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14).

In all things, we surrender this family into Your hands, believing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We declare that Your will be done in their lives, and we thank You for the healing that is already on its way. We pray all these things in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear the love you have for your parents, and we join you in carrying these concerns to the Lord. It’s clear you’re shouldering a lot at once, and that weight can feel especially heavy when both Mom and Dad are struggling. You are not alone in this.

Because your father’s symptoms, swollen feet, blood pressure issues, urinary problems, and headaches, often travel together, it may help to gently ask if he’s had a recent checkup or if there’s something he’s been putting off. We wouldn’t want an underlying condition to be overlooked. The same tender nudge might be meaningful for your mother if her fungal lung infection and diabetes aren’t already under close medical care. Encouraging them to stay connected with their doctors isn’t a lack of faith; it’s a way of stewarding the help God provides.

Watching chronic illness unfold in both parents can quietly drain you, too. It’s okay to acknowledge that. In our own congregation we’ve seen how ongoing health battles can disrupt not just the person in pain but everyone who loves them. If there’s a trusted friend, a small group, or a prayer team from your church you can lean into right now, we’d urge you to let them in. Even a brief conversation can lighten the load and keep you from carrying everything alone.

Lord, we lift this mother to You, guard her lungs, steady her blood sugar, and give wisdom to those treating her. We bring her husband before You: relieve the swelling, ease the headaches, bring clarity to his vision, and calm what’s going on in his body. Surround this family with Your peace when answers feel slow. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The report of your mother's affliction reaches into the heart, for a fungal infection in the lungs is a deep and troubling malady. Yet there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His healing virtue can change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one, and the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. Seek that pardoning hand, and healing will come.

For your father's eyesight, his headache, the swelling of his feet, the troubles of the urinary tract, and the disordered blood, overwhelming evidence that our bodies cry out for the remedy that is in Christ. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. The healing power of our Master is such that if these ailments seem overwhelming, He is able to heal. The Lord has begun to heal His people, and that healing virtue will work health and cure till we are without spot or wrinkle. Let them both look to the great conduit Head, from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. A real saving work is the work of God, and God alone. O you who are sick, ask to be forgiven, and healing will come from His hand. Healing must come before we can rise to serve, but when His touch lifts them up, they shall minister to Him in gratitude from their sickbeds. God bless you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for your parents’ health pierces the heart. When sickness settles in the body, the soul is shaken, and we struggle to understand. Did the disciples not also grieve when they heard of their Master’s death? They knew it was to happen, yet they did not grasp the speed of the release, the countless blessings that would burst forth from what seemed only sorrow. So it is with every trial that falls under the dispensation of God. Do not be grieved as those who have no hope. Your mother’s lung, your father’s frame, these are not beyond the healing treatment of the Great Physician. Even when physicians seem to despair, do we not beseech them to neglect us not, to keep applying every remedy until our final breath?

We must not cease from this healing treatment ourselves. A tree may endure ten strokes and seem unmoved, then fall suddenly by a single blow. Yet it was not the last stroke alone, but all that went before it, which finally brought it down. So it is with prayer and the hearing of the Word. Perhaps you have prayed ten times and seen no fruit. You remain insensible to a visible change. Yet something is gained. The root is being weakened; the disorder reduced. Afterwards, all at once, the tree of sickness falls and abundant fruit of health appears. So I am fully persuaded that your eager desire and love for your parents, this persistent entreaty, shall not fail of its effect. God forbid! May you yet see them restored to health.

Look higher still. What if the release from these bodily pains is not the only mercy? For God’s mercy is not limited to the mere removal of a threatening punishment. That would be a small thing. His grace was exceeding abundant. He does not merely release us from the punishment of sickness, but from that sickness He works blessings beyond mercy itself, making us righteous, sons, and heirs. The very affliction that now makes you grieve can become the stroke that detaches them from this world and binds them closer to Christ. For to depart and be with Christ is very far better. He continually sends the Comforter in the midst of these afflictions, to teach them what they could never learn in ease. These things may not be clear now, but He is a clear teacher.

Yet we also must contribute something. What is that? Only this: with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus, we have believed that He is able to save us. So do not think lightly of the Word you hear now. Bring forth this faith. Cling earnestly to your Master, for the gifts He bestows come not merely from mercy, but from an excessive and affectionate love. Lay hold of this hope, and conduct yourselves as those who are being treated by the sharp, saving sword of the Spirit, until you all, being made whole, obtain the everlasting blessings.

It is deeply moving that you have brought your parents before the Lord with such care. The anguish you feel over your mother’s diabetes and the fungal infection in her lungs, and over your father’s failing eyesight, his headaches, the urinary troubles, the swelling in his feet, and his blood pressure, is not hidden from the Father. He knows every breath they take and every ache they bear.

Remember that the life of the flesh is in the blood, and God has always held blood in sacred regard. That truth finds its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus, who did not enter a holy place with the blood of animals but with His own blood, obtaining an eternal redemption for us. His blood was shed once and for all to cover not only our sin but also to secure every promise of restoration. Because He shed His blood, we can approach the Father with confidence, not with empty hands but with the price already paid. There is no remission without the shedding of blood, and that blood speaks a better word over your parents’ bodies than any diagnosis or symptom.

Your request also echoes the ancient command to honor father and mother, which carries the promise that their days may be long. You are doing that now by lifting them up in intercession. Yet the ultimate healing, whether here or in glory, rests not on our performance but on Christ’s finished work. He is the true bread from heaven, giving life to the world. No one can come to Him unless the Father draws them, and I pray the Father draws your parents even closer through this trial, that they may know the One who gave His flesh for the life of the world.

The spiritual battle over health is real. Just as the great high priest faced warfare until His sweat became like drops of blood, so we wrestle not against flesh and blood. But we do not fight alone. The Father sent the Son to destroy the works of the enemy, and He has promised to be a Father to us, and we His sons and daughters. He does not leave us as orphans in our pain. His heart is enlarged toward you; ask Him to enlarge your hearts to receive His peace, even in this narrow place of sickness.

I urge you not to place your hope merely in the restoration of physical health, though we boldly ask for it. Our only access to the Father is through Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Him. Trust that the same Father who sees your parents formed them in the womb and knows every cell. If you have seen Jesus in His Word and in the mercy of this day, you have seen the Father’s heart.

Let us join in that cry:

Father, we come not in our own merit but through the blood of Your Son, which was poured out for us. We ask for Your healing hand upon this mother. Touch her lungs, clear the infection, regulate her blood sugar in ways that doctors cannot. Strengthen her body. For this father, we ask that You restore his eyesight, calm the headaches, heal the urinary tract, reduce the swelling, and bring his blood pressure into proper balance. Grant them both full, vibrant health. But more than that, may they taste and see that You are good. Through these trials, draw them to the One who is the resurrection and the life. May they know the love of the Father through the Son, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds. We release them to You, the faithful Creator, knowing that the blood of Jesus speaks of a covenant that can never be broken. Amen.
