James

Humble Servant of All
1. for my mother, she is diabetic and having fungal infection in the lungs.
2. for my father's eyesight to improve, headache, urinary tract problems, feet swelling, blood pressure problems to go away and for good health.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents in prayer, asking for His healing touch and divine intervention. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise as we pray for your mother and father.

Father God, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this mother who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs. Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You. We pray that You would cleanse her lungs, restore her health, and strengthen her body. Help her to manage her diabetes according to Your will, and give her the discipline and wisdom to care for her body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We rebuke this infection in the name of Jesus and command it to leave her body. We declare healing and restoration over her lungs, and we trust in Your mercy and grace.

For this father, Lord, we pray for the restoration of his eyesight. We ask that You would touch his eyes and remove any ailment causing his vision to falter. We pray for relief from his headaches, that You would ease his pain and bring comfort to his mind. Father, we also lift up his urinary tract, feet swelling, and blood pressure issues. We ask that You would heal each of these areas, bringing balance and health to his body. Your Word says in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise for him today.

Lord, we also ask that You would give this family peace and patience as they wait on You. Help them to trust in Your timing and to lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that they would draw closer to You through this trial, growing in faith and dependence on Your goodness.

We also encourage this family to seek godly wisdom in medical care, to follow the advice of healthcare professionals, and to use this time to glorify God in all things. May they find comfort in Your Word and strength in Your presence.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray for complete healing, restoration, and wholeness for both parents. We declare that by His stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your unfailing love and power. Amen.

We’ve been sitting with this, and our hearts genuinely go out to you.
Carrying concern for both parents at once, watching your mom fight a lung infection on top of diabetes, and your dad face so many physical burdens at the same time, is a heavy thing. You named your mother’s condition first, and that kind of lung infection in someone diabetic deserves careful medical attention. We simply want to say: please make sure her doctors stay closely involved, because that combination can shift quickly.

With your dad, the swelling in his feet and the high blood pressure really stand out to us. Those are signals his body is working under strain, and we gently encourage you to have him keep a good medical team in the loop too. These things matter, and God often works through the wisdom of doctors and nurses.

It can feel overwhelming tracking so many symptoms for two people you love. Sometimes the kindest step is simply reminding yourself that you don’t have to fix this all alone. When your mind starts spinning through the whole list, try to anchor yourself quietly to the one most urgent need right in front of you that day, and let the rest rest.

We’re praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, we lift this family to You. Please bring healing to this mother’s lungs and stabilize her body as she battles infection alongside diabetes. Strengthen this father, ease his headaches, calm his blood pressure, protect his eyesight, relieve the swelling, and bring his whole system into better balance. Give the doctors clear insight and steady hands. And would You lift the weight off the one who wrote to us, give them moments of peace in the middle of the worry, and surround them with practical help that shows up at just the right time. Amen.

The healing leaves from the tree of life have been given for the healing of the nations, and every single leaf is full of virtue. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and even the least thing about Him is for the mending of our maladies. It has pleased the Lord to put healing and pardon in blessed union, so that when the Sun of Righteousness arises, He comes with healing in His wings.

Your dear mother’s trial and your father’s many afflictions are not hidden from the eyes of Him who hears the cry of the wretched. Let your prayer arise out of the low dungeon, for a true prayer from one who is near unto the gates of death is a prevailing prayer. Even when the prayer itself seems to reel to and fro because the mind is at its wit’s end, God hears it. He was not a long while before He answered the cry of men brought low.

Plead with the Most High. Spread the case before Him with all the arguments your heart can muster. Imitate Jacob’s humility of spirit, and lean not on any sense of merit. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, not for the pointing of a hard finger. Yet remember, unanswered prayer may sometimes be a chastisement for sin or an admonition; let every heart search itself. Still, mighty prayer will prevail if it has but time. The church must pray if she would see the healing power, and we have prayed. Cry to Him in the daytime and in the night, and expect that He will be very pitiful. The power of the Lord is present to heal, and when the power to heal is present, the patient is very soon present too.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I receive your earnest request for your parents' health with a fatherly heart, for what son or daughter does not ache when those who gave them life are borne down by sickness? The Lord permits these afflictions not out of cruelty but from a deep mercy, to detach us from the love of this fleeting world and draw our souls towards the true health that never fades.

For your mother, troubled by diabetes and a fungal infection in the lungs, I urge you first to seek the aid of physicians, whom God in His providence has given to us as instruments of healing. Yet let her also look to the ordering of her life. Often our sicknesses are fed by what we take into the body. A sufficiency is both nourishment and health; excess, however pleasant at the moment, becomes a slow poison, bringing on disease and a heavy burden. Let her practice a sober restraint, not as a harsh rule but as a sacrifice of love to God, who may use this very discipline to restore strength to her frame. Do not despise the body’s true needs, but neither pamper it to its own ruin.

For your father, whose eyes, head, and limbs cry out with many pains, do not lose heart. Call upon the merciful Physician of our souls and bodies. Remember how the apostle Timothy, that faithful teacher, was not exempt from frequent infirmities, and yet the Apostle Paul did not simply command a miracle but advised him to use a little wine for his stomach’s sake. So use the remedies of this world with thanksgiving, but lean all your weight upon the Lord. These swollen feet and troubling pressures are a sermon without words, reminding us that we have here no lasting city. The outer man is decaying, but the inner man can be renewed day by day.

Bring your parents constantly before the Lord in the prayers of the Church, and do not neglect to carry them to the holy Mysteries, for the Blood of the New Covenant was shed for the remission of sins and the healing of our whole nature. Let their bodily trials become a ladder by which they climb nearer to God, learning to trust not in uncertain health but in His sure mercy. The true solution to the riddle of suffering is not endless questioning but a faith that knows God orders all things with righteousness and love. Persevere in this faith, and may the Lord, who with a look lifted the fallen Peter into a flood of healing tears, turn His gaze upon your household and grant, according to His will, refreshment of body and salvation of soul.

Your burden for your mother and father is evident, and it is right to bring these needs to God in prayer. Healing remains a mystery in many ways. Scripture shows that Jesus healed instantly at times, with a word or a touch. On other occasions, as with the blind man at Bethsaida, restoration came in stages. I do not know why some receive a sudden deliverance while others walk a slow road of recovery. But any movement toward wholeness, whether through a doctor’s care, the body’s own God-given processes, or a quiet strengthening of the mind and emotions, is still the hand of God at work.

For your mother, that fungal infection and diabetes weigh heavily. Do not think this is a mark of judgment; the disciples once asked about a man born blind, and Jesus made clear that neither the man nor his parents had caused it. Sickness is part of a fallen world, and God often uses these trials to display his works in ways we may not grasp until later. Keep asking for her healing, but also remember that a gradual mending is no less divine than a dramatic one. The body fights infection through mechanisms God designed, and medical treatment can cooperate with that design.

Your father’s list of struggles, eyesight, headaches, urinary issues, swelling, blood pressure, shows a man under great physical strain. Again, I lift all of this to the Lord. The relationship between soul and body runs deep. As we learn more about the human frame, it becomes clear that spiritual well-being and emotional peace can affect physical health. Attitudes, bitterness, or inner turmoil often change the body’s chemistry. So while you pray for his body, pray also for his heart. Ask that his soul would prosper in the knowledge of Christ, and as that happens, it may bring added strength to his frame. This is not a rigid formula, but a wise pattern.

Honoring your parents in this season means persisting in care and intercession. The commandment to obey and honor them carries a promise, and for an adult child, that honor expresses itself in advocacy and compassion. Do not forget the hope that transcends generations. Sometimes children absorb the hurts and consequences of their parents’ choices, but in Christ there is always a way out of any cycle of brokenness. The gospel rewrites our story, healing wounds both visible and hidden.

And yes, God cares about practical stewardship of the body. He gave Israel health codes and cleanliness laws because he is interested in our physical state. It would not be unfaithful to gently explore whether diet, rest, or other habits might support your parents’ healing. A body fed nothing but junk cannot be expected to fight well. Speak truth in love, and let your own diligence in honoring them show the way.

Above all, rest in this: the same Jesus who touched eyes and drove out fevers holds your mother and father in his sight. He may heal them fully on this side of eternity, or he may grant a measure of relief while using their journey to deepen everyone’s trust in him. I join you in asking for their health to be restored, for wisdom for all who treat them, and for their souls to be anchored in the peace that surpasses understanding. Keep praying. Keep trusting. The God who created the body is not far from it, and no medical chart lies beyond his reach.
