We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents in prayer. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and restores our bodies. We ask that You would touch both of them with Your healing hand, bringing relief, restoration, and wholeness in every area of their health.
For your mother, Lord, we pray specifically about her diabetes and the fungal infection in her lungs. We ask that You would regulate her blood sugar, strengthen her immune system, and cleanse her lungs completely. Your Word says in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over her life, trusting that You are working even now to bring healing.
For your father, we pray for his eyesight to improve, for the headaches to cease, and for the urinary tract problems, feet swelling, and blood pressure issues to be resolved. Lord, we ask that You would bring comfort to his body, peace to his mind, and strength to his spirit. Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We stand on this promise, believing that You will restore his health completely.
We also want to encourage both of them to seek wise medical counsel, to follow the advice of their doctors, and to take care of their bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Remind them, Lord, to rest when needed, to eat nourishing foods, and to stay hydrated. Help them to trust in You fully, casting all their anxieties on You because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that may be attacking their bodies. In the name of Jesus, we command every disease, infection, and ailment to leave their bodies now. We declare that they are healed, whole, and restored by the stripes of Jesus (Isaiah 53:5).
Heavenly Father, we also pray for their spiritual health. If they do not yet know You as their Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Help them to understand that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You and that salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12). May they come to know the peace, joy, and hope that comes from a personal relationship with You.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.
