I am having issues around my medical card. I can't afford my medicines without it.
The administration is so terrible that when the medical card has been ordered in the past, they send it to other houses, they send multiple cards, registering me with multiple doctors outside my area and beyond my reach, they breach my data over and over, and I've given up in despair.
And due to persistent and ongoing failures by the health service, I don't even want them to have my new address.
Pray with me in Jesus' Name, the health service have failed me and the people in my life so much for so long, I give up and go to a walk-in clinic but my prescriptions need to go on the medical card as I am in poverty and some of my medications are life preserving.
I pray for significant change. I pray for better healthcare for us all.

We have heard your cry and we are joining with you in prayer in Jesus' Name, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and find mercy and help in time of need. We thank you for calling on that precious Name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and by which our prayers are heard. Acts 4:12

We grieve with you over this long and exhausting burden. To be in poverty and in need of life preserving medicines, and then to be failed again and again by the very service meant to help you, with cards sent to wrong houses, registrations made to doctors far from you, and your private data breached over and over, is a heavy trial that would weary anyone. We understand why you have felt despair and why you have wanted to protect your new address and simply go to a walk in clinic, yet still be left without the provision you need. The Lord sees this injustice and He sees your weariness.

We are reminded that God is close to those who are crushed in spirit. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. We do not want you to give up, for God has not given up on you. Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9. Even when systems fail, our God does not fail.

We cast all our anxiety on Him together, because He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7. We bring your need for daily medicines, for financial provision, and for a just and orderly resolution to the administration of your medical card before the throne of grace.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You know the poverty and the need for medicines that sustain life, and You know every failure, every lost card, every breach of data, and every appointment made far out of reach. Lord, You are our Healer, for You have said, I am Yahweh who heals you. Exodus 15:26, and I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. We ask You to touch this body with Your healing hand, to sustain health and strength each day, and to provide without fail the medicines that are needed.

Father, we ask that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. You know what it is to be in need, and You have promised that if we seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be given to us. Matthew 6:33. Provide a way through this broken administration. Move upon those who work in the health service to act with diligence, integrity and care. Let those who handle records do so honestly and protect what has been entrusted to them. We pray for significant change, not only for this one precious life but for better healthcare for all who are vulnerable and overlooked.

Lord, we pray for peace to replace despair. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Come to Him all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and He will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. Lift this burden of fear about the new address and about being failed again. Give wisdom for every next step, whether it is seeking help from a trusted advocate, a local charity, or a patient support service who can stand with you and help make sure the card and prescriptions are correctly placed without exposing you to further harm. Give You wisdom and favor, and let Your voice be heard.

We ask that You turn this long trial for good, for we know that to those who love God all things work together for good, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28. Restore hope where there has been despair, and let this testimony become one of Your faithfulness.

We trust You to do what the system has not done, to be the provider and protector when man has failed. We wait on You with expectation for that significant change you have prayed for. We have prayed this together in the mighty and merciful Name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our great physician, Amen.

We hear how heavy this has become for you. Trying to get a simple medical card and instead having cards sent to other houses, being registered with doctors far outside your area, and having your information mishandled again and again would wear anyone down. It makes complete sense you feel in despair and hesitant to share your new address, especially when you are in poverty and some of these medicines are essential to keep you well.

We are holding you in prayer, and we do not want you to have to carry this system battle alone. When bureaucracy keeps failing, it can make a real difference to have an advocate alongside you, someone who can help speak for you and keep track of what has been tried.

If you have someone you trust, would you consider asking them to go with you to the walk-in clinic, or asking the clinic if they have a patient support worker or welfare information service who could liaise with the health service on your behalf? Even having one other person help keep a simple dated note of calls and letters can take some of the weight off and give you a clear record to refer to. Please keep the clinicians at the walk-in clinic in the loop about the prescriptions you need, so they know you are struggling to afford them and can advise you while the card issue is being sorted. Alongside prayer, their guidance matters here.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You see the exhaustion and the worry about these medicines and costs. Provide what is needed day by day, give wisdom to everyone involved, and bring real and lasting improvement in this health service for our friend and for others. Give peace and steady hope as You lead forward. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you brother, the walk-in clinic is not health service run, I pay for it, but they can send prescriptions to my medical card. They have no support staff there. One doctor. It's what Californians call 'doc in a box', my medical card has until December, so I can get three months more, but there's no help to stop the medical card issues, which happen to many vulnerable people.

Your trial has been long and heavy, and we have heard your cry with deep sympathy. To be in poverty and to need life preserving medicines, and then to find the very provision appointed for your help entangled in such confusion, cards sent astray, names entered amiss, private things breached, and help placed beyond your reach, is a burden that would weary any spirit. That you have given up in despair we do not wonder at, yet we must wrestle with that despair as we would once have wrestled with self confidence, for both are forms of self righteousness.

You have found there is no hope in yourself, and no hope in the administration of man, and you have been tempted to draw the unwarrantable conclusion that there is no hope for you in God. But that word, our hope is lost, goes beyond the truth of God. God is the sinner's hope and He is not lost. He is the God of Hope, and while we have Him we have hope, and while we have hope we have life. To despair is not a mere sickness of the understanding but a sin of the soul, and no man has a just pretense to perish in despair while Mercy's gate stands wide open and the blood of the Son of God is still pleaded for sinners.

You speak as one who has been as a prisoner in a pit wherein is no water, and indeed you have been. Yet the text says, Turn you to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even after Giant Despair has done his worst, there remains a stronghold, and that stronghold is Christ Himself. We are saved by hope, but hope that is seen is not hope, for what a man sees why does he yet hope for. If we hope for what we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Your present Valley of Achor, this valley of trouble, may yet become a door of hope. What is your duty if the door seems shut, but to wait till it is open, and to knock again in prayer.

And in your poverty you are not forgotten by Him who though He was rich, yet for your sakes became poor, that you through His poverty might be rich. He knows what it is to have no room, to have no place to lay His head, to suffer hunger and weariness and the contempt of men. His poverty was voluntarily undertaken, and its riches are now yours by faith, not only riches for the world to come, but a present portion of grace, that He will supply your need according to His riches in glory. The health service may fail, and men may fail, but He does not fail.

We will pray with you in Jesus Name, through whom alone is salvation and access to the Father.

O Lord our God, Thou God of Hope, look upon this Thy servant in poverty and need. Thou seest the confusion and failure that has surrounded the medical card, the breach of what should have been kept private, the weary journeys and the walk in clinic, and the fear concerning medicines upon which bodily life depends. Have mercy and provide. Move upon those who administer these things to act with care and truth, to restore what has been disordered, and to let provision reach its proper place without further breach or burden. Guard this dear one as to dwelling and person, and give wisdom whether and how to make known what must be known. In Thy providence supply daily bread and daily medicine, and keep in health as Thou keepest in soul. Forgive despair where it has crept in, and turn this prisoner of hope to the stronghold which is Christ. Give a good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ, and let that hope be as an anchor within the veil. And hear the prayer for significant change, that better and more faithful healthcare may be shown to all who suffer, and that those who serve therein may do justly and with compassion. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our only hope and our great Physician. Amen.

Take courage and hope yet. The silver bell still rings, Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. While you live, hope, and while you hope, live, for your life lies in hope in Him.
