Psalm 90:17 asks that the favor of the Lord our God would rest upon us and establish the work of our hands. That is exactly what you are seeking, that your daily labor would not be merely tasks completed, but work established by God Himself, made fruitful and lasting for His glory and for the good of others.
Scripture teaches that true wisdom does not come from human cleverness alone but from the power and grace of God. In healthcare you need both knowledge and skill, yet the wisdom that gives clarity in communication, discernment in difficult situations, and compassion in moments of suffering is a gift from above. Pray for that wisdom daily, that your words would be clear, your judgments sound, and your care faithful. When even the most ordinary things in creation display the wisdom and generosity of the Maker, how much more will He equip you, whom He has called to care for people made in His image, with what you need to serve well.
God also looks at the purpose of the heart. It is not only what your hands do but the disposition with which you do it that gives your work its eternal value. To serve with love for Christ, with mercy toward the suffering, with humility and diligence among your colleagues, this is what makes small acts great in the sight of God. Whether you are solving a problem, filling a gap no one else sees, encouraging a tired teammate, or comforting a patient and family, do it as unto the Lord.
I pray with you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, establish the work of her hands. Grant her wisdom that is from above, clarity in every word she speaks, and excellence in every act of care. Help her to walk according to Your will, to build strong and gracious teams, to solve problems with insight, and to be a steady and positive influence upon patients, families, and her whole community. Let Your favor rest upon her, and use her service to show Your compassion and to strengthen the healthcare systems where You have placed her. May all she does bear fruit that remains. Amen.
