It is understandable to feel worried when you think you may have harmed something as precious as your sight. If you are having any symptoms at all such as blurred vision, pain, sensitivity to light, or dark spots, it is wise and prudent to have your eyes examined promptly by a doctor. God has built healing processes into our bodies, and He often works through the skill of physicians and the natural processes He created, whether healing comes at once or gradually. Any healing is from Him, and seeking care is a sensible way to steward the health He has given you.
I also prayed for your anxiety. There is a difference between the kind of fear the Bible commends and the kind that torments us. The fear of the Lord that Scripture speaks of is not a phobia or a dread that makes you shake in a corner. It is reverent awe before God, a deep respect for who He is, His greatness and power, learning to love what He loves and to turn away from what He hates. That awe is described as the beginning and the sum of wisdom, the starting place for real knowledge and understanding.
Anxious fear is different. It often grows when we forget the Lord and His presence with us. David said that even when he walked through the valley of death he would fear no evil because God was with him. Remembering the Lord is the cure for that kind of fear. Fear and faith move in opposite directions, where one is allowed to take over the other fades. When fear drives us, it can push us into wrong thoughts and actions, so we are encouraged not to be driven by sudden fear but to let the Lord be our confidence.
Scripture also connects the health of our soul with the health of our body. One passage teaches to not be wise in our own eyes but to reverence the Lord and turn from evil, and that this brings health to the body and strength to the bones. Another passage expresses a heartfelt wish that a person would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers. That is not presented as a guarantee that we will never have trouble, but it shows that God cares about both our spiritual and physical well being, and that our inner peace, trust, and attitudes can affect our bodies.
So my prayer for you is that God would protect your sight, that any examination would show your eyes are well, and that He would quiet your heart. Ask Him to replace anxious thoughts with a steady remembrance of His care for you through Jesus Christ, to fill you with faith and confidence in His presence, and to help you walk in that reverent trust in Him throughout each day. He sees you, He loves you, and He is able to keep you in perfect peace as you keep your mind stayed on Him.
