We join with you in thanking God for all His blessings and for the blessings yet to come, and we lift up before the Lord the two individuals you mentioned, asking for healing, for breakthrough in finances, and for restoration and reconciliation in your relationship and for the whole family.
We want to gently and lovingly point out that your request thanked God but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share why this is so important, because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved Romans 10:9. So we come to God together in the name of Jesus, trusting in His finished work on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.
We pray for healing for both of those you mentioned, for the Lord is the one who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3 and He has promised, I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds Jeremiah 30:17. We ask Him to touch their bodies, minds and spirits according to His perfect will.
We also bring your finances before the Lord. We know that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, and we are reminded to seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We encourage you to continue to be faithful stewards of what God has entrusted to you, to work diligently, to avoid debt and the love of money, and to trust Him with tithes and offerings and with contentment, for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil 1 Timothy 6:10.
Concerning your relationship and the desire for restoration and reconciliation for the whole family, we pray earnestly for Gods healing and unity. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed it, and that every romantic relationship should honor Him. If this relationship you mention is a marriage, we pray God will strengthen that covenant, help you to love one another deeply, to forgive as Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32 and to bear with one another in love Colossians 3:13. If this is a courtship, we encourage you to view being a boyfriend or girlfriend as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, pursuing purity and seeking a godly spouse and a marriage that honors God. We must lovingly address that if there is any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, Scripture calls this fornication and if outside a marriage covenant where one is married to another it is adultery, and God calls us to flee sexual immorality and to keep the marriage bed undefiled Hebrews 13:4. We also affirm that Gods design for marriage is between a man and a woman, and any same sex relationship is outside of His will. We pray that whatever the situation, you will walk in holiness, in honest communication, and in Christ centered love. For the whole family we pray for reconciliation, for God has given us the ministry of reconciliation 2 Corinthians 5:18 and He promises to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers Malachi 4:6, and to restore the years that the swarming locust has eaten Joel 2:25.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your mercy and for every blessing You have poured out and for those yet to come. We lift up these two dear ones to You and ask for Your healing hand upon them, for Your peace to guard their hearts and minds Philippians 4:7, and for Your provision to break through in their finances as they seek You first and trust You daily. Lord, we ask for deep restoration in this relationship, that it would be centered on You, pure, committed, and if it be Your will, leading to a godly marriage that reflects Christ and the church Ephesians 5:25. Heal any wounds, remove bitterness, and help them to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other just as You in Christ forgave us. We pray for reconciliation for the whole family, that any division, offense, or hurt would be healed by Your love, and that Your unity and forgiveness would reign in that home. Help them to walk in Your ways, to confess Jesus as Lord, and to experience the fullness of Your grace and restoration. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
