We have received your request and we join you in prayer to the Lord for your stomach and for relief from this pain.
We ask our merciful Father to have compassion on you, to take away the pain that troubles you, and to cleanse and restore you according to His gracious will. We pray that He would grant you healing and strength, and that you would know His comfort and presence in this suffering.
Scripture shows us that the Lord is the true physician of both soul and body. Sometimes He heals at once with a word, as He did for the paralytic, and sometimes He allows an infirmity to remain for a time for our good. You remember Timothy, who was faithful and beloved, yet suffered often with his stomach, and the apostle Paul counseled him to use the ordinary means of medicine for his health rather than receiving an immediate miraculous cure. This was not because Paul could not heal him, but because God in His wisdom uses both His direct power and the help of physicians, and He sometimes permits bodily weakness to keep us humble, to draw us closer to Him, and to show that His grace is sufficient.
For that reason we encourage you, while we pray for an immediate cure as you have asked, to also seek wise medical care and to use the means God has provided, trusting that He works through them. We also encourage you, as Christ said to the man He had healed, to come before the Lord with a humble and repentant heart, confessing your sins and trusting in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and life, so that your soul may be made whole as well as your body. Sickness can be a call to draw nearer to God and to examine our hearts before Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we bring this pain before You. You know this suffering in the stomach and every cause of it. We ask You in Your mercy to remove the pain, to cleanse, to cure and to restore health. Grant relief, grant healing, and grant peace. If it is Your will to heal at once, we thank You. If You appoint a slower path, give endurance, wisdom for doctors, and faith to trust Your goodness. Forgive sins, strengthen faith, and let this trial lead to greater love for You and confidence in Your promises. We ask this trusting in the compassion of Christ, who bore our infirmities. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord in prayer, stay in His Word, and let others who care for you know of your need so they can help you and pray with you. May the Lord grant you relief and, above all, the assurance of His love in Christ.
