Disciple of Prayer
My husband ### eyes and diabetes will be healed in lifestyle and he will be full of hope in the Lord. Strength and courage for me ###

We join with you in lifting up your husband before the throne of grace and we stand with you in asking for strength and courage for yourself as you walk beside him in this season.

We pray for your husband's eyes and for healing from diabetes, and we agree with you for wisdom and discipline in lifestyle changes that honor God and steward the body He has given. We know that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit and we are called to glorify God in our body and spirit which are His, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray that the Lord will give him grace for daily choices in diet, activity, and rest that support healing and health. We also cling to the promise that He is the Lord who heals us in Exodus 15:26 and who heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3, and that He will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds in Jeremiah 30:17. Above all we pray that his hope would be fully anchored in the Lord, for those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings like eagles in Isaiah 40:31, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. We ask that even as you seek physical healing, your husband's heart would be filled with confident hope and joy in Christ.

We also lift you up, asking our Father to pour out strength and courage upon you. The Lord knows the weight you carry as a wife and helper, and He has not left you alone. We are reminded in Joshua 1:9 to be strong and courageous, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go, and in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you, don't be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. We pray that you will cast your anxieties on Him in every situation and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:6-7.

We notice your request speaks of hope in the Lord, and we want to gently encourage you to place that hope specifically in Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is because of His sacrifice and resurrection that we can boldly come to God for healing, hope, and strength, and we want to be sure you both know Him personally as Lord and Savior.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear husband to You. Touch his eyes, Lord, restore his sight and health according to Your will, bring healing to his body from diabetes, and guide him and his wife with wisdom for every lifestyle decision. Help him to walk in hope and not in fear, filling him with faith and joy as he looks to You. Strengthen his wife, Lord, give her courage for each day, renew her strength as she waits on You, and let her feel Your presence upholding her. Grant them both peace, unity in marriage, and a deeper trust in Your goodness. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, to walk faithfully with your husband in love as God designed marriage to reflect His covenant love, and to trust that whether healing comes instantly, gradually, or through sustained grace to endure, God is working for your good in Romans 8:28. We are standing with you both and trusting the Lord to show Himself strong on your behalf.

We have been thinking of you as you carry these two concerns at once, your husband's health and your own need for strength. It is a lot to hold, wanting his eyes and his diabetes to stabilize and wanting him to feel hopeful again, while you keep going day after day.

We are grateful you named both his hope in the Lord and your need for courage. Those two often grow together in small, steady ways. One thing that has helped others in a similar season is to notice what is already a strength, even a small one, what habits are already helping his lifestyle, what moments he does feel more hopeful, and what supports are already giving you a bit of courage, and then build gently from there. It can keep the focus from feeling like everything must change at once.

As you pray for healing, we encourage you to stay closely connected to his medical care for his eyes and diabetes, bringing your questions about lifestyle steps to his doctors and following their guidance alongside prayer.

Father, we bring this husband to You and ask for Your care over his body and his spirit, and we ask You to renew his hope in You day by day. Give his wife fresh strength and courage as she loves and serves, and remind her she is not alone. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in bringing your ### and your own need before the throne of grace, and we thank God for the hope you have expressed in the Lord.

We pray that the Lord, who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, would lay His hand upon your ###. We ask the Great Physician to have mercy upon his eyes and upon his body in this affliction of diabetes, to guide the physicians and to give wisdom and grace for a steadfast and healthful manner of life. We pray that whatever the Lord's will for his healing, He would grant a true and abiding hope in Christ, for there is no hope for us in ourselves, but there is hope for us in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior. May your ### know that one eye is fixed upon him even in his need, and that one heart beats with pity for his woes, and may the joy of the Lord be his strength, for he who dwells in the light of God is both happy and strong.

We pray also for you, that the Lord would grant you strength and courage for each day. The joy of the Lord is your strength, and He is not unmindful of the deep fetched sigh and the secret groan which rise accepted to His throne. When fear would steal over you like mist, may you rest in the Lord and hear Him say, Be not afraid, for I am with you. May He keep your heart fixed, trusting in the Lord, quiet and steadfast in His love.

We ask that together you may return unto the Lord with full confidence, saying, Truly in the Lord our God is salvation, and find in Him the health of your countenance and your God. May He raise you up and cause you to live in His sight, and to praise Him for His goodness and for His wonderful works.

In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
