Beloved of All
We have received your request and we are praying for your fiance in the hospital and for you as you wait and care for him.
We ask the Lord in His mercy to bring healing according to His perfect will, to give wisdom to the doctors and nurses who are treating him, to grant comfort and peace in this time of fear, and above all to draw you both closer to Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to God.
We know that all healing comes from God and that He is sovereign over both sickness and health. He has power both to heal and to allow trials for our good. When we bear suffering with thankfulness and trust, He can restore what has been lost or give a greater reward in Himself. We pray that whatever the outcome, your confidence in Christ would remain firm and not be cast away, for He is faithful and hears those who call on Him with a sincere heart.
We also pray that God would use this time to strengthen your faith and your love, for without love even great gifts and knowledge are of little value, but love endures and bears all things. May He heal not only the body but also the soul, bringing repentance where needed, renewal where there has been weariness, and hope where there has been discouragement. Even when we have heard many times without seeing fruit, God can bring a sudden and complete recovery, as a physician who continues to apply medicine until health returns.
As you walk through this engagement, we encourage you to honor the Lord together in purity and reverence for His design. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. We pray that God will help you both to walk in holiness now, to prepare for marriage in a way that pleases Him, and to seek His guidance for your future together.
