Healing ###

We join you in lifting up your fiance before the throne of grace and we stand with you seeking God's healing hand upon him in the hospital. We are moved by your love and concern for him and we bring his need before our merciful Father together in Jesus' name.

We rejoice to hear you speak of your fiance, for we believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as ordained by God. We see your engagement as a godly courtship with the goal of marriage that honors the Lord, and we pray that your relationship is centered on Christ and pursues purity until that covenant is made. Scripture reminds us to flee fornication and to honor marriage, for sex before or outside of marriage is fornication or adultery and is outside God's will. We encourage you both to keep your courtship pure and to seek to build a marriage that glorifies God, if you are both believers in Christ walking toward that holy union. As it is written, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled in Hebrews 13:4.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and that there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are reconciled to God as in Romans 10:9, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus both for salvation and for approaching God in prayer.

We take comfort that our God is the healer. As it is written in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And in James 5:15, The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We also remember Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

We now pray together for him.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear fiance who is in the hospital and we ask for Your healing power to rest upon him. Lord, lay Your hand upon his body, ease his pain, restore what is broken or ill, guide the hands and wisdom of the doctors and nurses, and grant him complete recovery according to Your perfect will. We pray for Your peace to guard his heart and mind and for Your comfort and strength to sustain the one who loves him and waits in faith. Draw them both closer to You through this trial, deepen their faith, and prepare them for a godly marriage that honors You if it is Your will. Forgive our sins and cleanse us through the blood of Jesus, and let Your will be done in his life and health. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and healer, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing, to trust in the Lord with all your heart and not lean on your own understanding, and to rest in His love and sovereignty during this difficult time. Keep seeking Him together, remain in His Word, and surround yourselves with fellow believers who can support you in prayer. We are praying with you for healing, for peace, and for God's perfect will to be done.

We are praying for you as you wait for news about your fiance , and we know how heavy these hospital days can feel when someone you love is ill and you cannot do much but wait.

It is a lot to carry, loving someone through a hospital stay. The waiting, the updates that come slowly, the worry that sits with you even when you step away. Please know you are not alone in it, we are lifting both of you before the Lord and others who care about you want to walk with you too.

One thing that often helps in this kind of waiting is to have a simple way to keep track of what the medical team shares. If you can, keep a small notebook or note on your phone for questions you want to ask, what doctors say, and the best time to call for an update. And allow one trusted family member or friend to help share news with others so you can get some rest and stay near without carrying every call yourself. Lean on the hospital staff and let them know what you need to understand.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift to You and ask for Your mercy over him. Bring healing as You will, guide the hands and minds of those caring for him, and give him rest and strength. Comfort and steady his fiance in this anxious time, give wisdom for each decision and peace for each hour of waiting. Draw them both close to You and remind them they are held by Your care. Amen.
