We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up Nic, Julie, and Graeme before our Heavenly Father, the Great Physician. We know that You are the God who heals, for Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that You see their pain and are moved with compassion.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon Nic, who is battling vertigo and migraines. Lord, we know that these afflictions can be debilitating, robbing him of joy and peace. We pray that You would calm the storm within his body, steady his balance, and relieve the throbbing pain in his head. Bring clarity to his mind and strength to his body, that he may walk in the fullness of health You intend for him. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name and command it to leave. Your Word tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We claim this promise for Nic today.
For Julie and Graeme, who are suffering from back pain, we ask for Your healing hand to stretch out over them. Lord, we know that pain can be a heavy burden, limiting their ability to serve You and others with joy. We pray that You would touch their spines, muscles, and nerves, bringing alignment, relief, and restoration. Strengthen them in their weakness and remind them that Your grace is sufficient, for Your power is made perfect in their frailty (2 Corinthians 12:9). We speak life and wholeness over their bodies, declaring that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Lord, we also pray for their spirits. In times of physical suffering, it can be easy to grow weary or discouraged. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with Your love and the support of fellow believers who can uplift them in prayer and encouragement.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust in Your perfect will, knowing that whether You choose to heal them instantly or walk with them through this trial, Your purpose is good and Your love is unwavering. May Nic, Julie, and Graeme draw closer to You through this season, and may Your name be glorified in their lives.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, we pray. Amen.
